Digimon Frontier - Episode 4
I really enjoyed this episode! Probably because it was really pretty and focused on token girl Izumi. We already almost have all the spirit evolutions...will the next step be powering up each one or something else?
Notes:
I guess it's okay for them to emphasize the Fairymon is a "female warrior" (episode title), but I was kind of annoyed that she wasn't strong enough to win her debut battle and Wolfmon came to the rescue. That's kinda bullshit. And then Takuya and Tomoki laughed at the thought of Izumi digivolving 😑 (probably accurate to elementary school boys in the 2000s tho)
Was Koji gonna just sleep on that bench without anything else? DigiWorld life is rough. If this was Tamers then sleep wouldn't be needed (I think)
I think they've introduced about 4 different train digimon at this point. How many are there? And can I collect their figures?
When Tomoki and Takuya were running across the bridge and it was falling apart, what was up with that? Is Cherubimon actively destroying the DigiWorld?
Omg Fairymon's design is amazing <3 Love the color scheme and her face is cute too. I'm a little surprised how sexy she is though, she's basically wearing lingerie and it wasn't censored in the dub at all. Also, I had to laugh when part of her transformation sequence was a perfectly triangular pair of panties hovering towards her. She also attacks with her butt at one point. Oh well, despite feeling awkward about her design being in a kids' show, she's still a queen
Tumblr media
Izumi slapping the Mushmon was great lol. Love it when humans fight digimon directly like that.
The gag where Junpei is like "purple and yellow, what kinda loser would like those colors? " to the Mushmon and then Izumi's like "you've gone too far." got a laugh out of me.
Koji continues to be a butt munch. Wonder when he'll officially join the team?

Digimon Partner: Roxy Edition
(edit: Roxy never clicked enter and this was in our drafts so i'm sharing it) So since Abayomi and Princess did one of these, I felt like I would as well. Similarly to Princess I will just be doing one digivolution lines primarily because the typical default Line for the Rookie is pretty much perfect as well, but I wanted to have fun with it. So lets begin
ROOKIE/CHILD: Gabumon!
Tumblr media
When we were a kid, we gravitated towards the character of T.K(and Kari but we kept that a secret.) and while T.K wasn't Gabumons partner... Gabumon was the partner of Matt/Yamato, T.K's older brother. So we tend to think of Gabumon as a protector and really close to us. Given that Gabumons default line of Garurumon>Weregarurumon>Metalgarurumon goes into a wolf theme with some frost elements, it also seemed like a natural fit for me. That being said, I will come up with a new evolution line that represents the protective nature to reflect that nature, and my love of warriors/paladins/knights, while still keeping the color scheme and and even the Wolf theme for the most part!
Champion/Adult: Wolfmon/Lobomon
Tumblr media
Wolfmon sticks to the wolf theming and introduces swordplay. Wolfmon also has some other great connections. Wolfmon is the spirit evolution for the Spirit of life, which was held by Koji in digimon Frontiers (a series where the humans become the digimon). This is fun because Kojis arc involves reconnecting with his brother, which is kind of a nice connection as to why Gabumon was a natural choice for me. ULTIMATE/PERFECT: Knightmon
Tumblr media
Knightmon loses the wolf motif and focuses more on the armored knight aspect but I think it already builds on the direction Wolfmon was going. It doubles down on the warrior and protective aspects that I feel so connected to. This also connects to the T.K Yamato connection that is important to me. Knightmons shield carries the crest of Hope on it, which was the crest associated with T.K.
Tumblr media
And now its time to return to the wild... MEGA/ULTIMATE: Cres Garurumon
Tumblr media
Cresgarurumon is what this has all been building up to. Cres-garurumon is first a callback to the traditional line of Gabumon(and in fact Gabumon did digivolve into it in the 2020 version of Digimon adventure) but it also builds on those knightly aspects of the digivolution line I shared here. The color scheme also I feel works nicely throughout the line, the yellows, greys/silvers, and purple can be seen throughout the entire line! each stage also focuses on a different fighting style!! Dual wielding, sword and board, and two handers.

What Digimon Partners would Persona Characters have?
Tumblr media
((Hee ho dood, Prinnyfrost reporting for duty! Happy Digimon Day everyone! Gonna be honest with you, I just found out about an hour ago that it's Digimon Day thanks to a Google notification, but that doesn't mean I can't celebrate by pulling something out of my butt. And fortunately, I have 2 ideas of how to go about it. One of which is that I'm going to continue playing Digimon World 1 and see how much further I can get. I doubt I'll be able to beat it today, but who knows. But before I do, let's give out some more Digimon to characters from another franchise. This one being the Persona series.
Tumblr media
Honestly, considering how similar the Cyber Sleuth games are to the modern Persona games and the fact that people who worked for Shin Megami Tensei are helping with the more recent Digimon games, part of me feels that I probably should have done this first instead of Disgaea. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if someone would argue that Persona should have a crossover with Digimon more than any other franchise aside from Jojo's Bizzare adventure, yeah even more than Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts. That being said, I am going over characters I feel like would be a good match up across the series instead of sticking to one title at a time. I am going to try to keep repeated digivolution lines to a minimum as usual. And of course if you agree/disagree with me or just have ideas for pairs of your own, feel free to let me know. Now with that out of the way, let's begin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think one of the pairs that a lot of fans would agree with is Joker from Persona 5 getting an Impmon with the ability to warp Digivolve into Beelzemon at some point then get Blast Mode later on. It just fits considering how rebellious they are and they're gunslingers. Also, I can't be the only one thinking about these two challenging Makoto to a motorcycle race. It's also interesting to note that Beelzemon represents one of the Seven Deadly Sins, though granted I think he and Leviamon should switch the sins they represent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Sticking with Persona 5, we have Futaba Sakura and call me crazy, but I'm giving her a wormmon. Those who are only familiar with the Adventure 2 anime might be questioning my decision, but anyone who finished Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory might have figured out what I'm going for here. Yeah, they're getting the Hudiemon line. I can already imagine Wormmon actually being the last gift Futaba got from her mother and Hudiemon being like some temporary fusion between the two when their bond becomes strong enough, almost like spirit evolution in a way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Now we dive into the original Persona with it's main character, Naoya Toudou. Now the interesting part about Naoya is that you can give him pretty much any Digimon and it'll work because in my opinion, out of all the main characters in the series, Naoya is the most representative of the player considering he doesn't really have a set personality outside of the manga (Tatsuya is a bad boy that's nice when you get to know him, Minato is emo who's good natured, but rarely smiles, Hamuko is the opposite as she's rarely seen without a smile, Yu is a playboy who knows when to get serious, and Akira usually quiet, but confident and likes to play around) and the events of what he does post game is purely determined by whatever the player decides, which is further helped by the fact that in Persona 2, he ends up leaving his friends to do who knows what and doesn't come back to them until the end of the game for a reunion. What we DO know about him thanks to his shadow is that he's a gamer, so I'm giving him a toy agumon to start with, but the digivolution line can go in any direction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Jumping from Persona 1 to 3 is one of my favorite characters, Yukari Takeba. And yeah, I'm giving her a Biyomon. She is kind of similar to Sora in a way given her sass and I can totally see Biyomon trying to help Yukari relax every time she's annoyed, especially if it's Junpei related, but what really helps is the fact that she's a wind user. I am going to give them the main line but with 2 changes. Instead of Birdramon and Phoenixmon as the champion and mega forms, I'm giving them Aquilamon and AncientKazemon to stick with the wind theme.