General Headcanons for Kalinka & Dr. Cossack?

*Kalinka likes helping Dr. Cossack whenever possible, as she’s always happy to help, while curious to what he’s working on

*Dr. Cossack will happily support whatever it is Kalinka decides to do, and will always be there to help her when she needs it

*He just wants to see her succeed and be happy, like the proud father he is

*Kalinka will find a way to get Dr. Cossack away from his work, as she does not like seeing him work so much

*Dr. Cossack does tend to worry whenever she’s away from him, especially after the kidnapping incident 

*Kalinka will not stand by if anyone dares insult her dad, while Dr. Cossack is not bothered by it, telling her that it’s okay, but she does not think it is

Mega Man AU #3: Two Sides of the Same Coin

Back at it again with another one. I have one more to talk about after this one, and after that, I’ll be able to do a poll and continue working on the AU that wins!

For those of you who are first coming across a post like this from me, I created a few AUs that I wanted to work on, but I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to start first. So, I figured creating a post about each AU would help, along with making a poll so you guys can vote on which one you want me to write about first! :)

How this whole thing started 🥲

Now that I have that out of the way, it’s time to get into the AU itself! 👍

Two Sides of the Same Coin is a Mega Man role swap AU, where basically, Wily is the good guy, and Light is the bad guy. This ultimately makes Bass the protagonist, and Mega Man the anti-hero. I’m sure this concept has been done many times before, but I wanted to have my own take on this. :)

Normally, I would list the characters, but everyone’s going to be in this, so uh- yeah. (Even Piano! I know she isn’t part of the main series, but I wanted to include her in this, too!) (The only exception to this rule, however, is the X characters, but I’ll get to them in a moment.)

However, there is a catch in this AU. Instead of switching everything about themselves completely, they keep their personalities. (To a certain extent…) This means that Bass is still arrogant and vain. And he’s supposed to be a hero. Mega City is screwed. (Not entirely, but they’re gonna need help.)

Bass is going to have to put his ego aside and learn what it means to be selfless. He’s going to learn that it’s okay to make mistakes. Sure, the road is going to be bumpy, and we may have to change the tires out a few times, but we’ll eventually get to our destination! 🫶

I’d like to talk a bit about the characters in the games that are in the middle of everything. Those characters being Proto Man and the Cossacks.

Blues is going to work for Light at the beginning of the story, but then eventually switch to being on no one’s side but his own, similar to how he is in the games. He’s still created by Dr. Light, but I imagine Dr. Wily helped build Blues as well (Archie influence lol).

Everything is going to play out normally with the Cossacks, with Kalinka of course being kidnapped by Dr. Light instead of Wily.

With how the plot is going to go, I have it so that Bass will have to fight Wily’s first built robots first, then Light's, and then it continues normally from there.

For the X games, if I want to, I can continue the story with Zero being the protagonist, and X being the deuteragonist.

I like to think that the capsules still exist for X as a way of Light trying to one-up on Wily, but because Zero is just built different, he doesn’t need any upgrades. I also like to think that Awakened Zero exists, but Wily only made that possible as a way of giving Zero an extra boost of power if he were in danger or something. I’m still deciding whether or not I want it to either work as intended, or have that ability malfunction on him, leading to a possible reason for their fight when X5 happens…

Here’s some out of context stuff that I’ve written so far!

“It is with my pleasure to announce that you have passed both tests, Bass.” He beamed. Bass felt his facial expression change to a smirk. “Of course I did.” The doctor’s eyes widened, and his jaw almost dropped. “Wh-what?” He stuttered. 

When the results of his analysis came through, he felt relief wash over him. Everything was fine. His personality had settled in as it was supposed to. This was just who he was. And Wily didn’t intend on changing him. He wouldn’t make the same mistake he had done when he and— No. No need to bring up the past. Dr. Wily only had time to focus on the present, and the future. And that was what he was going to do.

“And how do you know all of this?! You haven’t even been alive for a good five hours!” Bass questioned bluntly, both impressed yet shocked (and also slightly envious) of her knowledge. “I knew about my name in my files, along with a few other things. I had to inquire about your name, however, because I did not know the meaning of it,” she replied. “I find it interesting how we were both named after opposite music terms when it comes to your middle name, and my first name. I think it’s nice,” she added.

“Good evening, everyone! I hope you all are doing well today. I have prepared a very special presentation for you all that will show what we at Wily Labs have been working on during the past couple of years.” And then, the screen displayed his presentation. A Google Slides presentation. Each slide displayed an image of a robot master in chronological order based off of when they were built, with a description of their function.
