DIY Stim Toy
Materials: - silicon trivet (I got mine for $2.49 at Aldi’s) - keyring (optional, I used a flexible one)
Instructions 1. Hold the trivet and decide what size piece you want to stim with.
2. Use a ruler (or the cardboard from the wrapper) and make lines to cut along.
3. Using scissors, cut along your lines to the shape you want, trim any uneven edges when done.
4. If you want to add a keyring, you can incorporate any pre-made holes in the trivet into the section you cut, or you can use the scissors to cut a hole to put the key ring through.
Note: I included pictures of the second Toy that I made, which is a small strip slightly wider than my thumb, and was the perfect size to attach to my keys!

Just a quick question, for other people who aren’t that fortunate to buy a stim toy of any sort, do you have any DIY toys someone could make at home? Thanks in advance😁
@diystimtoys has some good posts.
This also seems like it has some good ideas!

Hey y'all! I've been desperately in search of a vibrating chewy but the closest I could find (the Z Vibe from Ark Therapeutics) runs upwards of $30 and that wasn't gonna work for me. So I made my own! This is an Up & Up brand vibrating toothbrush from Target. It was about $7.50 for pack of two. The brand isn't important, just make sure you get one with an off switch and not one with a timer. I trimmed the bristles down with scissors and then (VERY carefully) slid the end of a Chew U Tube from @stimtastic over the end (if you push too hard, the neck of the toothbrush will bend and wear down - learned that the hard way). Then I trimmed off the rest of the Chew U tube which was perfect as I'd been wanting to trim it anyway! ***Note: I don't recommend this method for actually chewing unless you use a thicker chewy on the tip somehow. I mostly wanted the vibrating sensation but needed something that was mouth-safe and a pleasant texture (unlike toothbrush bristles). [Image description: a pale white hand holds the handle of a black and blue electric toothbrush. The bristles of the toothbrush have been trimmed and covered with a light grey silicone sleeve. A wooden floor and a black refrigerator can be seen in the background.] @stimtoybox and @diystimtoys check it out?

Arlo, the ultimate sensory buddy! Featuring a chewy necklace cookie from @stimtastic homemade stimbeads, and a dollar store squeaky dog plush that I filled with polyfil beads to give it a little weight!
Instructions: 1. Cut open the seam on a small stuffed animal. 2. Remove existing stuffing and squeakers (if you use a squeaky toy like I did), and fill with polyfil beads, dried beans, or rice. 3. Hand sew the opening closed. 4. Attach a cord to the chewy, and add the sliding beads to desired length. 5. Sew the ends of the bead string onto the top of the stuffed animals head (I made knots in each end of of string, and cut open the seam on the head to slip them in).
