BEHOLD! FRUIT SALAD!
These three weapons all share the same identification of being a longer ranged, somewhat estranged cousin of another weapon, and all have needlessly long barrels. I really liked the idea of the Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose having a fruit-themed, more colorful design, so I gave the same treatment to the .96 Gal and Rapid Blaster Pro. The metal was made gold because it looks cool.
The Lime .96 Gal's kit stays constant with the tradition of giving the .96 a nonlethal, supportive sub weapon in the form of ink mine. While ink mines don't necessarily synergize with the weapon in any way, they're good for blocking flanks or helping out in reclaiming a zone, which plays into the .96's general role as a support weapon. I chose splashdown for the special with a similar idea to the Custom Explosher, with the intent of using it as a close-range area clear to help the .96 Gal when it gets rushed down by faster, higher DPS weapons.
This kit for the Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose uses suction bomb and Tenta Missiles, which are the sub and special weapons featured in the H-3 kits from Splatoon 2 that do not make an appearance again in Splatoon 3. Thanks to the vanilla H-3 Nozzlenose inheriting point sensor and Tacticooler to replace Ink Armor, and the H-3 D gaining a much more defensive kit of splash wall and Big Bubbler, I thought it would be fitting to give this rendition of the Cherry H-3 this kit, which allows it to be more offensive, utilizing suction bomb as a form of area denial to force opponents away, and allowing Tenta Missiles to benefit from the weapon's far-back position.
The Lemon Rapid Blaster Pro has burst bomb and Kraken Royale. Rapid Blaster Pro is, by nature, a supportive weapon through the use of chip damage and its position as an anchor. In a similar vein to the Deco kit, I wanted to give the weapon more opportunities for splats by itself. Yes, this is the second long-range blaster that I am giving burst bomb combo capabilities to. Will that stop me? No. As someone who can't aim with this thing, I think that Burst Bomb would make the weapon a little more forgiving, allowing any amount of damage from the bomb to finish off an opponent who's been tagged by a direct hit. As for Kraken, I see it as a special that can really skirmish, either driving opponents away from an objective, displacing them, or distracting them for teammates to come in and deal some damage. I think it would fit well into the Rapid Blaster's supportive role.