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. I feel like Elecmon would be a decent fit for Kanji Tatsumi. Not only are the both electric users, but given how Elecmon are known for looking after the Digi-eggs in the Digital World, you could argue that Elecmon would try to encourage Kanji to not be afraid of showing off his more compassionate and creative side. It's okay to break bones if you have to but remember that it doesn't solve every issue. Instead of the main line, I'll have Thundermon the champion stage, Sinduramon the ultimate stage, and Boltmon the mega.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. I want to make sure I cover at least one character of each of the games before I end things off, so let's step back to Persona 2 for everyone's favorite "Big Sis" Maya Amano. Now it has been a while since I played, but I recall Maya being rather energetic considering her position as a reporter for a magazine and using such catchphrases as "think positive" and "grab your asses and run". This along with her main persona being an ice type makes me a bit confidant to give her Jellymon with its main Digivolution line as Jellymon prefer peace but won't hesitate to scrap the moment it senses danger and does what it can to protect the innocent. Not only that, but its mega form, Amphimon, has the ability to banish evil Digimon to the Net Ocean, kind of like how Maya's Omni Dimension is an instant kill move in the game. That being said, I can hear arguments for Lunamon as well as Tatsuya getting Coronamon because duh, sun and moon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. I don't think I need to explain why Yusuke would be getting a Renamon. Considering Yusuke's patience, passion for art, and him literally having the codename: fox, Renamon and its main Digivolution line is downright perfect for Yusuke. This includes Sakuyamon's Maiden Mode as it could remind Yusuke of his dearly departed mother. What I would give to see Yusuke and Taomon spend a day off simply drawing each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. Might as well give a Digimon to at least one of the members of the Velvet Room. Honestly, I was not expecting Marie to be my first pick to mention here, but when I looked up Morphomon and its main evolution line, I felt these two would go well together. Morphomon is a carefree Digimon that enjoys nature and often touches anyone and anything new to determine whether or not they're safe to be around. Marie would definitely relate to that given how often she complains about being cooped up in the Velvet Room without much to do and how much she enjoys exploring Inaba with Yu. As for its main digivolution lines, which is just different stages of Eosmon, it's an artificially created Digimon that becomes more and more unstable overtime and has the power to create illusions via mirrors, which fits in pretty well with the theme of Persona 4 since you do end up fighting Marie in the game at some point (as long as requirements are met).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Considering that today is Digimon Day, it probably wouldn't sit right with me if I didn't give Agumon with his main digivolution line to at least one character before I end the post and I want it to be someone from the first Persona title as well. I already paired Naoya with Toy Agumon so I guess the best bet would be Masao Inaba. This is mainly due to Mark having the chariot arcana, which represents one's courage and the fact that he butt heads often with Kei Nanjo who I can see having a Gabumon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. On the other hand, I can totally see Junpei Iori chillin' with a Veemon. It's pretty much the same reasons as to why I gave a Veemon to Jaden from Yugioh in one of my previous posts, but unlike Jaden, I see Junpei just sticking with the Veedramon line because of how much he wants to become the "hero of the story". I can hear arguments for the Ex-Veemon line though, especially if we give the Stingmon line to Chidori.
And that should cover it at least for now. I might do a part 2 later on. Let me know if you wish to see that. Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts.))

I think a lot about Lucemon from Digimon World Re:digitize: Decoded and Digimon World: Next Order because neither are technically evil, at least not intentionally.
Spoilers, if you haven't checked out the games, I guess?
Decoded Lucemon is pretty much a little kid that got seperated by it's gaurdian and friend angemon and kidnapped by Barbamon (most likely the very same one you confront with Rina in Cyber Sleuth, yep...). Lucemon, along with several other unfortunate digimon, was tortured and experimented by Barabamon and left for dead calling for help in a bolted prison cell until the protagonist breaks it open only to see him succum to his injuries. This results in the child Lucemon's digicore being overcome by malice and turning to Falldown Mode. Barbamon adds insult to injury by continuing to brainwash Lucemon FM to the point where he's become a mindless killing machine. Eventually, it digivolves into Lucemon SM and almost destroys both the digital world and the real world. After it's defeated, Lucemon's (rookie/child level) spirit thanks you for stopping it, says that everything should return to normal on its own, and the spirit returns home. Needless to say, Lucemon's circumstances in De:code is kinda horrifying and Barbamon is the worst.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then there is -Next 0rder-'s Lucemon who is arguably the most chill Lucemon so far (both figuratively and literally, you meet him in an ice dungeon during post-game content). Many, if not all, of the digimon who were initially introduced in Digimon lore and animes as villains are a lot more laid-back and sometimes down right friendly in-game and some don't need to fight you in order for them to become your ally (It's kinda refreshing, really). The Lucemon here is no different, and in-fact takes a very unique interest in the protagonist, first approching you as a rookie to tell you that they've been watching you since the begining of your journey, and then challenging you in FM and later SM, albiet asking the player some philisophical questions over "what defines good and evil" to either test, startle, or just confuse the protag. Once the fighting is done Lucemon confirms that it's not the protagonist's strength that defines them as a force of good but rather the their perserverence and conviction. They also start talking in a more casual tone with you and join the city where you've been recruiting a whole bunch of other digimon to live in. They also help you out in a DLC quest with Beezlebumon, which is pretty neat!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Can't rememer if this is correct but I believe Next 0rder Lucemon also keeps track of your in-game movements. From wins and loses, money earned, traversed areas?, etc.

