Entering into her sixth Do Good Weirdly, @boomchickfanfiction is back with a new TGCF (Heaven Official’s Blessing) fanfiction for the ages! Writing to support Athens Pride, her local Pride and Queer Collective, and We Rock Athens, a local rock camp for tweens and teens, she’ll start at 7pm EST this Saturday, July 1st, and continue writing straight through the night ending at 7am!

Returning to Do Good Weirdly after an eye-injury took them out of the previous event, @darkj3 is back to provide quality art and entertainment! Starting at 12pm EST on Saturday, July 1st they’ll be drawing a DBZ fan comic and reviving an Ask Jak blog for Jak and Daxter! They’re hoping to make it a full twelve hours, creating all the way up until 12am, all in support of Must Love Cats Rescue, A non profit, no kill rescue focusing on finding loving homes for cats and kittens in NOVA.

VARIETY STREAMER JIHXRA!

Back again to join us is @somnambuxism! Working predominantly in the Bleach fandom for this event and pulling a classic Do Good Weirdly “Winging it!”, Jihixra will be streaming this Saturday July 1st from 7pm PST until she can’t go on any longer! Invention and play are at the core of the event, and there’s no doubt that Bleach fans and casual viewers are in for a real treat!

All of Jihxra’s work will go to benefit United24, an organization helping to send money to support Ukraine.

ARTIST & WRITER ZIMITHRUS1!

Back at Do Good Weirdly, welcome @zimithrus1 to another event! Joining us as our very first FFXVI creator, she’ll be working on a pivotal scene from the main game involving Joshua and the Phoenix. (They add: “If I finish that piece before the twelve hours then I'll be doodling random sketches of FFVII and Tiger & Bunny!”) Planning to stream starting this Saturday the 1st at 12pm CST and aiming for a 12 hour run, she’ll be raising funds through her stream for local Oklahoma nonprofit Limbs for Life, dedicated to helping people obtain prosthetic limbs!

“I've been a fic writer for 9 years and I have over 50 fics!”

Welcome back @sephyathredon! Joining us to write for Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Sephy will be starting up at 12pm Mountain Time, and in her own words: 

   “I will be working on the next chapter of my AU fic where Zack and Sephiroth leave ShinRa with an ill Cloud in tow. It's called "The Reason We Rise, We Rise." I originally wrote the first chapter for the last DGW and the second chapter on my own. 

Summary:  “Shortly after Angeal's death, Infantrymen are reported going missing around ShinRa and one of the missing ones is Cloud Strife. His best friend Zack Fair tries to get to the bottom of it and finds out that he's being held within ShinRa's science department, but he's going to need some help to bust him out. 

  That's where Sephiroth comes in. Genesis and Angeal have long deserted ShinRa and he's been entertaining the idea of doing the same. Zack's proposed mission to rescue Cloud may just provide just the opportunity he's been looking for."" She’ll be using the writing stream to raise funds for Gamers Outreach(https://gamersoutreach.org/), a nonprofit organization that provides entertainment to hospitalized families through video games, and The Entertainment Community Fund(https://entertainmentcommunity.org/), providing a safety net for entertainment professionals! WRITER UPSIDE!

“An OG Returns!”

One of our original writers with DGW, @up-sideand-down is back once more! Joining us this Saturday the 1st at 8pm CT, they say: “I'm feeling refreshed and ready to write. This is probably one of the most fun and rewarding events I take part in and I can't wait to give and celebrate with my fellow creators!” Writing in the FFVII fandom, Upside isn’t sure yet what she’ll be creating. “I have a lot of WIPS to work on...but I may also work on a new fic. I'll know for sure when I start.” Those who have watched them work in the past can tell you that whatever Upside chooses is going to be a TREAT! Every year Upside makes it further in the night—this year they’re hoping to hit 3am but would love to make it all 12 hours if they can! This year she’ll be working to benefit The Innocent Project--a group that is committed to freeing those who are wrongfully imprisoned.

Still deciding on his chosen cause, Toshin knows that he’ll be supporting disability, autism, or trans activism with his work! This Saturday, July 1st, he’ll be starting up at 7pm CST and going until he can’t anymore, working on some long-standing things he “really needs to start”.
