although he is a handsome man and has gentlemanly ways (when he wants), Mihawk has never had a girlfriend/boyfriend: it has always been him, his island, the sword and those monkeys. Probably due to his introverted nature.

so when he started a relationship with you, he was inexperienced.

he didn't know his way around a relationship nor did he know the limits. And you found it quite funny because Mihawk is a man who normally knows how the world goes, he was a man of a vast culture (which is also one of the reasons why you fell in love with him).

precisely because of this inexperience, he sometimes seemed like a puppy to you (which, again, you found funny because he was a scary person in the eyes of others).

he is a possessive man, so when he sees you talking to someone or he sees you being distracted by someone else, he tries to get your attention again by putting his arms around your waist and resting his chin on you shoulder.

and if you don't immediately turn your attention back to him, he gives you a trail of kisses on your neck, a sensitive area for you (and the bastard knows it well).
