Quick question! What the fuck is keeping Audrey working with Gabriel in feralnette au when its more smarter to cut all ties with him from a business perspective? Considering Gabriel lost access to high tier textiles from Amelie why would she still work with him at all

legally he's in the wrong, but socially, it wasn't hard for him to tell his social circles that Amelie was being overly-emotional, had tricked him using sentimentality, was threatening his son, etc etc. Sure, legally he was wrong. But Amelie isn't friends with his friends, so the people Gabe knew bought his depiction of his former textile supplier without even thinking twice.

I really hope that the lotr fandom will soon move on from discussions about Rop's legitimacy as a Tolkien adaptation.

The current climate of people either fully dismissing the whole show or declaring it a full-on masterpiece needs to stop. I (for the most part) enjoy watching the show and therefore find myself more often than not on the side of the latter. But, I really wish we could have more productive discussions about the actual content of the show other than just how well it lines up with the lore, including calling out some major issues that I haven’t seen discussed at all.

In all the discussions about orc families, short vs. long-haired elves, ring mechanics, etc, It's definitely noticeable that nobody (neither fans nor antis) seem to have called out the super racist orientalist elements in the Rhun storyline.

#some real criticism that isn't just about the lore #I can't be the only one who is deeply uncomfortable with the fact that the only people from Rhun we've seen sofar (except the Stoors)#are evil and played by white actors in vaguely middle eastern garb in vaguely middle eastern buildings accompanied by a “oriental” score #and the masked mercenaries who both work for the dark villain and are disfigured 😬#I really hope the show manages to pull of some sort of complexity or nuance with the Rhun plot #but they have definitely not set themselves up for success with this one #the rings of power #the rings of power s2 #trop #rings of power #lotr fandom
