What’s been going on with my channel

Long description about copyright problems and a future Twitter poll under the cut:

So the reason why I haven’t uploaded anything the past month or so isn’t because I’ve been short on steam... well, not just anyway. I’d gotten hit with multiple copyright strikes during January, enough to get my channel taken down. However, it’s a little odd, because the way they did it made it so two of the video that were struck would only be taken down 7 days after they were struck, and the same thing happened to my channel as a result. As a penalty, I can’t upload any videos.

The odd part is, though, that they said my channel would be taken down on the 24th, and yet it hasn’t gone down yet. It might’ve been because I sent the counter-notification for my Rap Critic/Undertale/Warhammer YTP soon after it was first taken down and Youtube apparently recieved it on the 6th and as long as a notification is under review, it doesn’t exactly count in the same way as a strike. However, Youtube said that because of some sort of deal they made with music companies, the video can’t go back up while it’s being reviewed, so it seems odd to me that it would function in all the other normal ways until then. It could also be because they got the counter-notifications for the other videos recently as well, but I’m pretty sure they got those after the 24th. Final diagnosis: beats the hell out of me.

In any case, when I eventually go back up I’m going to take it a bit more easy with copyright for a while, as I’m probably going to have a few lingering strikes. It’s for this reason that the collaborative video I’m working on with Goop Videos is going to go on his channel rather than mine. After I put up the video I made about trump, I’ve actually been strongly thinking about doing an LP of Doom II, seeing how it’s almost been a year since I did my LP of the first Doom. I don’t think I’ll be using the Brutal Doom mod again, though, since I think it would be kind of pointless to use it again for what’s essentially an expansion pack. The two mods I’ve been considering using are Doom4Doom, a mod with the intent of replicating the gameplay of Doom 4 as closely as possible, and MetaDoom, a mod that’s essentially a tribute to every Doom game ever made. I’ll eventually have a Twitter poll about which mod I should use if I decide to go through with this, so be on the lookout for that.
