When the Chinese President calls for looking "far ahead" and aiming "high," these are not mere empty phrases—as we are so used to hearing from vacuous politicians in the West. Recall that Xi just led his country through the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, which adopted a concrete perspective for "building a beautiful China and a beautiful world" by the year 2050, centered on extending the Belt and Road Initiative to the entire planet. Recall that China has raised 700 million of their own people out of poverty in merely three decades, and that they are now embarked on helping Africa do the same, as well as any other part of the planet smart enough to accept their offer to collaborate. And recall that Xi Jinping has put a proposal on the table to the United States to join the Belt and Road Initiative, almost from the moment he launched the policy back in 2013.

It is extremely important that Xi Jinping is speaking out ahead of the summit with Trump, Helga Zepp-LaRouche commented today, to create an advantageous climate for that critical meeting. He has placed his thoughts and proposals out there beforehand, and that is good, she said.

Now it is time for Donald Trump to take a lesson in statecraft from Lyndon LaRouche. U.S. v Russia?

Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, has threatened to target U.S. Missile Defense Sites if the United States does not share it's defense plans with Russia. The Defense Sites which Russia has threatened are those which are to be built in Europe. Medvedev says that if the U.S. continues to build these missile shields in Europe, his nation will be forced to take countermeasures. Countermeasures such as a Russian Missile Defense build up branching out westward are now being talked about. The expansion of Missile Sites into Europe is something the United States has been exploring since President Bush was in office, and President Obama has kept that pursuit alive. The White House has ensured Russia that these sites will not be targeting Russian Nuclear forces, nor do they pose a threat to Russia. Medvedev also threatened to walk away from the New START arms control deal, which says Russia and the U.S. will cooperate in regards to nuclear disarmament, with the United States and halt other arms control talks. The U.S. has had great diplomatic talks with Russia under Medvedev's presidency but with Vladimir Putin expected to take up the presidency again in March of 2012, this possible stalemate can only get worse. Putin has been a strong advocate against the expansion of U.S. Missile Defense Sites in Europe, since Russian leaders see it as a threat to their national interests. With China already upset at the U.S. planning to expand militarily to the Asia-Pacific area, Russia adds to the list of unhappy World Powers when it comes to the U.S. Global Defense plans. China and Russia have expressed possible retaliation if there isn't a clear cut understanding with the capabilities and intentions of these expansions by the United States, as it deals with each nation respectively. President Medvedev has shown interest in diplomatically solving the issues between the U.S. and Russia as it pertains to the Missile Defense Systems. Russian leaders feel that there must be legal action and understanding between the nations. This is surely a topic that will be brought up again in the World's politics. Russia accepts Iran into the EEU while also extending oil for goods program meant to bypass the dollar

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a draft interim agreement establishing free-trade zone between the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and Iran. 

The corresponding order was published on Tuesday on the website of the Russian government. The agreement provides for the formation of a free-trade zone for certain goods and is subject to ratification, as it contains rules different from those stipulated by the Russian law. 

Talks between the two countries on a free-trade deal started three years ago but were repeatedly postponed. According to Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak, who is also co-head of the Russian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, the agreement “will obviously trigger further development of our bilateral trade and expansion of investment cooperation.”  – Russia Today

With Iran, Qatar, and Venezuela all conducting oil trading outside the dollar, and Saudi Arabia on the cusp of being willing to sell their oil to China in Yuan rather than the global reserve, the next big step towards ending the Petrodollar system appears to be in play as trade in goods and commodities outside of just energy is beginning to ramp up.
