ughhh i know it’s a little far from the dhmis tv show anniversary but i really wanted to host some kind of MAP/reanimation collab for the first episode.. i’d cut scenes ofc to make it shorter since a lot of people probably wouldn’t join but that would be fun right?

The reading of it as being centered around Sleep/Her through that segment is so lovely and well-put, especially re: Her contradictory actions and how unpredictable She must seem at times and him just being fed up with it at the end! Like, he's heartbroken and exhausted, but still determined to leave once and for all because he can only take so much. Makes complete sense, I love that a lot actually, and putting it that way, it also adds some tasty contrast though maybe not quite contradiction between that distracted focus/direction and the repetition of "I know what you want from me" that bookends the song in general? She knows what she wants from him, and he knows that in all its forms and finalities, but even if She wants someone to be instead of Herself (consumption of its own, really, not to constantly bring that imagery into things) you have this intense inner turmoil, from either one. Or hey, if they're so symmetric, parallels of one another, it could even be both! The diversity in readings and openness of interpretation is half of what I really love so much about all of this, really.
