The timeline is established, things are getting serious now! Here’s some in-between stuff I don’t have time to draw and assorted other ramblings:

After the finale, Adrien and Ladybug teamed up to try to chase down the Felix lead and somehow hit a dead end very quickly because I suck at writing antagonists and I respect Felix too much to involve him in my lovesquare nonsense. Just imagine that for the purposes of this comic they learned he’s like... hiding out in the Amazon rainforest or something. Gabriel will be around eventually though, because I do not respect him I am going to use him for plot purposes and because he’s part of Adrien’s story.

(Speaking of whom, I’m not going to be leaning in to the sentimonster Adrien theory. It hurts me and I have already allocated this story’s angst quota for other things.)

Ladybug is still dealing with the immense blow of losing all the miraculous, but Chat Noir has been her ROCK, her LIGHT, her SAFE PLACE, and her feelings for him just keep getting softer and softer (oh no this is dangerous. Ladybug used DEFLECT AND DENY! It’s not very effective...)

But she has been making an effort to be both more open with him and more sensitive towards his feelings. To that end, she gave him the cliff notes version of Chat Blanc and, based on what she remembers about the Ephemeral episode, shared her suspicions about identity shenanigans leading to disaster a second time.

Also this isn’t as important to the plot but I had them recover the dog Miraculous first because it’s hilarious to me to imagine Gabe being like “THIS MUST SECRETLY BE THE MOST POWERFUL MIRACULOUS” since Felix had it for like an hour and broke the world, only for Dogmoth to lose it immediately because compared to his nephew he is severely lacking in imagination and it turns out that ~imagination was the real superpower all along~

Final note because I am ~self-conscious~, I would like to reiterate that I wrote this story in one day after extremely limited interaction with the fandom (like less than a week of digging through a couple tags) and I am beginning to suspect that some of my “very clever ideas” are more likely well-established tropes at this point?? (That’s what happens when you get to a fandom five years late I guess.) I’ve already warned that this is an extremely self-indulgent comic so I’m just going to forge ahead with what I have planned and hope the journey is still fun for others too even if some of the themes aren’t wildly original fff.

Were you named after anyone? Yes, my grandmother died just before I was born so I was named for her.

When was the last time you cried? Oh boy, I cry a lot these days which is partly down to perimenopause. Hormones are crazy, kids. I wish you all a soft and even ride. I think the last time I cried was probably to music in the past ten days or so. Cannot remember which tune now, but it's a reasonably frequent occurrence.

Do you have kids? Nope, never had any desire to have them.

What sports have you played/do you play? I played camogie and tennis as a teenager. Tennis as an adult until I became disabled.

Do you use sarcasm? What do you think?

First thing you notice about people? Generally their vibe. Whether they're a drain or a radiator. This has become more apparent to me since I got an energy limiting condition. Some people will wear you out in the first five minutes and still want more. Others are calm and steady. I think we all fluctuate between the two at times, depending on circumstance.

What is your eye color? So blue.

Scary movies or happy endings? I'm all about the happy endings these days.

Any talents? Yep, I'm a musician. Was professional, made a couple of albums, toured etc. I can sing, play guitar and write songs.

Where were you born? Ireland

What are your hobbies? I LOVE books. Like, really really love 'em. Voracious reader, particularly audiobooks which are much easier for me now since becoming disabled. Favourite publisher - @torbooks Sports fan, particularly women's football. Follow the WSL, WCL and internationals. Always follow the Six Nations rugby every year. Wimbledon is a highlight of the summer for me.

Do you have any pets? I don't but I am Dogmother to my pal's dog. He lives close by and visits a lot and we like to nap together. I love dogs. All cats are bastards (although I secretly like them, and they like me).

How tall are you? 5' 2"

Favorite subject in school? English. I had a great teacher and I loved to write short stories.

Dream Job? Right now, winning the lottery and retiring would be my dream job. I'm struggling to keep my job because of my health and it sucks because I'm good at it and I love it, but I am very close to not being able to do it anymore. BUT change is good and what happens happens.

This scrumptious little bundle had a sleepover at my house on Friday night. My friend's new baby. She is nearly 12 weeks old, and arrived a week ago. I took a taxi to my friend's house the very next day and pledged my undying love. I have been appointed her dogmother and take my responsibilities very seriously. I'm happy to say the sleepover went splendidly ❤️

⭐️- For the longest time Clint has Karen listed as "The Dogmother" in his phone just because of the fact Karen seems to know the ins and outs of the dog park and carries with her a vague aura of someone who knows their shit. He thinks he's hilarious.

⭐️- Cases Jim can't take on as a P.I., or that need a lawyer's touch versus his own, he often refers to Nelson, Murdock, & Page. He'll often leave an envelope addressed to Karen on the desk or in the mail slot, depending on how urgent he thinks it is. He never answers questions on how it got there.

i will NEVER shut up about surrender by dogmother or any of the other songs on that channel if im being honest. that song will absolutely make me sob and throw up [positive] if it ever gets unprivated. if I ever work up the nerve to ask for the mp3 file (I wont) i won't share it though because it'd feel wrong? considering like. idk. it's probably private for a reason. it sucks when your fav song had like 80 views and wasn't on any other platform though.

Years ago when I was little I liked to watch episodes of this show on youtube but because this was years ago (2010?) they usually were in three parts.

The dogmother episode  was one of them but for some reason part three was nowhere to be found I remember being really upset about that.

This appeared on my recommended and deiced to close that chapter of my life.

And I kinda knew it would be very anticlimactic but I think my fuzzy memories did some of the heavy lifting like I swore the twist was the dog fairy was actually a “sand fairy”  and that meant she couldn’t actually do wish granting or something.

Also the puppy thing I think was the worse implication of chekhovs gun I’ve seen mostly because (even as a kid who thought this series was epic) knew it was reused footage and around the third time I was wonder if this was a weird attempt to sell toys.

The other episode I like it a lot more tough I think this one especially got fucked up by memory because I swore it was very different, like Cooler’s flashback was it’s own episode and I swore the episode ended with them realizing the manual was in Chinese.

will give it 7/10 because of how dark it is and how the manual joke to this day is kinda funny.

To end this ramble The dog fairy, Nose Marie and especially Catguts are the only designs I like, Bright eyes design bothers me for several reasons and Howler looks like Dr.Twobrains fursona.
