Today's Activity that feels like a Metaphor for my Life

It's a fitted king-size sheet and I am trying to put it on our queen-size bed. The king bed is long gone. We took it to the dump when we sold our farm and brought our farm furniture home.  We had to make room. I had insisted on that king-size mattress when I was pregnant and my enormous body demanded more room for everything. The bed now gone, the sheets remain, and they don't fit our current bed.  Why am I even changing sheets? Didn't we used to have a cleaning woman? 

The sheets from my old bed mock my pointless existence.
