The man on the radio is not the usual man on the radio. The usual man on the radio is sleeping off last night's partying as the station celebrated 25 years on air. The stand-in man on the radio seems to be having difficulty finding the required buttons and alternates between sounding as though he is in the room with you, or has wandered off and is absent-mindedly continuing the show from one of the studio's bathrooms. The traffic lady's reports are erratic as all timekeeping bets are off this morning.

The shiny metropolis calls once more and, as ever, I am in need of Ireland's only umbrella. Yes, I am most assuredly referring to the much coveted 'the umbrella'. It is fabled amongst the folk of the soggy Emerald Isle. Many are prepared to swear they have had regular sightings of 'the umbrella' and some are even prepared to swear upon their morning cup of 'tay' that they have been within touching distance of it.

I myself know a man who knows another man who swears that the friend of a friend of a friend might just be able to lay his hands on the pen used to sign the 'the umbrella' booking sheet ... but I must keep this information close to my chest.

In the meantime, I shall alternately dream of 'the umbrella' and sunnier days where I shan't need 'the umbrella' ... or I could just do the sensible thing and get a raincoat.

Perhaps the man on the radio who is not the usual man on the radio will finally find the 'weather report' and I'll be a little wiser as to what level of wetness lies in store for the rest of today ... (blinks ... waits ... sighs) ... nope ... looks like he's found the traffic lady button again instead ................ she will be surprised ...

I think it should be mandatory to go and rewatch 3rd Life with your friends every once in awhile. Return to your roots. See all the foreshadowing unfold right before your eyes. Enjoy the simple, early game vibes knowing what's going to happen in the end and beyond. Cry over cubes a little bit. For your health.

might i req a prompt if you’re still doing them?

it’d be an au of sorts where spider queen decides that the risk of wukong escaping her draining webs was significantly higher if he was conscious. so she bites him and injects him full of a powerful sedative venom. wukong, being in quite a bit of pain but couldn’t help drifting away from consciousness. he’s not asleep, but he’s not awake, his eyes stare at nothing and he’s eerily quiet. after dbk starts struggling after seeing this, he’s met with the same fate.

with wukong not being awake, nobody escapes containment and spider queen manages to capture red son and mk who get front row seats witness their teacher/dads completely subdued for the first time.

"OW!"

Sun Wukong felt his eyes go wide. Next to him, he heard DBK snort in panic as Spider Queen pulled away from his throat. Her teeth were bloody, but she was grinning. "What- What the fuck?!" Had she managed to tear a piece of his flesh out?! "Are you trying to eat me?! Stone doesn't taste very good, you know!"

"No, no, don't worry. I don't intend that fate for you, pretty boy." Her hand slid gently over his face before knotting in his hair and yanking his head back. "But I'm not an idiot." He wanted to spit that she could've fooled him, but his tongue was heavy in his mouth. "You'll do anything to escape and save your precious little prince," The title was spat out. "So I just gave you a bit of a sedative." Her hand released and Wukong felt himself slump over.

Move. Come on, move! Qi Xiaotian needs you!

But he couldn't.

He couldn't move.

Faintly, he heard DBK snarl "Wukong?! WUKONG, ANSWER!" He might've said something, but a cry of pain interrupted his words.

The last he heard was Spider Queen laughing.

"LET ME GO!"

"WHERE'S MONKEY KING?!"

"AHHHHHHHH!"

The yells and screams echoed off the walls of the mech. Spider Queen could barely bit back a chuckle at a loud yelp that definitely came from Huntsman. "So, the boy's here, and so is the Trigram Furnace," she said to the little lady. "What else do you need?"

The little lady hummed. "First, we need to make sure the boy does not escape." She turned her eyes to the little display that had been constructed over the hours since the prisoners had been taken. "This will do a wonderful job."

"And the prince? And the girl?"

The little lady hummed. "They may be useful in the course of destiny. But, of course, the Monkey King's successor matters most."

The doors opened, revealing the trio of powerful kids.

Goliath held the struggling girl over his head. His hands and face were littered with savage-looking bites. Syntax was barely hanging on to the Demon Bull Prince, looking as if he had walked through fire. Huntsman looked the most put together, with only a black eye. The Monkey King's successor looked wild though, as if he was about to follow the girl's lead and start biting.

His eyes met hers and then slid up. The screams and thrashes went silent.

"There you are, kids!" Spider Queen spread her arms, accenting the dead-looking Monkey King and Demon Bull King. "You nearly missed the party!"