aannnnnd it’s digimon!whisper!! (champion stage, anyhow-) finally digimon!tangle has her gf
whispamon (or if i think of a better name later insert that one) is based on reppamon, a digimon that permanently wears a mask and has vaguely wolflike form, although technically the yokai it’s inspired by is a weasel.
anyway - i translated her wispon into reppamon’s tail blade, and instead of one eye, it has one for each wisp! they are now spirits that inhabit the tail blade, and can individually leave it (albeit in an invisible ghostly form only visible to whispamon) and possess the tail for each of whispamon’s themed elemental attacks, which are just the wispon attacks except green can hover OR send out a flying wind blade
i haven’t touched on pre-evolutions for this au yet, which, i will eventually... canonically, reppamon digivolves from kudamon, a wiggly ghosty ferret with arms and no legs, and gatomon (tangle’s ‘mon) digivolves from salamon, a puppy digimon..

(I've babbled a little bit about what my thoughts were for DigiMon AUs as a kid, and how I wish things could be re-done slightly, so I may as well just put it all together. To be clear, this isn't an idea of "the perfect" version, or meant to slam the original versions, just some thoughts I had when I was younger that I'm having fun expanding on~)
Original Adventure; not much different... I wish ALL the DigiDestined got to have the spot-light when it came to the final Mega forms of their partners (I also wish DNA Digivolving had been introduced earlier... it already kinda was, with the implications of OmniMon, but imagine if this was something each kid got to do, and we saw every combo of the original group)
02 Adventure; Kari is the one who inherits the goggles from Tai, so she's the new leader kid (Davis is still very much the man of action, he's just not in charge of everybody else. he's also come to accept that Kari isn't into him, and instead he's ironically over-protective when other dudes talk to her- "Is this guy bothering you?" she can handle herself fine, but she finds it endearing). A few more kids in the group, so there is a full team of new DigiDestined with each Crest (maybe some of the international kids we eventually met are introduced earlier, they get to be part of things through the internet etc), but they also still share/trade Armors, so we see every form of each DigiMon
Tamers; also not much different... I like the idea of Ai and Mako being a little older when ImpMon finally reunites with them, implying it has been a few years since they were last together (and as for who the actual partner is, I lean toward Ai being a little older, and thus the DigiVice was meant to be hers, and after they have a tearful reunion, she joins ImpMon when he goes to help the others, BioMerging into a new form of BeelzeMon- let's call that BeelzeMon Noble Mode. Mako still gives them the toy gun that turns into the big blaster). Also, ImpMon gets to actually have a cool Evolution sequence. A little more attention for Kazu, Kenta, and Suzie too~
Frontier; first of all, Zoe's DigiMon Warrior forms need to look BETTER. just... an actually COOL armor design for KazeMon, and a legit Beast Form (not just a lady with bird wings on her head and robot arms). When the main kids meet the antaginist DigiMon, they don't realize these are other kids at first, because they only ever see them while fighting and transformed with their Spirit Evolution. Eventually, when one of them is finally defeated a tired-out, the main kids see them transform back! They finally realize these "evil DigiMon" are just like them! Except, y'know. Being jerks to the EXTREME. Koichi is still dealing with the same issues (being separated from his physical body, and some memory-loss), but he's the the first one to officially switch sides. Eventually, the other kids come around, it just takes a while... but then there is a full team of the Ten Legendary Warriors!

last time on dragonball z: sam was moved to the ICU with a sudden fever and possible bacterial infection. she was intubated and sedated, and we were waiting on blood cultures to figure out what was up.
today we learned she has e. coli. yes, that e. coli. no we don't know how she got it. could be from contaminated food or a uti that digivolved when her immune system couldn't fight it off completely. but now that they know what it is, they can fight it better instead of just throwing antibiotics at the wall.
she's on a lower dose of the blood pressure meds and her ventilator's at 30% (meaning she's breathing 70% on her own), both very good. all her scans and tests came back clear. she's having her PICC line (the thing they use to give her chemo) removed and possibly a new port installed. just a big day all around.
(look if I sound flippant or nonchalant or whatever it's bc 1. I have typed this same update three times already on the various social medias we've made and at least here I can talk like a person instead of a PR rep 2. I am so tired. I am actively dissociating 75% of the time. I am in If I Don't Feel Feelings Nothing Can Hurt Me mode. is that healthy? absolutely not. is it getting me through the day? for now.)
I haven't really talked about Kiddo much - she's a rockstar in every regard and has done her best to keep our and her mom's spirits up. (and yes, we're keeping an eye out for Toxic Positivity; she's also very open about when she's sad or scared or worried, so it's not all stiff upper lip all the time.) her aunt who lives nearby steals her away occasionally to let her play with the chickens and cuddle their big dog, and they got to do first night of Hanukkah stuff together. we take pictures and videos of her opening our tNBC advent calendar to send when Sam comes off the sedation. we're trying.
sincerely, genuinely Thank You for everyone's help and donations. every dollar is one less thing we have to worry about, and everything taken off our plate is an enormous boon. 🧡🧡🧡

I don't know who remembers NikkiNEEP's old Digimon Destined fic, but I've played with it for years. These are my latest designs of her "Taimon" line. In her fic, Tai turned into a Digimon. These are Digimon made from data online about Tai, in some other Digital World. From top down- Taicromon (my own invention), Tainimon, Taimon, and Taichimon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plus, these are BlackTaimon and BlackTaichimon- virus variants! There are Ultimate and Mega level stages for each of these, but I haven't finished them yet.
I don't know if Nikki is still around, but I want to thank her for inspiring these guys.
Lore in under the readmore.
Taicromon: Fresh. Vaccine. A baby Digimon born from data from old fansites. The love of the DigiDestined Tai gathered on the Internet, forming into this Digimon. It is still rather weak, only able to use Bubble Blow. Yet it doesn’t back down from any fight. This leads to it often getting deleted by stronger Digimon.
Bubble Blow- A harmless stream of bubbles
Tainimon: In-Training. Vaccine. A Digimon with a wild poof of hair on its head. In this way, you can tell it digivolved from Taicromon. It retains Taicromon’s reckless streak, but still only knows Bubble Blow, making it effectively useless in a fight. Nonetheless, it is fearless and loyal to its Tamer.
Bubble Blow- A harmless stream of bubbles
Taimon: Rookie. Vaccine. A Digimon with red training bracers on its feet. It has studied kicking techniques, inspired by the DigiDestined that gave it life. It also upgraded its fire skills. This manifests through the flame on the tip of its tail. However, if the flame goes out, Taimon’s life is in great danger. Also, it has an adventurous spirit, but can be reckless.
Petite Fire- Shoots a fire bullet from its mouth or tail.
