Penny enjoys playing pranks and surprisingly reading. They actually don't like walking too much, so I usually end up with a purple clown octopus piggybacking on me.

Well its true

Gaara enjoys napping and the sun. They can be lazy, but is a hardworking when they want to. The only thing I've seen them actively dislike, at least in rookie form, is water from some rivers nearby. I wonder why?

•How did you meet?

Oh! Well, as I was saying, I met Gaara when me and Penny got stuck in a desert. They got us out and the trip helped all three of us connect.

Penny was there when I first woke up here. Although they weren't a keramon just yet, just a tsumemon

• Digivolution Line?

Well...uh... I might not be a good partner, since Penny refuses to digivolve and I've only gotten Gaara to champion. Which is Tortomon by the way!

Digiweek 2022 Day 1: Beginning

The instant I saw Jou when I first came upon Digimon, he was instantly my favorite, and as I got older that did not change. He was such a caring dork and it was always so fun when he hyped himself up really hard. I love how relatable he is to everyone, it's great!

Digiweek 2021 - day 1: Beginnings

So I decided to do the Digiweek 2021 event this week. The first prompt is beginnings, whith one of the examples being “how you first got into Digimon”

(btw, i usually prefer the original japanese names, but since I’m talking about my first experiences with the english dub, I will be using the english names, just for this post)

For me it was in 3rd grade. I don’t remember which was the exact first episode I saw. I know I watched assorted episodes of the Devimon and Etemon arcs out of order (I also never happened to catch the Frigimon ep during the original run, first seeing it when I stumbled upon a VHS when I was in middle school) and despite some other kids saying it was a Pokemon ripoff, I thought it was pretty good.

However, I remember it was the Myotismon/real world arc that really got me hooked. If I had to pick a single episode that got me invested it would be “Out on the Town”, the Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon ep. First of all, my favorire holiday is halloween and as a kid I always loved goofy incompitant henchmen, so despite dying at the end of the episode, Pumpkinmon instantly become a favorite of mine (I think he may actually be my second favorite perfect level digimon after LadyDevimon) 

Second of all, like I said, up until then I had mostly seen various Devimon and Etemon eps out of order  (I think I’d seen all of the Etemon arc, and like half the Devimon arc) and though I may or may not of seen some of the early eps where DemiDevimon was messing with the kids (not totally sure) but I know I had somehow completely missed Myotismon’s introduction and the Digidestined traveling back to the real world. (I think I may have previously been watching reruns during a different timeslot or something)

So needless to say, I was pretty confused when I first saw Matt and TK running around in Japan, as well as when a Vampire villain I’d never seen before showed up, but everyone recognized him. Obviously I’d missed a lot, but the whole premise of them being in the real world (as well as a much more ruthless villain) must of captured my interest, since from then on I continued to tune into every episode of the Digimon Adventure anime, in order, all the way through Wizardmon / Gatomon eps, the Dark Masters arc, and the final showdown with Apocalymon. 

In fact, I’m fairly certain Digimon Adventure was the first series with an ongoing story that I ever got into. Up until then I’d mostly watched nicktoons, episodic cartoon network shows, kids horror anthologies like Goosebumps, and the first season of Pokemon (I know Pokemon kind of had an ongoing story, but really, for the most part the show was pretty episodic and you could watch the episodes out of order, and the only big change is some of the characters had new pokemon)

 So I think it says something to the writing quality of Digimon Adventure that it got little 8 to 9-year old me so invested as to follow along a serialized plot for the first time ever.

Digiweek 2021 – Day 2: Voyage

A place in the Digital World you would like to visit/explore?

A place I would definitely like to visit is Digitamamon's restaurant! I know that place has usually negative implications in a few different media, but apparently food there is great and I would love to visit it!

