Discover the Dior Homme spring 2018 collection, designed by Kris Van Assche, Creative Director of Dior Homme, and embodied by the actor and House muse Robert Pattinson in the new campaign photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.

An artist’s studio opening over the roofs of Paris is the location in which Robert Pattinson posed for Karl Lagerfeld’s camera. The actor’s contemporary allure, dressed as he is in the Dior Homme spring 2018 collection, is enhanced by the raw and timeless black and white setting.

Over the course of the series, Robert Pattinson makes the pieces in this men’s wardrobe designed by Kris Van Assche his own, going from a full suit to a more laid back style, without losing any of his elegance.

“It's Miss actually“ - traditional fashion advert

This advert for Miss Dior, first advertised in 2015, is an editorial of the fragrance collection. It speaks to one’s emotions and is conveying a story about a young woman who chooses to be free to live her own life, independent from men.

The concept is very much in line with Dior’s initial vision, when the perfume launched for the first time in 1947.

“Dedicated to Catherine, his beloved sister, Miss Dior erupted into life as the perfect accompaniment for the happy and liberated young woman of the New Look.“

Miss Dior has grown to become an iconic perfume; with its adverts starring Natalie Portman, it targets the agency of women through history and follows the ‘trend’ of females becoming more independent. This is the USP of Miss Dior.

Below is a new advert for Miss Dior, first advertised in 2017. This is an advert that continues the theme from the 2015 advert. It might be more extreme in the way it gives more room for Natalie Portman to be liberal. The emotions of independency in below advert are turned up compared to the 2015 advert, which might suggest the rapidly growing number of females standing up for themselves in the modern society today. 

This is a traditional advertising campaign.

The distinct difference between this advertising strategy and Starbucks’ ‘free’ advertising campaign of their branded cups, is that Dior pays to promote a single product in a collection, which is shown in traditional medias such as TV, thereby creating awareness to customers.
