Another shot of the team sergeant, junior engineer, tajiman, & medic taking another shot at their enemy.⁣ ⁣ While the partner force pulled security below, & the team worked the 60mm mortar, another element of their unit maneuvered to flank the enemy in the mountains above.⁣ ⁣ However, those enemy were on horseback & were able to escape. No BDA or intel was acquired. Consensus from locals indicated the horsemen were most likely up to no good.⁣ ⁣ ATVs would have been beneficial in this situation, however the team's were old & not up to the task. Another beautiful Florida morning! I'm incredibly grateful to wake up here, especially after waking up in some terrible places with exceptionally terrible weather for much of my life. And I'm thankful for this little guy! He's getting on in years (12yo), so he gets up about 3 hours after me, but its clockwork every day. It's amazing how animals have an internal clock and schedule. It makes me realize how important it is for me to get up early every day, even weekends, and to keep a schedule. What a time and place to be alive! We can jump out of aircraft 2.5 miles above the earth and control our descent enough to land safely on the ground. Here was a pretty smooth landing with a big chute (Nav 240) at the end of my recert jump yesterday. This was my 29th free fall jump, however my A license wasn't current by almost 60 days. The stickers in this photo got me thinking about people that I come in contact with. The flag sticker of course is of the country I love. The USA came about because of tough determined people and became a GREAT COUNTRY because of tough determined people which leads me to the second sticker DOING IS GREATER THAN TALKING. People talk a great game today but never back it up. We developed from the mindset that sticker represents. You let your efforts and your actions speak for you. People seem to have lost their way they talk more and do less, they really do not back up their words. If I had a nickel for everyone who contacts me about improving performance or getting in shape BUT does not want to do the work after they find out the work I want from them ...I could retire. Seriously what has happened to the human race, most people are afraid of hard work...quite frankly they have become pussies. The great things in life require hard work, drive, dedication, perseverance, toughness, mental toughness, mindset, commitment...oh how times have changed.