Dragon Kick- Kicks a target with fiery feet
Taichimon: Champion. Vaccine. This Digimon wears training bracers on its wrists and around its feet.  Although it is not the most intelligent Digimon, it has a lot of heart and will not attack other Digimon who are noble in spirit (unless it’s a friendly sparring match). Its kicking attacks have also increased in power, and it can execute multiple such attacks at once (Roundhouse).
Mega Flame- Shoots a huge fireball from its mouth or tail.
Flaming Claw- A ferocious claw attack with fiery claws
Roundhouse- A series of fiery kicks
BlackTaimon: Rookie. Virus. This Digimon is a virus counterpart to the Vaccine-attribute Taimon. A black flame burns from its tail, warning of its future malevolent nature. In this stage, however, it is merely mischievous. It excels at kicking attacks, and it has the ability to shroud its feet in darkness to make the attack hurt even more (Dark Kick).
Shadow Fire- Shoots a black fire bullet from its mouth or tail.
Dark Kick- A kick with shadowy feet
BlackTaichimon: Champion. Virus. This Digimon evolved from BlackTaimon, and thus has increased kicking abilities. BlackTaichimon can use powerful dark kicks in addition to shadowy fire. Also, it is more violent than a normal Taichimon-type Digimon. The yellow stripes on its body glow briefly before it launches into full battle mode and tears the foe to ribbons with its shadowy claws (Shadow Slash).
Evil Flame- Shoots a huge black fireball from its mouth
Shadow Slash- Slices with sharp claws shrouded in darkness
Dark Kick- Shrouds its feet in darkness and kicks the foe

Okay, so Gabe evolved into Gabumon Bond of Friendship, but Algomon evolved into Devimon. I wasn't interested in DoneDevimon part 3, so I wanted to check if I could DNA Digivolve him with anything and I saw I had a Vritramon in storage.
The real issue comes from that I forgot what level Vritramon is (spirit evolution is wacky) and so DNA'd the Vritramon with the Devimon instead of the other way around and now I got another Aldamon ☠️
I've raised like 3 of those things already, so I'm now raising another Algomon from the open slot left by the DNA Digivolution in hopes of getting a Mega I didn't already raise twice already.

Digimon frontier prompt: Tommy playing with some Digimon children as Kumamon. The kids needed some time to have fun as Digimon without having to be fighting.
Playdate at the school
Why they were back at the school Izumi and Junpei had saved they couldn’t figure out, but back at it they were. Junpei and Izumi found Togemon and quickly fell into an excited discussion with her, with some of the kids she was taking care of joining in. Bokomon found a soft spot in the grass and sat down, pulled out his history book and read out loud to a few of the kids who wanted to listen. History wasn’t everyone’s big interest though. At least not Tomoki’s, and he saw a few of the kids roll their eyes and shuffle away to play instead. Tomoki followed them, and then Takuya showed up with a football he had found near the building. One minute later the group had split into two groups, Tomoki in one and Takuya in the other. Football. Kouji shook his head when he saw it and left, sat down at the back of the building were Neemon had already taken cover and fallen asleep.
Tomoki laughed where he was running after the ball. This was nice. Fun. Like a normal day, playing games with friends and enjoying the freedom after school. Even if the friends this time happened to be heads with tails bouncing on the ground.
...The digital world was weird when he stopped to think about it. So he didn’t.
The sky was free from clouds and the sun shone bright and hot over them. It traveled quickly across the sky, reaching noon way too soon in Tomoki’s opinion. Everyone was getting warm. He saw Izumi sit down in the shade, where Bokomon and their group of kids had already retreated to. He could hear her talk, maybe she was telling them stories from the human world. Junpei was sitting in the doorway, showing off his tricks to Upamon and Yaamon. Kouji and Neemon were probably still hiding behind the school.
Tomoki stopped running, put his hands against his knees and crouched. He was so hot. Absolutely melting. Sweat ran down the side of his face. Takuya stopped as well, dried the sweat of his forehead. Tomoki almost considered suggesting a short break. For lunch or something.
One of the kids, Kapurimon, tackled Takuya, took the ball from him. The other laughed, ran after him, and the game continued. But the heat from the sun was getting to them, they moved slower, missed more shots.
Wait. The heat. Tomoki stopped, looked towards the sun. He could do something about that! He was the warrior of ice! He grabbed his digivice.
”Wait, I’ll show you all something cool.”
Digicode appeared around his hand. He dragged his digivice over it, scanned the code.
”Spirit Evolution!”
Data pulled at his body, changed it. Made it rounder, softer, squishier. The world around him felt hotter, but he was cold, he was winter.
”Chackmon!”
The kids stared at him, eyes wide. Chackmon grinned, put his hands at his sides and stretched his back.
”Betcha never saw anything like that before, ey?” Chackmon asked.
Yaamon rolled their eyes.
”Tsunomon also evolved, you’re nothing special.”
Chackmon fell over. Brutally murdered by a baby. Junpei stopped in the middle of whatever trick he had been doing and looked around.
”Where is Tsunomon? I was hoping to see him.”
”He left”, Togemon said.
She stood up and started herding the kids towards the building again. Some of them snuck away when she looked at Junpei. Junpei’s shoulders fell.
”No one stays here for long after they’ve digivolved”, Togemon continued. ”The school’s too small for them.”
”Aww…”
Izumi looked up from Bokomon’s book, tilted her head. Bokomon grabbed the book and put it back in their haramaki.
”It makes sense”, Izumi said. ”Just like how we move to different schools when we age. Imagine being stuck in kindergarden until you’re 18 and need to get a job.”
Takuya kicked the football into one of the goals they had put up. It hit a tree and flew back into the playing field.
”When I’m 18 I’m already famous and living in Italy, playing football for the national team”, Takuya said.
Junpei turned towards him while putting the handkerchiefs back into his pockets.
”Why not Japan?” Junpei asked.
Chackmon sat up again, looked between them. This hadn’t quite gone to plan. He grabbed his snowball canon, looked at it instead. Upamon and Motimon bounced closer to him, probably wondering what it was. Takuya put a foot on the ball and grinned.
”Because Italy has the best football players in the world and I will be the best of them all.”
”You’re an idiot”, Kouji said.
Takuya whipped around, glared at Kouji, who had probably gotten attracted by the discussion.
”Why don’t you say that to my face?!”
”Fine.”
Kouji walked over and crossed his arms over his chest. The whole situation was so… normal.
”You’re an idiot”, Kouji said.
Chackmon pelted him with a snowball. The kids laughed around them and Chackmon fired another snowball on Kouji. Takuya laughed as well. Kouji shivered, turned around and glared at Chackmon instead. Chackmon jumped back onto his feet, snow fell around him. The air felt a lot cooler. Everyone laughed around him, and Chackmon felt envigorated. He fired a snowball at Takuya, hit his shoulder. Takuya laughed, grabbed some snow from the ground and threw a ball right back at Chackmon, almost hit his hat off.
