I don’t know if I have too too many personal hcs because I haven’t been developing this ship as much fhesilfjfes bad Nova....but the usual cat related hcs like “he purrs/kneads involuntarily when he’s happy,” “he hisses when he’s scared/upset,” "he gets distracted by and chases bugs and other similar objects,” “if he fits in a box he sits” fhieslfselfes like...they’re so stupid but I love that stuff so much, especially since he and Nova can be dumb furries together 

🍇 - How did you get introduced to your f/o?

Like many people I was bombarded with a bunch of art and info about the available villagers when ACNH first came out, and none of them really impressed me at first. I was actually convinced I wasn’t going to get an f/o out of this series (much less TWO, although I’m not as vocal about the second one because I’m still kind of embarrassed about it and he certainly hasn’t replaced my love for Raymond and never will) because I didn’t think I could f/o an AC character...like they don’t have a ton of personality, there’s no real plot or interaction in the game, there’s just not a lot to go off of? But the way the fandom took to portraying him coupled with his appearance just won me over somehow...and I surrendered to the crush feelings that infected me about this sassy overhyped catboy that I just want to kiss and snuggle and call my own fheislfjeslifkes

💛 - Do you like the source material your f/o came from? (it's okay if you don't or do!)

Yeah! I still play AC every day, and I think I’m finally starting to lock in the way I want my island to look. It’s a simple game but it helped me feel productive when I was under the dark cloud of depression (and still does, even if that productivity is just an illusion.) My favorite thing is getting to collect outfits and customize areas of my island to make neat getaway spots where Nova and Raymond could go hang out...I’ve got a cafe and a forested witchy area and a bamboo grove with a bunch of neat decorations that I really love...and I like to imagine them hanging out/going on dates in those areas a lot :D

Hello! Since asks were open: I wanted to gush a little about the fact that my self ship with Rhys has lasted over 3 years. I know it doesn't seem like a long time, and factors almost prevented it (it was scarily close to ending too) but something just feels right about still being with him. He feels like home. It's been a rough few months but it means a lot that he's still there. I just wish i could be more coherent as opposed to HELLO I LOVE HE but he feels like home. I love him so much ❤️

   DUDE, IT’S SO AWESOME!!!! 3 years is actually plenty long, when you consider all the months and days that went into that... You’ve made it this far! And could make for even MORE years!!!! Self-shipping is crazy-wonderful like that.

   And to be fair... It is entirely possible soulmates could exist in fictional media... When a certain character feels like home, brings you so much comfort, gives you energy to keep going... There’s something special there, y’know? So it’s really precious that he can do that for you!! He gets to bring you down, comfort you...and even if you think you don’t deserve this or him and all that he comes with...you do. And if you need a break, he’s happy to wait.

   Cause he cares about you. Knows that if space is what you need, that it’ll help and- when you’re ready- you can come to him for help the rest of the way.

   That’s the energy that’s constantly with you two: love and support through everything. It’s what you need, it’s what he needs....and I love that a ton about your ship~