(Still messing around with the plasma tracers so excuse that)
Covenant reinforcements continue to pour out from the forest in continuous waves. Each wave being pushed back a few inches from where the last wave had held. With small groups of Covenant forces attempting to make pushes onto the marines position that had all ended in failure, with their tank being a deodorant stopping any large scale pushes onto their position. 
An Elite officer orders a nearby elite minor and 2 jackals to follow him in his attempt to push the marine position. The other elite is killed by a tank round before having a chance to move. The officer begins his charge dodging what gun fire he can and lets his shields take the rest of it as he closes the distance with his 2 jackals keeping up behind him. The officer spots a Marine who had over extended himself away from his group near the front of their formation reloading with a noticeable gap between him and the next position of marines. Seeing an opportunity to break into their formation redirects himself to the marine, firing a few shots from his Carbines at his position causing him to panic and drop his mag, the officer then drops his cardine, switches to his energy sword, and jumps at the Marine. Before either had time to react Shield 2 jumps in between them with his hardlight shield deployed. The elite lands on the shield and tries to stab and slashes his way through it and being deflected by his shield. “Grimes!” the spartan calls out.
“One sec spartan!” GYSGT Grimes responds, he was standing behind Shield 6, using the spartan as portable cover, as the spartan had left his cover the draw attention away from an injured marine who was being carried to the back of their formation to receive medical attention, and Grimes had followed behind him, he fires 2 shots into the 2 approaching jackals then redirects his focus to the elite, firing the rest of his mag into the elite breaking its shields and killing it. The Elites body slumps down on the shield, now lifeless, and slides off it. Keeping the shield up, B-220 turns towards the Marine, his armor quickly identifies him and displaces the name and rank,Private First Class Vincent Cruz, in his visor, “Cuz move your ass back to your fireteam position before I drag you back there myself Private!”, SHLD 2 commands. The Marine gives a quick nod then runs back.
Grimes finishes reloading his M395 and continues firing from behind Shield 6. A plasma grenade flies in and lands next to them. Before Grimes can even react, Shield 6 in a quick action turns around and body blocks as the grenade detonates in a blue explosion next to them, sending them both on the ground. Shield 6 lands on his forearms and lower legs on top of Grimes continuing to protect the Gunnery Sergeant, the Spartans shields emitters blinking violently, singling that his shields have been broken. From underneath the Spartan, Grimes can see another grenade thrown at their position. 
In the plasma grenades ark descent, Shield 2 rushed in front of them with his hardlight shield still up and swatted the grenade out of the air as it blow up quickly after, he then fired 2 shots from his M6H at an approaching Jackal who had tried to make a push on his own. “Jevin”, SHLD 2 barks an order to his A.I. While waiting for his A.I.s response he looks back to both of them and sees the back of Shield 6, seeing the back of his damaged blue digital camo MK VII. 
A ping sounded in his helmet, “Shield 6 vitals are stable, armor took the impact. Armor at 78% operating capacity.” Jevin answered in his cold British voice, “Gunnery Sergeant Grimes vitals are stable, according to suit sensors detecting many minor wounds. Additional medical attention is advised for further inspection. Hardlight Shield at 63%”
Before Shield 2 could give his next command Shield 6 was already back on his feet, unholstered his Sidekick and had begun firing from behind the Hardlight shield. Grimes shortly follows, “Fuck,” Pulling down his mask and lets out a cough, “how many of these covie freaks our there?” Grimes says in frustration while slowly getting back on his feet and pulling his mask back up. Picking up Shield 6 MA5 and handing to him, “What’s the plan, Spartans?” GYSGT Grimes asked.
The 2 spartans gave a quick glance at each other as a green light pings in their visors. “Grimes, on my command stay behind me we’re going to break to the right for cover, Abraham break left to those rocks over there for cover and help those marines.” SHLD 2 said. 
“Hardlight shield at 46%” Jevin pinged in Shield 2’s helmet.
“Break!” SHLD 2 yells, Shield 6 breaks left from behind the shield and runs to a group of marines firing behind a small group of rocks and downed tree, Shield 2 and Grimes break right, Grimes staying behind the spartan’s shield as they reach nearby cover. LCPL Padilla runs up behind them as the Spartan pushes Grimes down and begins returning fire. 
Grimes lets out a grunt of pain as he is pushed down, after the spartan removes his hand from Grimes shoulder, he slightly turns his head and peaks out, plasma bolt flies right by and grazes the side of his helmet and he jolts back down. “I swear if I die on this planet I’m going to haunt every single person in this platoon.” Grimes says while still coughing. 
“I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen, just keep your head down.” Padilla says while beginning to inspect Grimes, “What got hit and what’s hurting?” 
“I’m fine” Grimes answers 
“That is incorrect,” Jevin interjects through their helmet radios, “the Gunnery Sergeant has received from both the impact of the blast, getting thrown on the ground, and the 1.83 seconds that Shield 6 was on top of him in the initial moment when then the both were thrown on the ground has received multiple minor injuries to the back of his back, chest, right leg..”
“Just give me some morphine,” Grimes says, cutting off the A.I. “We’ll worry about it later.” 
“Don’t have anymore, I gave Baker my Morphine for wounded in the back” Padilla says then pauses for a moment to think about it while looking at Grimes for any noticeable injuries and possibly external bleeding that may need to be looked out, 
“Then why did you come up here?” Grimes asks with a tone of frustration in his voice.
Padilla, ignoring Grimes' question, looks over to Shield 2, “Hey Spartan, do you have any morphine?”
“Back hip bag, first pouch, left side” Shld 2 answers without breaking concentration while returning fire.
“Thanks.” Padilla, while staying crouched down in cover, moves around Grimes and behind the spartan as a plasma round hits his shield and it flares, and opens the bag and grabs some out. Turning back around he pushes down Grimes BDU collar and injects the morphine into his collar, “I’ve known you long enough Grimes to know pain doesn’t ever stop you and that you have freakish pain tolerance. Even then if it was something to worry about I would’ve just dragged your ass to the back with everyone.” Grimes just stares at Padilla knowing that he couldn’t argue with him when he was right, they’ve done this same song and dance more than either of them could count.  
“If I may,” 2LT Taylor says over comms, “I think it’s about time we push these bastards and continue on.”
“I second that Gunny.” SSGT Osborne joins in, the sound of the M808 Scorpion mounted M247T machine gun, which he had been operating eversense they hit the ground, being picked up through his helmet mic into his.     
 “Agreed,” Grimes snaps back to their current situation, “Becker get that tank of yours ready to move your going to the taking point, Fireteam leads get your men ready we’re going to follow behind and cover the tank.”
The sound of 2 loud roars fill the air, “What the hell was that?” Taylor asks.

After an unceremonious arrival in a post-apocalyptic timeline where Skynet successfully launched its nuclear holocaust, Casse the T-XA patiently waited in the shadows of the ruined city until dusk amongst the destruction, in an attempt to locate the positions of certain stars and other astronomical objects in the night sky.
Armed with a copy of the chrono-spatial co-ordinates that were programmed into the time displacement equipment from the timeline he departed from, Casse had no way to determine if the equipment was accurate and if he had ended up in the right place, at the right time. Being able to determine this would be of great use to his current, self-imposed mission.
Unfortunately, the sheer volume of smoke, haze and smog from the beginnings of a nuclear winter thwarted his multiple attempts, even with his boosted and enhanced visual sensors. Casse then loaded up secondary methods, picked the one which was the most accurate but still was still much less accurate than using astronomy and astrophysics, but could be useful to some extent, but Casse really had no other choice.

Scanning the ruins of the buildings directly around him, Casse compared them to the files he had of the current city from a timeline when Judgement Day had never actually happened, comparing the ruined husks to what they would have looked like only a few short months ago, and after a few seconds he arrived at a 90% confidence rate this was the correct place, and that the circular error probable rate of the spatial location chrono-teleportation was a surprisingly minimal 10 metres. This was more accurate than the ICBMs Skynet had launched in what appeared to be only a few months prior to his arrival.