The kids jumped in excitement. Kouji grabbed a handful of snow and shoved it straight down Takuya’s t-shirt. A shiver ran through Takuya’s body and Chackmon laughed. Got on his skiis, snowball gun in hand. He went circles around the group, fired at all of them. Snow spread as he moved. The kids scooped it up with their tails, tried to throw it back and hit Chackmon. But Chackmon was quick on his skiis and easily slalomed between the balls, fired back when he had a shot. Junpei and Izumi joined the snowball fight as well. Everyone against Chackmon.
Perhaps it was a bit unfair. They didn’t have much of a chance against the warrior of ice.
The kids gathered up a bunch of snowballs, threw them into the air. Nyaromon jumped after them, spun around in the air.
”Galactica magnum tail!” they yelled.
More balls than Chackmon could evade flew through the air. Knocked him off his skiis and buried him. He laughed.
”Victory!” the kids yelled around him.
They jumped in joy. Chackmon sat up, shook the snow off himself. He was ready for another round. Izumi laughed, then leaned down and started rolling a bigger snowball. Kouji dusted snow off himself and joined her. Nyaromon looked at them.
”What are we doing now?” they asked.
Izumi smiled.
”A snowmon”, she said.
Nyaromon tilted to the side, their tail raised slightly. Chackmon got up on his feet and stepped closer.
”What’s a snowmon?” Nyaromon asked.
Izumi looked towards the sky, thought for a few seconds. The kids bounced closer as well.
”It’s a digimon made from snow”, Izumi explain.
Chackmon grinned at that, posed infront of them. If anyone was a snowmon…
”You’ve got the perfect model here!” he said.
Junpei shoved him over with a laugh. The snow was soft under him. Winter was the best time of year, no argument. He watched as Junpei leaned down to make his own big snowball to help Izumi.
Hands grabbed Chackmon from behind, lifted him into the air. He twisted, tried to break free. The hands were warm.
”I’ll make a perfect snowmon of you, little brother”, Takuya said.
”I’ll turn you into a snowmon”, Chakmon laughed.
He grabbed his snowgun again and buried Takuya in snowballs. Takuya was stuck, couldn’t move even an inch. Chackmon laughed. The kids saw it and started piling even more snow on Takuya, shaped him into a big snowball. Gave him a tail and ears. This was great, Chackmon thought, they should have a snowday together when they got back to the human world again.
Kouji stretched, returned to the tree where Neemon was still sleeping and sat down under it again. Too cool for winter, probably. A couple of the kids joined Kouji and Neemon, fell asleep right next to them. How were they already tired?
Takuya got free from the snowpile, tackled Chackmon. Chackmon grabbed a handfull of snow and pressed into Takuya’s face and Takuya answered by shoving him, throwing snowballs as he went. Chackmon curled up, launched himself towards Takuya. Crashed into him and then they crashed right through the snowmon Izumi and Junpei had done. Izumi grabbed Takuya and shoved a handfull of snow under his shirt. Takuya shivered violently.
”What was that for?!” he yelled.
Izumi glared, her eyes hard and angry. She put her hands to her sides. Chackmon almost felt scared, despite Izumi only being a fragile human at the moment.
”We work hard on that!”
Takuya crossed his arms over his chest and turned his back to her. How he dared Chackmon couldn’t tell.
”It will melt the moment Tomoki returns to normal anyway”, Takuya said.
He had a tone of voice that made even Chackmon feel annoyed and overlooked. Izumi grabbed Takuya’s shirt, stuffed another handfull of snow into it before stomping away. Junpei and another couple of kids followed. Motimon and Wanyamon stayed behind, but were starting to look tired as well. Takuya rolled his eyes, then stalked away toward Kouji while Chackmon looked at the pile left after the snowmon. It would melt, but it had meant a lot to Izumi. He gathered the snow up, started pressing it together. Maybe he could rebuild it for her. Wanyamon and Motimon joined him and he wondered if they knew just what a useless task it actually was.
Despite the uselessness of it he wished every digiworld day could be like this. No fighting, just playing in the snow with friends. The sun shining. Laughter filling the air.
”We never see snow here”, Motimon said as they worked. ”Togemon says it only falls in the north.”
”Yeah”, Chackmon said.
He looked at the sky for a second, remembered when he met Nanomon, the snowy area around the city. The big furnace keeping it warm. Went back to forming the snow.
”They never see the sun instead”, he said with a laugh. ”At home, in the human world, we get both.”
He’d never complain about the different seasons again.
”We get rain”, Wanyamon said. ”Togemon told us the humas saved the school from a huge flood a while back.”
”That was Izumi and Junpei!”
They had mentioned it when they all met up again afterwards, although the flood had seemed like a sidenote. Bokomon had been so proud about being a teacher it had overshadowed everything else. Chackmon put the finishing touches on the snowmon and waved to Izumi.
”They’re great, they’ve protected me a lot during our time here.”
Izumi lit up when she saw the restored snowmon. Chackmon clapped his hands in excitement.
”Are you guys gonna save the world?” Wanyamon asked.
They curled their tail around themself, ears drooped slightly. Chackmon didn’t like it, everyone should be happy and hopefull. They had to do something about Cherubimon, had to free this world from his tyranny.
”Of course!” Chackmon said. ”Takuya is really strong, he can defeat anyone who wants to destroy this place. We’re all doing the best we can!”
Motimon laughed. Wanyamon looked slightly less worried. Good. Everything was good. Chackmon smiled, his spirit returning to the digivice. The snow melted around him, water gathered in pools in the grass, was absorbed into the ground. The sun shone less hot now. Tomoki’s stomach rumbled and he laughed, scratched the back of his head. It was way past lunchtime.
Togemon’s came out from the school building. She carried a big pot in her hands. Motimon and Wanyamon hurried away towards her and Tomoki went to Takuya.
”Lunchtime!” Togemon called.
The digimons that had fallen asleep around Kouji woke up and bounced away. Tomoki looked at Takuya.
”Are we staying?”
”It’s probably time for us to keep moving”, Takuya said and put his hands behind his head. ”This world won’t save itself.”
”Yeah…”
Tomoki looked at Togemon. At the kids. Junpei, Izumi and Bokomon waved goodbye and came up to the rest of them. Tomoki smiled. They’d save this world, for the kids. So they could keep playing in the grass without any worries.
”Come on!” he said. Smiled. ”Let’s go defeat Cherubimon!”