For those unaware, Digitamon, a perfect level egg Digimon, owns a restaurant in the Digital World and serves cheap but pretty tasty food. In Adventure 1999 Joe Kido and his Digimon partner Gomamon came to Digitamamon’s restaurant to eat after the original Digidestined split because of Taichi Yagami’s disappearance. Joe and Gomamon didn’t have any money so they had to work in the restaurant to pay their bill back – that’s how Yamato Ishida and his partner Gabumon found them and that’s what led to the two of them working for a while until they found out Digitamamon was working with Vandemon and Joe didn’t have to work back for weeks for a simple dinner.

Second time Digitamamon’s restaurant appears is in Adventure 02, when the new generation of Digidestined goes to eat lunch and they only have Japanese money, yen, instead of dollars, and it seems like it’s going to be a repeat of the previous season – thankfully children are saved by Mimi Tachikawa, 1999’s Digidestined, and her American friend Michael, who pay the bill.

Third time we sort of see this wonderful restaurant is in ReArise, where Digitamamon is scammed by Etemon, who offers to co-own the restaurant with him, except Etemon wants to earn the money fast and he raises the prices enormously to earn fast cash. Etemon’s scheme is discovered by Gabumon and his friends, and Digitamamon gets his (now unfortunately ruined by unsatisfied customers) restaurant back.

In all cases Digitamamon starts as a bad guy, but he’s really not, and I think oversized cracked egg with green legs is one of the funkiest Digimons you can find, especially if he owns a restaurant.

Digidestined week 2021~

. It’s been a while since I’ve drawn and as usual, don’t join until the last second. I saw many people’s oc’s and stories that I felt inspired to join in!

Introduce yourself!

I’m Haruko, 14 years old! I’m what you’d call a klutz with a capital K. My vision makes it hard for me to see things like tree branches and of course, glass doors... Some people do TOO good of a job cleaning, ya know? That coupled with my poor balance it is amazing I haven’t broken every bone in my body... My digivice is the DIgivice IC. It’s white on the edges and back with a Green top. One day I hope to have enough spirit to help my partner evolve one day. I just don’t have the confidence right now.

For some reason I have the crest of knowledge... I can’t possibly be smarter than anyone else. Everyone knows a lot about computers right? I also love learning new things about technology. It’s amazing! Even the hearing aids I wear to hear better are amazing. They have bluetooth, meaning I can listen to music and videos from my phone without headphones!

The last day of camp has finally arrived. I've always wanted to try the food at Digitamamon's restaurant, so I think this would be our last stop.

I've always wanted to travel the world and see its sights. While I've never wanted to pick fights and make enemies in this world, I would enjoy watching the fights and see the relations between everyone. I would love to visit the terminals and the Bazaar from frontier. Who know? Maybe me and datamon would get along. Friends.... I'd like to think, if every submission of this week was canon, many of us would atleast be good acquaintances.

Digidestined Week Day 4 (art) + Day 5 (no art) Day 4 - Bonfire Night! + Day 5 - Wait... Did You Hear Something? “- the girl doesn't do it and then after a while she goes to sleep. the next morning she wakes up and finds her boyfriend still not there. she gets out to check and man door hand hook car door.“ I finish telling the tale, only Lunie and Dorumon really seemed to enjoy it while Beth, Madelyn, and Crane seemed.. less enthused, but that’s fine. I don’t even know if Gaomon or Hachi heard it, but I’m not gonna wake them up to find out. Sure it wasn’t the scariest story, but we were left with me as the story teller, I’m a bit of a crybaby and a coward what’d they expect?

A little later on in the night the 4 of us and our partners just were talking around the campfire, Emma, Vinny, and Alice as well as the rest of our Digimon we assumed had gone to bed. A rustling was heard coming from the woods nearby, honestly that was scarier than my attempt of a story. Before any of us could even decide if or who should investigate, Hachi pounced on the noisemaker... It was just Vinny and Palmon.... I hope Hachi didn’t hurt them in his pouncing, but they’d brought us some drinks and some stuff to make s’mores! Some people might think it weird, but I like to burn my marshmallows in the fire when I roast them, adds more flavor. Though I didn’t wind up actually making any into s’mores just eating burnt marshmallows into the night with my friends until we all turned in for the night.
