Nature as the starting point for appreciating the beauty of colour, light, shape, texture and story. Fluid to solid. White to black. Dark to light. Movement and stillness.

A few weeks back I shared SURROUNDED in it’s original black and white. The above image is the result of my going back to the photograph before its black and white interpretation, and exploring the above elements. Instead of creating a life-like representation I went a different direction, resulting in the image you see. How to describe it? Artful? Illustrative? How would you describe it?