Digimon Frontier - Episode 6
This episode was actually great! Plenty of plot development, lore, and a creative setting. I was thoroughly entertained. Also, the ShellNumemon were kinda cute. They reminded me of Gary from Spongebob haha.
Notes:
Between this episode and the episode where Tomoki tries to escape across the chasm, this season has a lot of "fear of heights" moments. This one genuinely made me feel tense with all the scary shots of big drops. Also, the fact that they had to go on an intense, looped roller coaster with literally nothing holding them down is pretty wild.
I know this is a different continuity from Tamers, but they just confirmed that digimon have genders in this universe. The ShellNumemon say "they took all of our women hostage!" So much for nonbinary mons! Oh well.
They've mostly been showing single species villages but in the opening scene they were in a multi-species area. Wonder how that works. Maybe it's like the city vs. the suburbs? lol
They never revealed what DigiWorld money looks like...I wanna know now
The scenes with the upside down/sideways architecture were so fun. It was especially funny when they couldn't use the guest beds prepared for them because they were on the wall
I feel like Koji just digivolved separately from everyone else because they didn't want to do a 5 character split screen lol
Having a flying spirit digivolution form suddenly became OP in this episode (due to the setting). I'd like to see other creative uses of the setting in future episodes.
Izumi calling Koji's "macho act" out was satisfying
So...the other warriors are not only not human (are they digimon then?) but they're antagonists too!? I didn't see that one coming. Grottomon kinda looked like a gnome or something. I guess the new arc will just be a new warrior every episode? Let's find out...
Cherubimon got brought up again. The evil warriors are working for him. So I guess it will be 5 vs. 5 warriors?
They introduced "slide evolution" in this episode...I have no idea what that means, but okay. (The only hint of what it was is that Grottomon was able to slip in and out of it really quickly)

Grove Digimon Partner: Westley+Willow
Hi we are joining our headmates in picking out a digimon partner/line that represents us. We decided to go with a split Digivolution line that we thought would be fun. Especially since there are two of us. Westley+Willow is made up of well Westley and WIllow. Westley is a ghost boy and WIllow is a skeleton girl. So this should be easy yeah? Just pick some undead/spooky digimon and call it a day? WRONG We love Birds, so we decided to go with a bird/bird related creature theme. We also decided to play with a theme that we thought would be fun, a more bestial side and a more humanoid side of things. We also play around with some digimon who have awkward stages, ones that in their first appearance(animated at least) existed outside of the Traditional Rookie/Child> Champion/Adult> ultimate/perfect> mega/ultimate line of things and tried to fit them into a place that made sense. So lets start things off with Rookie/Child- Hyokomon
Tumblr media
There are quite a few bird starter digimon that we like but we ultimately decided to end up with this cutie for a few reasons. The first being that we love chickens and this guy is just a excited little chicken friend. The second one is the Egg surrounding the body up a nice solid white "armor" if you will, which will be nice to help set up both "champion" stages especially since they are both armor evolutions which, armor evolutions when they first appeared made use of Digimantles or Digi-Eggs. Plus its just so cute. Any Way lets start off with the more Humanoid Evolutions shall we...
First Digivolution path: Champion/Adult- Harpymon
Tumblr media
Harpymon is an Armor Digimon who tends to be accessed by a Child/Rooking Digimon(usually Hawkmon but digivolution in general is weird.) using the Digi-egg of light. We obviously had to have Harpymon on our list because heck our url is Harpyboytits of course it made sense. Not to mention it offers some visual cohesion from from Hyokomon, the white hearkens back to the Egg Hyokomon wears while the red is similar to Hyokomons Orange and the Gold assimilate to it's yellow. It also offers up some nice contrast to the other champion idea we had. But first Harpymon DIgivolves to
Ultimate/Perfect- Shutumon/Zephyrmon
Tumblr media
It is a bit Ironic that I am making Shutumon the ultimate for the *humanoid* evolution line since it was the *beast* spirit of Wind in its original Appearance. But this sleek wind warrior seemed like a very nice pic for an in between stage between the champion and mega stage. I don't have much to say except I really like the design. I guess I can add that the wing/ears are super cool imo. Mega/Ultimate- Valkyrimon
Tumblr media
I had a hard time picking between Valkyrimon and Ancientirismon but ultimately Valkyrimon ultimately felt like it was more cohesive with the line as a whole. The fact that it brings back a bladed weapon makes me feel like i can see this as some sort of Warp or biomerge evolution since those tend to incorporate elements even from the rookie stage. But it also had the white red and gold of Harpymon and ear-wings similar to Shutumon( although valkyrimons are a bit smaller) Alright time for the second potential branching path. Champion/Adult-
Tumblr media
Nefertimon is also a digimon that tends to digivolve from the Digimantle of light( usually Gatomon using it to digivolve), you can even see some of the cat-like elements from Gatomon in this design.(which will actually be relevant later) That being said there are elements that could connect to Hyoko, obviously there is the winged element, but the Yellow, red, and white colors hearken back to both Harpymon and Hyokomon.
Ultimate/Perfect- Hipogriffmon
Tumblr media
Hippogriffmon moves further away from Hyoko in terms of color scheme, with a primarily white and purple which it keeps from Nefertimon. It also regains some of the bird elements from the lines as a whole. It seems very stoic in nature imo. We always have been a big fan of Hippogriffs and Griffins... speaking of....
Mega/Ultimate- Griffomon
Tumblr media
Griffomon feels like an appropriate end for this bird related four legged creature line. While it is the most visually distinct it keeps the yellow/gold motif and the massive front claws the two previous stages had. Amusingly this Griffin digimon has some elements from another mythological creature, specifically the Chimera which is often depicted with a snake like tail. But of course Chimeramon is a completely different terrifying digimon.
And there you have it Westley+Willows digimon partner. :3

A tamer trying there best to not get there Skullgreymon so violent and evil
A Tamer trying to help their SkullGreymon not be so violent
It isn't really SkullGreymon's fault. When a Digimon first Digivolves into a SkullGreymon, they're filled with the need for destruction as their fighting spirit turns into a general danger as they want to damage everything around them and fight anything around them. It only calms down after being in this form for some time as it learns to control itself.
It's a bit of awaiting game compared to actively helping their SkullGreymon. So.. they might need to try and lead SkullGreymon away from any homes or others so they don't get hurt while they have SkullGreymon work out his own issues as he goes a bit berserk on an empty field.
It takes a bit of time, but SkullGreymon does calm down some, but he still has a bit of a feral side to him. It's always best to approach a SkullGreymon with caution, even when one is its Tamer. If they can help him somehow find himself again, speaking to that old part of them as SkullGreymon is in a calm state, they might be able to get to him.
