For the blurbs can I request 14 from the misc list and it’s “aren’t we supposed to be working?” with dom ☺️

The first nudge against your ankle is easy enough to ignore. You were buried in notes, your final was in two days, and the boy across from you needed to study even more than you did.

The second nudge is a little harder but all you offer is a quick glare at him, telling him to stop. He seems to take the hint and let’s you go back to your work for a bit.

The third nudge is accompanied with a frustrated little sigh and you finally sit up, looking over at the boy who seemed to have zero patience suddenly.

“What, Dominick?” You ask harshly, pulling out his full name to show him you were serious.

He winces and looks back at his notebook, “okay, no need for that. I was just checking on you, geez.”

“Dom, you know we have to pass this class. If we don’t pass this one we don’t get to move onto the next level. We need that to graduate,” you sigh, running your hand through your hair.

He nods, knowing you were right. You weren’t sure when this study buddy, turned friends with benefits, turned almost boyfriend started listening to you so well but you would take it when you could get it.

“Have you finished a chapter yet?” You ask him, glancing at his textbook.

He flips a page and smiles proudly, “almost! One more page to go.”

You laugh and shake your head, “keep going. We can’t get distracted yet.”

He sighs but agrees, turning back to taking notes and letting you do your own thing. You glance at your phone to check the time and your lock screen catches your attention more than it usually would.

It’s from the summer when the two of you had gone out on a friend’s boat for the day. Dom’s tan looked perfect and the backwards hat, just like he was wearing across the table, seemed to look extra good on him. He chews on his bottom lip as he looks for something in his textbook and you have to force yourself to go back to your own notes.

“Babe?” Dom asks softly, a concerned look on his face when you meet his gaze, “are you okay? You look like you’re ready to snap your pen.”

You take in a quick breath as you look at the pen you were suddenly holding in a death grip. You blush hard, realizing you were clenching your thighs together just as hard. You try and shake it off but of course he knows something is off.

“Seriously, are you okay? You look a little worked up?” His tone is immediately teasing, causing your blush to spread as you tried to laugh it off.

“Yeah, I’m good,” you giggle a little, but he knows better.

He smirks as he lifts his hat up, running his fingers through his hair slowly, “if you say so.”

The way he’s leaned back in the chair gives you enough to look at and you let your eyes wander as much as you want. It wasn’t like you could only look but not touch. You could touch if you wanted to, but you’d reprimanded him enough for getting distracted.

You break easily though and the look on his face tells you he knew it was only a matter of time before it happened. He slides his chair back when you stand from yours, holding a hand out for you to hold as you sit on his lap. You immediately wrap your arms around his shoulders and smile.

“Hi,” he says, shaking his head with a little laugh, “not very fair that you can just walk over here and do whatever you want after yelling at me all day.”

You pout and kiss him quickly, “I’m sorry, did you want me to go back to my spot?”

He immediately has a small battle inside him and you can see the gears turning in his head. He takes a couple seconds before squeezing you just a little tighter.

“No, but aren’t we supposed to be working?” He asks, his hand starting to rub your thigh gently.

The small action is enough to send your decision to stop studying overboard and you can’t seem to lean in to kiss him fast enough. He entertains it until you need to pull back for a breath, meeting you with his typical cocky smirk.

“What if we go do a different type of studying?” You ask him, nodding back towards the hallway that lead to your bedroom.

Dom stands up, his arms hooking under your legs and taking you with him, “now that’s the kind of studying I’d much rather do.”

You laugh, holding on tight as he heads for the hall. You’d much rather to that type of work anyways and you both deserved a “break”.

Tag 22: Durchs südöstliche Münsterland

Strecke heute: 30km Strecke insgesamt: 726km Wetter: Bewölkt und trocken, hin und wieder Sonne, wieder deutlich über 20 Grad. Ob es an der erholsamen Etappe gestern liegt, oder daran dass das Wetter besser ist, oder am schönen Abend mit Moni und Marc, der mir nach langer Wandereinsamkeit mal wieder Geselligkeit bescherte, weiß ich nicht, aber: Ich fühl mich wieder richtig gut! Hatte ja im Tecklenburger Land doch so ein kleines Zwischentief, mental wegen dem ekligen Wetter und körperlich wegen der Etappenlängen und weil mein rechter Oberschenkel weh tat. Aber jetzt hab ich wieder das Gefühl als könnte ich noch ein Jahr weiterlaufen. Heute waren es 30km, und 20-30km sind einfach angenehme Distanzen. Alles über 35km ist eher Anstrengung als Genuss, und falls ich noch mal eine ähnliche Langstreckenwanderung mache, werde ich keine Etappen über 35km planen. Erfahrungswerte. Heute ging es bei schönem trockenen Wetter erstmal durchs Stadtzentrum von Münster, vorbei am Dom und meiner alten Historischen Fakultät, und dann südwärts aus der Stadt hinaus an meiner alten Wohnung vorbei. Nostalgische Gefühle hielten sich in Grenzen, auf weil Münster wohl nicht die aufregendste und erfolgreichste Zeit meines bisherigen Lebens war. Auf noch sehr vertrauen Wegen folgte ich dem Dortmund-Ems-Kanal weiter nach Süden und aus Münster hinaus, dann durch Drensteinfurt und weiter bis zum kleinen Ort Mersch, wo ich mein Zelt jetzt blickgeschützt in einem Wäldchen aufgebaut habe. Morgen verlasse ich das Münsterland und es geht ins (ehemalige) Reich von Kohle und Stahl.
