Auraugust 2024 Day 5: Safe Harbour

Drakyr hosts a stargazing party. As her loved ones mill about, she feels a swell of belonging and safety among them. Wherever she can find love, she can find safe harbour.

Some extra commentary and a bonus glam shot within the cut:

Her skin tone combined with her dress match the fabric almost eerily well lol. But what can I say? She looks good in Millioncorn Yellow.

This group shot ended up being a lot more ambitious than I thought it might be, but that seems to always be the cause lol 😅Drakyr has many loved ones but I could only fit so many in one place (and my patience started running out.) Just to give a bit more context to what's happening -

Urianger was, of course, first to the telescope so he could help with any final adjustments. Drakyr stepped back to let him have at it - when it comes to star stuff, he knows what he's doing. Alisaie is helping out while Alphinaud inspects the books.

Aymeric and Lakelta, Drakyr's younger sister, are chitchatting. Probably about Lakelta's own upcoming wedding.

Estinien is more interested in spending time with Drakyr than the telescope. He's fairly in tune with Drakyr's little moment, and everyone gathered about and having a good time is a lovely sight; he's happy that she's happy.

Tataru and Krile are arriving. Being as fashion-forward as she is, Tataru's already gotten her hands on some Turali attire. Krile's outfit was picked up along the way during Dawntrail.

I tried to put everyone in some kind of summery outfit. Aymeric and Estinien are still wearing leather pants though. That's Ishgardians for you.

FFXIVPolyamoryWeek 4: Role Change

In which Drakyr guided Estinien and Aymeric in giving Blue Mage a shot - starting with the tried and true classic BLU spell, Flying Sardine.

Estinien was of the mind that while Blue Mage suited Aymeric in style, perhaps less so in...execution.

Oh well, they had fun and looked great doing it.

Auraugust 2024 Day 1: New Dawn

The sun set over the skies of Ishgard. Drakyr smiled. "This time tomorrow, we'll be married." "And this time two days from now, you'll be on a boat to Tural," added Aymeric. "Just to clear the way for our honeymoon," returned Drakyr. "Hopefully, helping Wuk Lamat with the rite of succession won't take long. She was more than happy to host us in return for helping her." Estinien shrugged. "My only concern is getting through the wedding. At least we've ensured there will be plenty of good food there." "Of course. We'll not usher in a new dawn of our lives with anything less," said Drakyr. Aymeric nodded. "Speaking of dawn, we'd best retire - tomorrow will come swiftly." He looked to Drakyr. "I look forward to seeing you dressed as a bride." Estinien's smile indicated that he agreed with the sentiment. "And I look forward to showing you. Good night, then. A new dawn awaits. I love you both."

Drakyr finally married Aymeric and Estinien before heading to Tural. 💙

WolstinienWeek 2024 Day 1 & 2: Holiday and Colour

(Because time is an illusion/better late than never/etc.)

So in one of my FFXIVPolyamWeek posts, I dressed up the polycule as their favourite holidays, and had Estinien as Valenti(o)ne's Day. I went with that in large part because of that one EW moment where Estinien is recognized for having a heart welling with love in the aftermath of the Dragonsong War. But also, I thought of Estinien's own words post-war in which he says that it was the love and companionship of those around him that saved him from truly succumbing to hatred. It was love, both that of friendship and of budding romance, that saved him. Love brought colour and meaning to his life where otherwise there would've only been the monochrome of anger and revenge. (See? I included the second prompt.) So while Estinien is not an outright lovey-dovey schmoosy person, I believe he can appreciate a day dedicated to love in all its forms.

He does find all the hearts and decor a bit much, but he and the polycule typically make their own celebrations, anyway. Here's them doing just that, with Estinien accompanied by his beloved and his best friends (Aymeric and the twins).

Although all three of them are celebrating, Estinien can grab Drakyr for a little extra one-on-one lap time. As a treat. Aymeric thinks they're being sweet.

So do Alphinaud and Alisaie as they arrive on the scene, but Alisaie is still going to be a little jackass about it.

"Come on you two, mind Alphinaud's virgin eyes!"

*Alphinaud's indignant squawking*

Bonus: You get to enjoy Drakyr's Valentione's outfit which I still absolutely adore.

WolmericWeek2024 Day 3: AU

I found a lightsaber mod, and tomorrow is May The Fourth, so I tried my hand at a Star Wars AU battle pose. I improvised for the lack of Jedi robe mods but I think this still looks cool. And Estinien is included this time!

After the events of Shadowbringers, Drakyr would become a Gray Jedi - Light and Dark are what we make of it, there is only the Force.

FFXIVPolyamoryWeek 7: Vacation

I've decided to make the journey to Tural an adventure-honeymoon for Drakyr, Aymeric, and Estinien.

A Dawn Departure... 🌅

Since this is Aymeric's first adventure proper, I thought it fitting to put him in the beginner Elezen top. Drakyr is wearing the beginner Auri gear in a similar vein, since she's starting an all new adventure.

Hopefully, working with this non-canon timeline doesn't turn into extra unnecessary work for me - this is the biggest canon-divergent thing I've ever done. But I want to do it so I'll figure it out somehow.

Looking Back with Pride

WolstinienWeek2024 Day 3: Alternate Universe

I did a The Witcher AU for this prompt last year, and I still like the idea (especially how well Geralt and Estinien mesh). So I'm revisiting it again - now with uhh *looks at smudged writing on hand* Ayskel! Gestinien's best friend and Yenkyr's other paramour, whose handsome face is marred with a terrible scar.

Winters in Kaer Ishgard are hard, but a roaring fire and good company will see them through.

Not that other challenges don't arise. Whatever comes, they have each other's backs.

I can't remember the last time I did so much photoshopping on a gpose. I learned a fair bit and the Eskel-esque scar came out pretty decently. :D I wanted a cleaner, more book!Eskel scar while still keeping the notch in his lip from The Witcher 3.

Also it wouldn't be a holiday with Drakyr if she didn't include her paramours, would it? Since lifting Drakyr up for their Starlight pose worked so well, they tried it again. And hey, they got a decent little photo after a little giggling among each other.

With Drakyr in such an uplifting shirt, and Aymeric and Estinien's height over her...gazes are going to wander. Aymeric tries to be a gentleman about it, but he's not immune to Dirndl's bodice, either. Estinien is a lot less subtle.