SkullGreymon doesn't exactly wish to be evil and such, but he can't control himself when his fighting spirit is twisted by the dark case of his evolution. His Tamer just needs to take their time, and try to help him out of it the best they can, and be patient with him.
SkullGreymon does eventually come around, but it takes time for such things to actually happen. So long as the Tamer stays a bit out of the way as he damages other things and manages to keep him from civilization, so he doesn't hurt anyone, then soon SkullGreymon might come back from his feral mind.
It just takes time, patience, and trying to appeal to that hidden voice in him that was his previous form before he Digvolved into SkullGreymon.

How do you think Digimon Frontier might have gone if the Spirits of Steel, Wood, and Earth had been bequeathed to Ophanimon, the Spirits of Darkness and Water had been bequeathed to Seraphimon, the Spirits of Flame, Light, Ice, Wind, and Thunder had been bequeathed to Cherubimon, and the protagonists had been Katsuharu, Teppei, Chiaki, Teruo, and Koichi (with Kouji joining later)?
first off thanks for the ask!!
I put a lot of thought into this, because i can’t just half-bake an answer for something digimon frontier-related >w<
however, I’ll mainly just talk about their group dynamics and interpersonal relations, rather than trying to piece out the whole puzzle of where in the digital world they arrive, where they go to collect their spirits and who they fight along the way, what their digimon forms exactly are (I can’t see Sephirothmon being very useful in a fight purely because of its massive size and weird gimmick, not to mention it’s the least humanoid of all the Spirits- imagine what being THAT thing feels like..), or how a Spirit of Light could be corrupted with darkness if Kouji ends up following Koichi’s arc and being some sort of Light Duskmon. Mostly because if I tried to define all of that, I’d basically be writing the series over again, and I don’t have that much dedication.
also, I’m leaving a read more, because this gets long (as my discussion posts tend to do)
First I’ll talk about the new team of Warriors, because I just refreshed myself on Katsuharu, Teppei, Chiaki, and Teruo (and I was able to watch the original Japanese for it, rather than the censored/altered dub! hooray!).
Katsuharu would fill the leadership role, as he does in canon already - he’s decisive and makes up his mind quickly, and has a pragmatic mind for risks. This can lead him to hesitate in the face of a huge risk - such as, him freezing and failing to risk himself to try to save Teppei when the Centarumon were chasing them both (ep40). Some of that can be attributed to none of those four personally being in a battle before, since they all had Angemon fighting for them, but given Takuya followed Tomoki out onto the freefloating tracks in ep1 to bring him back instead of shouting like everyone else, before being able to Digivolve, it’s safe to say Katsuharu doesn’t have that much guts, and isn’t particularly courageous. Katsuharu is also the main one asking questions and trying to figure out what happened in Beanstalk Village (ep41), and though he starts out as a bully who enjoys belitting others, he grows a lot in the Digital World. When Teppei starts messing with Tomoki again, Katsuharu stops him, saying ‘they came here so they didn’t have to do stupid things like that anymore’ (to paraphrase). I think, given the opportunity to Digivolve and become a Digimon, and be on equal footing with other Digimon they face, Katsuharu would do incredibly well as a leader, especially since he already knows one of the kids in his group, unlike the canon group who didn’t know any of the others.
Unfortunately, Katsuharu is the only member of the group given so many lines and so much character. Teppei is shown to lash out when he feels threatened and hates being seen as weak or useless (when the Warriors appear and tell him to get lost because he can’t do anything to help, he refuses to believe anything they’ve said, even when they mention the loss of land he’s witnessed recently to back their story up), even though he’s still somewhat young and doesn’t have too much real confidence or conviction of his own. He cheers on Angemon for being such a cool hero, but isn’t that cool hero himself (and he seems to warm up to Tomoki specifically after Tomoki saved him from the Centarumon and Digivolved into Blizzarmon, being awed at both), and would definitely benefit from having enough power to defend himself, so long as he learns to wield it responsibly.
Chiaki is pretty simple; though she does laugh at Teppei’s jabs towards the Warriors when they first met, she seems friendly enough towards them when she, Teruo, Junpei, and Izumi are out harvesting. She mentions her observations on Katsuharu and Teppei when they first met, saying they ‘had some repressed anger’, which also implies they mellowed after a while, and also showing that despite that anger, it didn’t fracture the group or cause any grudges. She also mentions the fact that all of them decided to stay in the Digital World because they preferred it to the real one, and that what appeals to her in the Digital World is everything is fantastical. From that, I think she’s the thoughtful one out of the bunch, and most likely to look at people and try to pick apart what makes them tick. She also clearly has her own motivations and desires, even if they aren’t stated or shown.
Then there’s Teruo, who’s least talkative out of the bunch. He’s not averse to talking, but doesn’t have many comments during his appearances. He says he prefers the Digital World because it’s interesting to be with Digimon, unlike doing schoolwork or taking tests (though, he’s only seen a small portion of the Digital World, and was protected by Angemon that entire time, so who’s to say if he’d have the same attitude if he went through as much trouble as the Warriors, or if he’d want to turn tail). One tidbit is that when Teppei makes fun of the Warriors for saying they’re here to save the Digital World, Teruo points out they can’t do much, being humans with no strong Digimon at their side to defend them, and it doesn’t seem to be entirely a jeer, he’s trying to reason with them too.
Looking at their personalities is a big part of measuring them as protagonists, because they’re always given the choice to just leave, if they find a way out of the Digital World. If they’re the sort of person to give up halfway through and leave the Digital World, that changes things, and could possibly lead to the rest of the group failing. I mean, unless you instead look at it as ‘what if Katsuharu and his group were written as the protagonists’ rather than ‘what if they, as they are, were the protagonists’ as I did, in which case we’d just have Takuya with some Kouji in him, actual Kouji and Koichi, and three different extras, and they’d be written to save the Digital World anyway. I find it more interesting to see if the versions of them we see in canon could stick with it and save the world if given the same abilities.
I think they absolutely could, though! Whether they end up finding Angemon to be their mentor and encourage them to continue fighting themselves and grow in strength, or instead find Bokomon and Neemon and have to fend for themselves in battles, as long as they have the power to fight as a Digimon, I don’t see any of them dipping out. Teppei follows Katsuharu, and Katsuharu might waver, but Kouji wouldn’t (once he’s on their side), and neither would Koichi, who’s dedicated to find his brother (while not knowing he HAS found him when corrupted!Kouji shows up), so Katsuharu wouldn’t leave them to fend for themselves, he’s too compassionate. Rather than a Takuya to inspire them along, they continue together because Koichi isn’t stopping and someone needs to make sure he doesn’t die.