Limited Life ep 6 spoilers

I’m so confused you guys, I was watching Scar and I’m like “…. That’s Gem” and accepted she was playing for Cleo with no explanation but now it sounds like Lizzie’s playing for Pearl??? I’m so confuzzled

The man on the radio is playing riverdance music, watch out for those flailing legs! Quirky news today tells of a Nigerian anchor who managed to interview 90 people in 55 hours ... plus a 10 foot alligator that stopped flights in Florida temporarily as it made it's way across the runway. The traffic lady came and went each time I was absent from the kitchen.

The shiny metropolis is on today's menu. It's Tuesday in Tuesdayville and there's another to do list to pay attention to.

I remember shopping as a youngster, thinking how much fun it was ... hitting teenage years and couldn't get enough of all the shinies ... then first job, first proper shopping list, buying all the food, throwing it in the boot of the car, debating what to cook once home ... passing the local takeaway ........... and stopping to get chips.

Not a fan of shopping, haven't been for quite some time ... quite happy not to go to town ever again ... the shinies at home are far more eye catching and tempting.

Plus there's charity shops in town ... with books ... lots of books ... and my shelves and floor and table and chairs are full, full, full.

Think I need that alligator to impede my shopping progress ...

*the video opens up with a close-up of Long Xiaojiao’s face, wearing a bright grin*

“HEEEY, Dragonets! It’s your gal Mei here and we are in the middle of our third day at Shanghai Disney Resort!” 

*camera whirls to reveal Tang snapping a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Long posing in front of the castle. Next to them, Pigsy and Spider Queen are reading a map, neither looking amused* 

“For those who don’t know, my family and I and our friends are spending one week here! Today, me and my friends are doing a special challenge!”

*into frame leaps Qi Xiaotian* 

“DISNEY BOUNDING!”

*Xiaojiao squeals as she wraps a hand around her bestie.* “That’s right! Me and my boys agreed to do some Disneybounding. You guys voted and here are our outfits!” *she snaps her fingers* “Red, if you will?”

*The camera shifts and backs away, revealing their outfits.*

“For me, it was Mulan…” *Xiaojiao is wearing her classic green jacket. Under it is a cute yellow tank paired with yellow jeans. A big blue belt with a a red bow sits between the shirt and pants. Finishing the look is a red dragon purse and Xiaojiao’s hair pulled back in a bun with a familiar flower hairpiece* “And for my boy Xiaotian…”

“Jim Hawkins!” *Xiaotian wears a cute blue jean jacket that match his dark combat boots. He wears grey-greenish overalls over a yellow shirt and has pulled his hair back into a ponytail. He also wears a purse, this one resembling the map from Treasure Planet. He spins, showing off the look, before grinning* “But the best part is…”

*Xiaojiao takes the camera and the two say it together*

“The King of Hearts!”

*Red poses in a cute nineties red and black dress. On top is a red jacket with black heart buttons. Gold jewelry glints on him, matching his flats. His purse shaped like a red heart. He gives a princess wave with fine black gloves and he smiles like a queen* “Yes, yes, give the only royal one to me.”

*off-camera* “Are you guys done?”

*camera whirls to reveal Wukong perched on DBK’s shoulder. Neither look particularly pleased at the crowd. Iron Fan seems more chill, sipping on a drink*

“Yeah!” *Xiaotian sends a reassuring grin to his mentor* “We’re almost done! We just need to-” *Xiaotian looks around, seeming to realize something* “Where’s Sandy and Huntsman?”

“I…uh…” *Xiaojiao looks around, seeming to realize the same issue* “I don’t know…where’s Bai He-” *something big and blue scoops them up. Xiaojiao screams and the camera goes out of focus. When it does, it reveals Xiaojiao, Xiaotian, and Red are being carried by a frantic Sandy. On his shoulders, a smug Huntsman is adjusting a fancy crown on Bai He’s head* “SANDY?!”

“YEAH WE SHOULD GO BEFORE WE GET THROWN IN DISNEY JAIL-”

“WHY ARE WE GETTING THROWN IN DISNEY JAIL?!”

“JUST RUN!”

*behind them, the camera focuses on a DBK who looks relieved, carrying his wife and former sworn brother, and Mr. and Mrs. Long, dragging the others behind*

*behind them is several security guards*

*the camera jostles and is thrown*

“SHIT MY PHONE-”

*the video goes black*
