If there’s one thing I’ve learned during the process of putting together two studios in just over one year. I like working in the studio a whole lot more than I like working on it! But with that being said you’ve got a build the studio before you can play in it! Tonight’s session fell through so I’m taking tonight off to rest after a week of full throttle. I built removable window isolation units to take care of the three windows in my studio space. They were made mostly out of scraps with five layers including MDF, drywall, plywood and a TON of acoustical caulking!!! Check out the full video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4xRPeolfhE&t=910s

#TBT Flash back to when I was building the window for the vocal booth! I used four layers of quarter inch tempered glass. It had a 3 1/2” air gap in the middle and 2 layers on each side wich had 1/4” air gap between them. This was my first time building a window of this nature. It came out great and definitely serves it’s purpose! I will say.... when the day comes to build a window for the next control room it will have slanted glass and a thicker air gap in the middle.