Primary friendships in the group would be; Katsuharu and Teppei, with Teppei trailing behind Katsuharu and only really confident if he has someone to follow or give him direction, but incredibly confident if he does have that; Chiaki and Teruo, both being curious about the Digital World and being exploring buddies to see more of it, and acting somewhat like siblings with Chiaki being the ‘older sister’; and Koichi gets along with everyone but is pretty shy about joining conversations or integrating, and too worried while Kouji is corrupted to properly let loose and have fun with the others. I think eventually Katsuharu or Chiaki would notice that and try to get his mind off Kouji, with Katsuharu enforcing breaks when they reach a new town to meet the locals, rest up, and have fun at local attractions, and Chiaki asking Koichi to join her and Teruo on ventures to he doesn’t sit at camp and feels like he’s looking for Kouji when there are no signs of him elsewhere.
Once they find Kouji and figure out he’s the crazy powerful Corrupted Warrior hounding them, Koichi does his best to convince Kouji of his story. It doesn’t end up working for a while, until Koichi manages to give details on their shared dad and a very specific family ritual both twins grew up with, and that begins to awaken Kouji’s memories. It goes about the same as with Duskmon, except Kouji wasn’t aware of his twin beforehand. After he’s purified, he’s ashamed of the actions he took while corrupted, and uses that shame as motivation to push himself way too far to protect and defend the group instead, and he has to learn to let the others support him too. He starts out cold and only really warming up to Koichi, learning what his secret twin is like, but will slowly begin to give his input in group discussions, and then in regular conversation.
And now their powersets! Most of the Spirits (Earth, Wood, Water, and of course Darkness) follow a similar design standard as the canon human-used Spirits, having a consistent Human Spirit. Steel is the obvious exception, and the only way I can see a human using that Beast Spirit is if it’s in a different form (although Sephirothmon could still be useful for its mirroring ability). Friendly fire is also at a minimum, with the possible exception of Earth, but since Junpei’s lightning never strikes out at his friends, I’ll say Earth isn’t that likely to either. They are lacking in fliers, since I don’t think any of the corrupted Digimon could fly in Human Spirit form, and only Calamaramon, Velgrmon, and Sephirothmon can, which does put them at a disadvantage against the new set of Corrupted Warriors unless they can learn to control the terrain.
And speaking of those guys… time to cover them!!! This is the fun part because I get to make stuff up.
Corrupted Agnimon/Vritramon reads as a hothead - he’s prideful in his own abilities and charges into a fight without asking if he can win it. He’ll accept help, rather than reject it to probe his strength, but prefers to be considered the MVP/‘star player’. As Agnimon, he shows a lot of personality through taunts and banter, but once he gets his Beast Spirit, Vritramon is a berserker; jarringly silent except to roar and call out attacks, going on full offensive, and impossible to scare off. Vritramon won’t turn back into Agnimon unless he exhausts himself.
Corrupted Chackmon/Blizzarmon is stoic and stern-faced, unlike his cutesy, playful appearance. He’ll follow orders to the letter, which also means the group can sometimes take advantage of his adherence to the letter of the law and convince him to leave or lighten up on technicalities, and that he won’t take action if a situation isn’t covered in his orders. In contrast, Blizzarmon is quite ambitious and passionate, even though he has the same strategic mind, and both consider themselves an elite warrior - not as a point of pride, but considering it a fact, and disregarding anyone’s attempts to discredit that.
Corrupted Blitzmon/Bolgmon is a big troll. …That’s what it says in Blitzmon’s description, at least. I can see him accidentally sounding sarcastic when he doesn’t mean to, or sounding genuine when he means to be sarcastic, so you can never tell which he means except by his actions. Interestingly, his fighting style differs greatly between Human and Beast form, with Blitzmon having an ability to lower gravity for himself and move with great agility and power, whereas Bolgmon is incredibly slow, trading mobility for defense.
Corrupted Fairimon/Shutumon reads as an innocent face with a hidden thirst for mischief. Fairimon is stated to be a ‘gossipy, talkative troublemaker’ but ‘because it has no ill will for the person’ she isn’t hated and still considered innocent. Rather than having insecurities about her beauty like Ranamon, Fairimon is sure of her own merit and worth, and isn’t outright bothered if someone else tries to insult her, but she’ll still fire back by trying to embarrass them, or get their friends to turn on them. Becoming Shutumon only encourages this behavior, and she’ll even start to indirectly cause fights among the other Corrupted Warriors just because it’s fun.
Corrupted Kouji (Digimon names unknown), if it is possible for him to be corrupted with darkness, would likely change animal inspiration from wolves to something more associated with decay and death - akin to the vulture motifs in Velgrmon, I can see Corrupted Kouji taking inspiration from a quadrupedal scavenger, the hyena. Since the same process is applied to Kouji as was to Koichi, Corrupted Kouji would have the same personality as Duskmon, being vicious and merciless, without compassion for his allies. So, almost the same as canon Kouji! /j
Since Vritramon is based on a fire dragon that’s the nemesis of a thunder dragon, it’d be fun if Agnimon and Blitzmon had a rivalry, where they keep misinterpreting what the other says and assuming it’s an insult. Even mid-battle, they’ll stop to bicker with each other, or confusedly reiterate what they meant, only to make the other even angrier. Fairimon/Shutumon is awful about this, because Agnimon or Blitzmon will approach her for advice in interpreting what the other said because she’s in tune with people, and she will intentionally tell them it meant something worse than it did.
It’s important for the Corrupted Warriors to be a little bit dysfunctional so the regular Warriors can get a leg up and actually beat them. It’s also incredibly funny.
Anyways, I’m not sure if this is exactly what you were asking about, anon, but this is what I made of your question! If you want to clarify your question and get my thoughts on something else, you can send that in, too.

Many people think humans turning into digimon is weird so that’s why a ton of people are kinda harsh to Frontier...
... But Frontier just fulfilled my accidental vision of Taichi and Yamato evolving into WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon when i was a kid.
Like, this dumbass here was watching that said scene of the prophecy and the arrows hitting them... And since they glow on-screen i thought:
"WOW, TAI AND MATT JUST DIGIVOLVED!! AMAZING!!"
As i said, i was wrong but let me say that Frontier doing this exact thing with a brand new set of characters and in a new setting was the reason i found Frontier so cool.
Now DigiCa (Digimon Card Game, the new TCG) allow any Frontier Spirit Digimon to evolve any Tamer card of their respective color.
So seeing Daisuke evolving into Wolfmon (one of my faves) is incredibly cool ok??
