I have a rotary encoder and some 3mm LEDs somewhere.. V1.1 Dumbpad by imchipwood with @akkogear Ocean Blue keys. I think I might make some kind of weathered looking antique white enamel case because ART. Not sure about keys yet. #diykeyboard #mechanicalkeyboard #macropad #akkokeycaps #arduino #promicro https://www.instagram.com/p/CV8v7AMMI5C/?utm_medium=tumblr
Ortho-Keys tester has a plastic pal who's fun to be with ⌨️🔑💡
We were tasked with fixing an older tester for our 5x6 ortho-key break-apart board . This board has many test points to verify because we have 30 total keys, and each key has the switch contacts and the Neopixel. Pressing down to touch all the Pogo pads simultaneously can be a challenge! We use both standoffs for the mounting hole alignment and a big laser-cut plastic plate that provides even pressure. When all the LEDs go green, you know it's all working! Next, we hand this back to the test-prep leads, which will be put back into production.
Uh oh. Looks another keyb build is happening. They warned me and I didn’t listen. #diykeyboard #mechanicalkeyboard #akkoswitches #tactileswitches https://www.instagram.com/p/CUVjS6NI4-E/?utm_medium=tumblr
Seems a shame to get caps on these switches eh? #corne #cornekeyboard #splitkeyboard #mechboards @mechboardsuk #diykeyboard @akkogear #crealityender5pro @filamentive #3dprinting https://www.instagram.com/p/CSOpP-ssePv/?utm_medium=tumblr
Huge progress tonight. Successfully flashed the firmware from the command line (could not get qmk toolbox to connect to the pro micros) and checked the circuit on VIA. All keys work fine. Now to solder on some switches. #splitkeyboard #cornekeyboard #mechboards #diykeyboard #arduino #customkeyboard https://www.instagram.com/p/CSNMHlMsEXG/?utm_medium=tumblr
It’s a crazy idea but it might just work. Diode legs as header pins so the pro-micro can sit upside down on low profile header sockets. The Kaptan tape is to stop excess solder dropping into the sockets as the diode legs are way smaller than normal header pins. the worst case scenario is some solder cleanup but at least I’ll have protected the sockets. Hopefully. Wish me luck! #corne #splitkeyboard #arduino #diykeyboard #mechboards https://www.instagram.com/p/CSH6NsHMQ7I/?utm_medium=tumblr
