So many students tell me that they love my patternmaking and draping classes because it takes away the fear ...the fight or flight freeze that comes over them when they think they are suddenly in the technical realm and can’t feel free, fun,curious,motivated,playful and expressive in fashion when they are working this way. Patternmaking, draping, and Sewing are also forms of play, forms of expression, forms of creativity! Somewhere along the line we get the impression that these realms are cold, sterile, and lifeless, or beyond our ability to comprehend. it just isn’t true!
