Social interactions do not always have to involve talking - many of my catchups consist of activity based pursuits such as gaming or going to the movies. Even though it may appear that we are not doing much, for me socialising isn't defined by how much we speak; it is being in the presence of one another. Showcasing Autistic strengths! Shadia here. My mentee and I had a drawing session last night as they expressed interest in learning how to sketch horses. Well, this was the FIRST horse they had ever drawn! The eyes are spot on and incredible attention to detail and the expressions in the face.
