I love your Witch koko art because for once Koko gets to be the evil one.

I mean her being the cause for movie Garmadon’s gaining of four arms and just Oni appearance would be funny in a dark way.

I love the idea of Koko being responsible of Garmadon gaining his monstruous appearance! I'm getting total Beauty and the Beast vibes here! When the sorceress changed the prince's apperance to a beast. And yess, in a way he would end up bound to her, because now Garm has to do her bidding in hopes that she will change him back!

And OH GOSH Koko's familiar being a serpent?!?! 😱 That is genius! Now i need to draw that!

He doesn't quite come to that realization yet

We know Garm can wield 4 swords at the same time, but does that extend into other things? Like can he write with more than one hand? Is he ambidextrous?

Ooh! I never thought about writing specifically. I imagine he can do various things using his 4 hands at once, like cooking and cleaning stuff. But since writing requires a lot more concentration i wonder if he can write different things with each hand or that's too much. Not sure about that, but i would be interesting. I would think that maybe he can write different things using both hands on one side (you know how each of us have a dominant brain hemisphere). So both arms on the same side would be controlled by the same brain hemisphere. Although considering his brain already probably has a lot of neural connections to be able to work with 4 arms, i wouldn't be surprised if he's a bit ambidextrous after all. 😆 Interesting ask. Is fun to think about Garmadon's biology, lol

I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply to this ask, sooorry! But i didn't forget!

Btw if you search the tag "#garmakoko headcanons" on my blog you will see several things tagged as headcanons. And there are my two main posts about Garmakoko headcanons that i have done in the past, you have find them here and here.

Ok let me see if i can think of any new ones... 🤔

☆ Garmadon's favorite food is sushi, so when he and Koko go on a dinner date, most likely it will be going to a sushi place. He likes to try different ones but his favorite is Omakase at the Ninjago downtown.

☆ Speaking of Omakase, that was the place they went to for their first "dinner date" after moving to Ninjago and that's why it holds such a special place for Garmadon. They were living a rough battlefield life previously, so finally being able to enjoy the luxuries of the city life together was indeed quite a nice change.

☆ Shortly after they had Lloyd, they decided to give it a try at a "normal" life, since Koko kept insisting she didn't want to raise their son in the ways of being a warlord. So they moved to Ninjago and they got an office job together. Unfortunately for Garmadon, it was really boring and didn't take long for him to go back to his warlording ways. This was when Koko and Garm split for good. (I know that we don't know for sure if the flashback scene with the office really happened in canon or not, it seems to be more of an "imagine" or "what it could have been" scenario... but i like to think it did happen, i mean it's too adorable).

☆ Koko always brings Garmadon with her for grocery shopping. He has four arms, so he carries all the bags for her. The downside to this is that every 5 minutes Garmadon sees something he wants to buy. She basically has to avoid the bakery section altogether xD

☆ Garmadon likes to wear his armor for everything (force of habit) but Koko insists that he should revamp his wardrobe and dress more casual/modern.

*Koko showing him the website of some fancy clothes stores* "How about this one? You would you soo handsome!"

"That!? It's way too casual... plus they don't have my size... of the correct number of arms!".

☆ He usually has clothes made to order (cause well, four arms), so Koko totally takes over that department and makes sure to custom order a lot of fancy clothes inspired on what's trendy these days on the famous brands, much to Garm's dismay (he's sort of old fashioned).

☆ And speaking of dressing up and stuff, Garm usually carries various blades and weapons on him when he's out and about, so Koko has to stop him.

"Garmadon we are just going to the grocery store, you don't need to bring your katanas with you...".

"What if someone tries to attack us?!".

"Very unlikely".

"Ok fine.... but seriously, not even this one?" *he shows her a small dragger he just took out from a leg pouch*. 🗡

"No Garm..."

☆ After they get back together, Garm spends some time living with Koko and Lloyd at their apartment but everything is so small and suited to their lives that he feels sort of like an intruder. He insists Koko and Lloyd come to live with him at the volcano (Lloyd loves this idea) but Koko is not sure, cause that feels borderline villanous. He insists they won't be doing anything "bad" nor there will be any villanous influences for Lloyd. When Koko finally agrees to spend a week at the volcano lair, she's mesmerized by how big and luxurious everything is (Garm has like, his own beach and everything, a huge kitchen and lots of roons with various equipment, a spa, etc etc) and she feels like she's at a resort. She agrees to come visit more often,  but she and Lloyd don't permanently move to the volcano lair and they decide to keep it as a "vacation" place of sorts. After some time together, they decide to sell Koko's apartment and they buy a house together :3

☆ Koko loves Garm's hugs cause he's so warm. Being part Oni and Dragon, his body temperature is considerably higher than that of a human being, so he's always warm. This is particularly convenient during the cold winter months.

☆ Garm's sharks are tame around Koko cause they can sense Garm shares a strong connection with her and trusts her, therefore the sharks trust her as well.

