The man on the radio is frisky this Friday and fair flipping out track after track, starting with a foray to a second hand store for a raspberry beret. Weatherwise you'll need 'the umbrella', souwester, galoshes and coat. The traffic lady that's a devil for a duck is back, and the man on the radio brought her another from the many he found in Verona. The chef on the radio chewed the fat with crispy chicken and a cheesecake.

Today's groaner: a chicken saw a duck standing by the side of the road. The chicken called out to the duck ... "Don't do it pal, you'll never hear the end of it!" ;-D badoom tish ... here all week!!

A good night's sleep for Biggest Dog and I. She slumbers still on the settee, legs and eyes twitching as she chases something from her mind's eye.

Storm Ernesto / Storm Lilian ... back to back and whispering to one another, tail to tail and head to head. I'm sitting in the lounge happy to just be gazing out at the somewhat inclement weather. Once again we've reached the point where the met Office keeps naming the storms and I keep thinking it's now become just one long soliloquy from the rather peevish Gods. I'm thinking Terry Pratchett, Ice Giants and a borrowed lawnmower.

Friday, Friday, Friday ... coffee, coffee, coffee ... let the hibernation commence ...
