guys omfg trudy isn't a ROBOT. I'm going on record now, sue me if I'm wrong, but just because a woman is obviously so so so fake doesn't mean she's literally a robot.

we saw her facade break when she yelled at her kids. the rage and emotion that's underneath her rehearsed "good wife" act. i bet you she KNOWS tucker is cheating on her but divorce is so frowned upon and she's too old to remarry. so she stays. and she stays and she stays as the wife she's supposed to be.

does nobody get how INSANE being a woman was in the 50s. she was taught this since birth, shaped by society and her family, probably, and she knows nothing else. she doesn't know how NOT to be like this. I love her

I’m so hoping that the robot/experiment theory about Trudy is true, except that she’s not a fucked up “perfect wife” invented by her husband, but is actually a fucked up experiment that her husband is just assigned into watching by a bigger organization.

She can’t have money in case she uses it to get away, she’s extremely sheltered because the less she knows about the world the better, she has kids as something to be used against her or manipulate her into staying, and she can’t talk to other men because they could be people looking for her (makes you wonder what those “scam calls” might’ve sounded like).

Shes too powerful and is either being kept around to be used as a weapon later, or because they can’t get rid of her.

i do rly like the age range of characters this season tbh, like s1 was all late 30s-mid 40 year olds (the outliers being a demon and henry, who were both likely older than they thought they were due to originating from different realms, still mentally 30-40 though), s2 were all young, high school age teens (outliers being taylor at possibly 19 and lincoln at over 200 (technically still a teen though), still mentally teens though), and now in s3 we have a 16 year old, his 49 year old ex-teacher(who is drawn like a 70 yr old for some reason??), and two (afaik) undetermineds, likely around their 30s, with one being a maybe Italian drunk driver and the other being a slightly dissociative mother, and the mother and the teacher will probably kiss before we hit episode 10.
