Hello! on October 4th 2023, i announced i was hosting a DHMIS reanimation collab. And thankfully, every part got taken.
but unfortunately, half of the people taking the parts didn’t get back to me (possibly forgot, decided not to, lost contact etc). exactly half of the parts were animated, but half of it is still unfinished. that’s why i’m making an announcement that 9 MORE PARTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! (as of now.) please check my pinned post immediately for info and which parts are available if you are interested! i plan on getting this done on or around JUNE 19th!
There’s also discord for people who are joining! the link i currently have doesn’t work so please ask @mtsodie for the discord. i would also like to thank him for helping me with the collab :]
REMEMBER!
-please keep in contact with me if you are accepted! (in my DMs)
-only ask to join if you know you can get your part done near june 19th
-check the pinned post for updates on which parts are and aren’t available
-and obviously, only ask to join if you can animate.
-make sure your animation lines up with the time and audio of your part.
-when you’re finished with your part , email it to [email protected]
THATS ALL FOR NOW! remember to reblog :o] I’ll see you soon! 🏠
i don’t remember if you were interested or not.. (my memory is in shambles) but are you still interested in the dhmis reanimation collab? because the artist job just opened!! if you aren’t interested that’s totally fine plus i might have the wrong person lol-
Yeah Id love to!!!! I'm actually in the server and was just hoping to cover for anyones parts if needed, just let me know which one and ill get to it!
So, I’m guessing all (or at least most) of you are aware of the many reanimation collabs on Twitter and Youtube.
If you are an animator, have you ever wanted to join one of these FUNKY reanimates, but haven’t found one that suits your interests? Or maybe you have joined reanimation projects before and just want to add another to the list of ones you are already doing.
Well, I’ve got news for you!!
DHMIS Reanimated is a reanimation project for all six episodes of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, and is currently open for applications! If you are interested, check out https://twitter.com/DHMISReanimate for more information!!
*none of the mods here are actually hosting the project, i’m just boosting it here to help it out!!

- don’t make your animation just one frame/a still image.
-don’t directly trace anything
-please don’t ask for a job if you aren’t actually going to participate !!
-AS A NOTE.. the slide transition at the end of your animation to the next will be up to you to animate! :o]
-please don’t use stuff like gacha club/life for your part
-make sure your animation is as long as your clip!!
ONCE YOU’VE FINISHED YOUR ANIMATION EMAIL IT TO [email protected] !! (please ignore the name of my old weird ass email ..) i’m not very good at this sort of thing, so i’d appreciate as much support and reblogs as i can get for this!!
ughhh i know it’s a little far from the dhmis tv show anniversary but i really wanted to host some kind of MAP/reanimation collab for the first episode.. i’d cut scenes ofc to make it shorter since a lot of people probably wouldn’t join but that would be fun right?
edit: thinking of making a reanimated collab for the jobs song :) suggestions on what to do and how to put this together is much appreciated!
if you are still interested there’s 8 now available parts for my dhmis reanimation collab now since i had to reassign. if you aren’t interested sorry for bothering ! :o]
A WIP of my re-animation of a shot from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 4, for the DHMIS Reanimate collab! This is also my first time using Pencil2D. Not the most user-friendly software, but it was freeeeee.
Here is my first entry for Stickynote105′s DHMIS Reanimate collab! Earlier I showed off two still-frame drawings for this video; but I hadn’t posted much here about the rest of it.
While the 2D drawings were made with Firealpaca, the 3D animation was done using Blender. For this shot, I was already a step ahead as back in 2014 I recreated the character models from it. Building the rest of the scene was fairly easygoing, as I intended to keep the simplicity of the original shot’s models. I spent a very long time fighting with the camera, trying to get its movement to match that of the original shot using keyframes. In the end, the solution was much simpler. I had the camera follow a bezier curve as a motion path, under a constraint that kept it pointed at an empty/null in the middle of the table.
I wanted to keep the 3D turnaround mostly the same as the original, with one major difference- The rendering! The original had very basic lighting and rendering to match its models, so I decided to be a bit ironic (If that’s the appropriate use of the term?) and give the scene some nice lighting, Cycles rendering, and motion blur, while keeping the simplicity of the models themselves.
All in all, I’m glad with how this turned out. I’m also glad that Sheep It Render Farm exists, because this one would’ve taken 3+days to churn out otherwise.
