Are you ready for some sweater knitting? I am so excited to be going to the New York Sheep and Wool Festival and know that many of you are going as well!🍂 We are having a #nosleeptillrhinebeckkal2021, and are so happy to have @dragon_hoard_yarn cohosting with us! 💖 For this KAL, we will primarily using Instagram, as well as our newsletters, to update you on all things KAL. Make sure you are following both @yarn_cafe_creations and @dragon_hoard_yarn so that you don't miss out on any of the drawings leading up to the festival!🍁 Here are the details: • Knit/crochet a sweater for you to wear at the festival in NY, or to wear during any of the virtual classes you plan on attending during the festival. Please note: you don't have to be participating in the festival at all in order to participate in our KAL, we welcome anyone who would like to join. The KAL will run from July 1 - October 31.🌟 • If you have a WIP that is barely started, go ahead and count that one, but anything more than that just wouldn't be fair to the people starting a brand new project. Use your own judgement, we trust you.💫 • For prizes, please make sure you use the #nosleeptillrhinebeckkal2021 when you post a picture, this is the hashtag that will be used for the drawings. Also, both YCC and DHY will be doing our own drawings and activities around this fun adventure, make sure you’re subscribed!✨ • There will be monthly drawings, as well as a combined grand prize drawing, which will be held on October 31! You don't need to have your sweater finished by the festival date, just make sure it is complete by the drawing date.🎃 •Use whatever yarn and pattern you'd like but if you use YCC yarn, you will receive an extra ticket in the drawing. Also, if you use a YCC sweater pattern, you'll also receive an extra entry.🍏 • For fun and supportive chatter along the way, there will be a Ravelry group available. Thirty years ago today, I went into labor with this girl. She came into the world in 3 1/2 hours, from start to finish, and hasn’t stopped since. Her strong will and stubborn nature was not always a joy to go up against when she was young but I blame it on my own inexperience as a 19 year old mom. She has definitely learned how to use her powers for good and has grown into a strong, talented, and successful woman. I’m so proud of this girl and all she has accomplished in the past 30 years. Most of all, I’m so happy we have overcome the differences we had while she was growing up and the friendship we have created as mother and daughter. ❤️ 🌹 🌷 Today, Trysten has released her new sweater pattern, Autumn Court Sweater, which is a beautiful colorwork design! The Christmas at Hogwarts Advent Calendar is a yearly collaboration between @yarn_cafe_creations and @dragon_hoard_yarn and is an EPIC event!