☆ Garmadon is a big fan of the outdoors and enjoys activities like camping, fishing, hiking. He's also very well versed in survival tactics, considering all his years in the battlefield. So sure enough Garm, Koko and Lloyd go on a big camping trip together to make up for all that lost family time in the past and they have the best time of their lives. Garm teaches Lloyd all his fishing and camping secrets, they all roast some marshmallows by the fire, end up every night laying down on a blanket and stargazing. (Also, Garm is King of the Grill, that goes without saying).

☆ After Garm and Koko get back together, he takes a liking to cooking dinner for her and goes out of his way to make sure his cooking is perfectly timed for when she gets back from work, so the food will be ready and hot for a yummy dinner after a long day at work.

☆ And after dinner they unwind and chill together and Garmadon gives Koko a nice, relaxing massage, which she absolutely enjoys cause i mean, Garm is very good at massages. He has four hands! XD

☆  Koko cuts Garmadon's hair! (Just as she cuts Lloyd's hair). His hair grows pretty fast so she always has to be checking on him. Prior to that he would just have someone from his Shark Army cut his hair for him, but they were not very good at it xD

☆  Garmadon often talks in his sleep. Sometimes he says silly things but usually he call out Koko's name and mumbles things about her. ("Koko? Yes... that's my wife... yess, she's good.  My wife... ya, da best. I know... right? Wait.. Kokes? I'll do as you say... please don't be mad").  Sometimes he inadvertently snuggles her and tries to give her a kiss. Sometimes she is awoken from this and groggily tells Garm to go back to sleep while in a state of half consciousness herself.  She doesn't break the embrace though. :3

☆ They like to go out to the park and have a nice, peaceful stroll together. They get some ice cream or dango to eat while they walk. 🍦🍡Garm loves to take pictures of Koko with his cellphone and is always hunting for the perfect picture spot.

☆  Speaking of cellphones, the password to unlock his cellphone is "Misako". (This is actually not just a headcanon but it is considered to be canon as this appeared on official Ninjago Movie merchandise).

☆ Garmadon's lockscreen on his cellphone is a picture of Koko smiling.

☆ And Koko has a picture of baby Lloyd being held in Garmadon's arms as her lockscreen. (This is also another piece of info that can be considered canon according to this video).

☆  Whenever she's not around, Garmadon will longingly look at Koko pictures on his cellphone and miss her a lot. He likes being all dramatic about it.

"Koko I have missed you so much, i've been staring at pictures of you all day".

"Garm you last saw me this morning when i left for work... it's only been like 8 hours".

"That's too much!!".

☆ When they were first dating, Garmadon got Koko a beautiful gold necklace with an emerald shaped like a heart (cue in some super cheesyness along the lines of "i got you an emerald because you have beautiful green eyes, like emeralds... but of course this rock could never even compare to how beautiful your eyes are". Koko, while blushing: "oh Garm..."). Even after they split Koko kept it and when they got back together and she starting wearing her emerald necklace again he was so touched that she kept it after all these years. 🥺

Well i guess that's all for now. I guess this 3rd round of headcanons were more focused on their domestic life :3 I love them so so much and they deserve all the happiness in the world! GarmaKoko forever! ⚔

Okay, headcanons (part 1)

Garm can purr, and it's very soothing, especially to people with Oni blood. He used to pick Lloyd up and purr when Lloyd was a baby to calm him down. (I actually didn't get all of this myself, I think I stole this from Citron0 on ao3, so the credit goes to them, not me!)

Garmadon and Koko stayed in contact after they split, even if it was rare for them to talk to each other (this might be canon, since Garm has Koko's phone number :D)

Koko doesn't have any contact with her family, mainly because her father was a pretty bad person. He arranged a marriage between her and some other dude, but she left to become Lady Iron Dragon instead.

Said dude she was arranged to marry (let's call him Edward) has met/bothered her and Garm when they were together. Edward wants her to come back to his village and marry him. Needless to say, Garmadon doesn't like him very much.

Garm has a lot of cat-like tendancies. He will chase lasers and get high on catnip. Koko has been woken up in the middle of the night because her giant Oni boyfriend/husband decided he NEEDED to zoom around the house as fast as he possibly can at 3 in the morning.

Koko was the former leader of the Vermillion Warriors! (based off of the scene where she and Garm first meet, although she was probably fighting everyone on the battlefield, not just Garm and the Skulkins.)

Aaaaaand finally, Garmadon has conquered pretty much all of the villages outside of Ninjago City. Once the city falls, he's the emperor of all Ninjago. (However, Koko is the only one who is allowed to call him Emperor.)

Yess i love purring Garm! So adorbs! And yess i have thought that too, of Garm being able to suprisingly calm down baby Lloyd by just holding him in his arms. Seems like a pretty popular headcanon. All of us GarmaFam minds think alike 😌💕

Yup! Totally agree that Garm and Koko retained some degree of contact after they split. I mean the fact that Garm has Koko's number and even said on the movie "hold on, let me call your mother" is pretty telling (btw that part in the movie always kills me with feels 😭).

Oohh i also have headcanons of Koko's family being pretty awful. I imagine she got into fighting and wars at a pretty young age (poor girl). I actually headcanon her dad not being that bad, but that he passed away unexpectedly (or almost suspiciously) and he was the leader of their village so all those commanding responsabilities fell upon Koko at an early age. However i do headcanon that Koko's uncle was the bad one and he tried to interfere to keep the leadership to himself. He basically turned the whole village against Koko (he blamed her of something that wasn't true, not sure yet of exactly what) and then when Koko started getting tangled with Lord Garmadon... well, her uncle used that to foster even further distrust between Koko and her clan. Something along those lines! (I haven't really fully fleshed out my Garmakoko origin story but i have some general ideas) 😆

Omgg yess Garm having cat tendencies. I live for that. I have also always imagined him with a lot of animal-like behaviours! I guess his monster side gets the best of him sometimes.

I remember back in the day discussing headcanons with my good friend @ishroux and we would say that Garm totally has a name kink (i mean he's all like "what's my naaame?!) So he likes it when Koko is all formal addressing him and calls him "My Lord". 😈😈😈 Yessss! Good stuff, good stuff. Oh my god! XD

Headcanons (part 2!)

Garmadon is actually going pretty easy on the city. For one thing, he's the Elemental Master of Destruction and has powers. For another, he has his Skulkin army, who are a lot more merciless than his Shark army. He doesn't attack the city with full strength because 1) Koko and Lloyd could get hurt if the attack is widespread enough and 2) because he knows the Ninja Force is made up of kids, and he might be evil, but he's not going to murder Actual Children just to get what he wants.

Wu gets a serious talking to from Koko after the events of the movie. She is not pleased in the slightest that Wu sent kids to fight Garmadon.

Koko is ridiculously good at sneaking up on her enemies. Like Lloyd, she likes to be informed before she plunges into battle. She wants to know the enemies' strengths and weaknesses, what their usual battle tactic is, etc.

Garm is very different. He does the best when kept on his toes, and can make split second decisions when he's fighting. He usually charges into missions blind, and works with what he's given.

Garm and Koko are both pretty ticklish. Garmadon is more so out of the two, and Koko has absolutely made him beg for mercy more than once. He's also the kind of person who gets weak and can't fight back when he's being tickled. Koko, on the other hand, will accidentally kick you in the face. Lloyd got his dad's ticklishness, but his mom's ability to fight back. Koko prefers to sneak up on her prey and pounce on them. It works the best on Garm because once she starts tickling him, he can't really do anything except take it. However, she needs to be careful once she lets him go, because if he isn't tired, he will retaliate. And, like you said before, you don't wanna mess with someone who has four arms.

Oohh yes. Definitely agree with this one, Garmadon doesn't unleash his full destructive potential on Ninjago City. It's always curious how Lloyd and Koko's neighborhood doesn't seem to sustain that much damage during the attacks... coincidence? I think not! XD Plus yeah, i don't think Garmadon actually wants to kill the Ninja, he just wants to defeat them for once and disable their team. His perfect idea of defeat would probably be to capture them all and force them to watch boring history documentaries while only feeding them vegetables or something like that xD and yes he wouldn't want to completely destroy the city, otherwise there's nothing left to actually conquer!

Omg i bet Koko would be furious at Wu once she discovers all the dangers Lloyd and the Ninja have had to face because of him xD

Ohhh nice thoughts about Garm and Koko's battle styles. ⚔ I can definitely see her being the more calculating one whereas Garm sort of relies more on brute force, but he's highly adaptable so he can make split-second decisions! I think their battle styles complement each other pretty well! No wonder they are such a good team 😭

Aaaaaa Garm being the more ticklish of the two! Yesss! I approve 🤭 Koko attacks with no mercy 🤣 omg but if Garm is so susceptible to Koko's tickling, doesn't that mean at some point he's laughing so much he starts tearing up? And omg fiery tears everywhere and the dangers of setting everything ablaze! 🔥 I guess that's when Koko knows she has to stop. She be like "oh crap! I'm overdoing it. Waiiiit Garm, stop it, no crying!".

Poor Garm he can barely catch his breath. Aaaa now i have to draw this! 🥺

Baby!Lloyd with a shark-shaped pacifier has invaded my thoughts.

Omg this is adorable! Of course Garmadon would get him everything shark-themed! Whenever i'm at any department store and i see the baby section, sometimes they have clothes with shark designs and i can't help to think of Baby Lloyd 😆 Garmadon would totally get those for him.

Garm: if it has a shark on it, we are getting it!

Koko: lol Garm, why are so obsessed with sharks?

Garm: what!? How is that even a question? It's because sharks are AWESOME!

I was trying to think of a theme for movie!Garm and the first thing my brain came up with was Bowser's castle theme fghdkjks

OMGGGG lmaooo! That's quite fitting actually! I never thought about it but i think Bowser and Garmadon would actually get along. They both strike me as the kind of overly dramatic and flamboyant villain that deep down are not so terribly bad? I'm not a super expert on Mario Bros canon or anything, but i dunno, Bowser seems like kind of a dork to me, and so does Garmadon!

And i guess technically that "It's Garmadon" song from the movie soundtrack is Garmadon's theme. At some point that was the most played song on my phone music player. I must have listened to it over a hundred times. XD i must bring it back to #1!
