@softest-punk Ok! Here it is xD my best attempt at an 80’s Avon cover (not quite a bodice ripper but I hope it suffices—I would have done a bodice ripper but had to put Orpheus in there too the sweetie and he rather swerved that mood xD )

I tried to incorporate as many visuals as you’d already posted. The suits, the earrings, the settee. And a bit of the Jane Austen cover!

I tried to give it all a vintage/worn sort of feel, like it was a well loved paperback that had been read many times over, just as the actual fic has been :) Thank you for sharing such a beautiful story with all of us!!!

Dreamling Bingo WIP - Alpha/Beta

All righty friends, since the wonderful folks at @dreamlingbingo are letting us submit snippets and previews for our squares, I'm going to be posted a few snippets from my in-progress squares!

This Fill is from the sequel to A Dream for A Viscount, and will be used for Square A2: Alpha/Beta relationship.

“It is no hardship, Lord Gadling,” Gault says, “to choose your mate each and every single day. And I will always choose Lucienne, regardless of her secondary gender.”

“But are you not concerned?” Dream asks. “That someday, some…any omega could go into heat and trigger your rut?”

“That is what rut suppressants are for,” Gault replies. “You should know how those work, seeing as you are utilizing a similar medicine yourself.”

“Excuse me?!” Dream exclaims, suddenly on the defensive. He had been so careful to conceal his pills, how could she have found them? “How dare you insinuate—”

“Peace, little lordling,” Gault replies, grinning. “Where do you think your husband acquired the medicine in the first place?”

Dream’s eyes widen in shock as he recalls his previous conversations with Hob about how he had acquired Dream’s heat suppressants. Hob had only told him he had acquired them from a doctor with more modern views on gender. Looking between Lucienne and Gault, he now realizes how exactly she acquired those modern views, and how those views may have influenced his husband's views in turn.

“My apologies,” Dream says, bowing his head. “For all that I like to think I am more open-minded and progressive in my views, I still have much to learn.”

“It is quite all right, Lord Gadling,” Lucienne interjects. “Your concerns are ones I have had for myself. But Gault has proven me wrong over and over in the last twenty years,” she adds, smiling at her lover. Dream finds himself smiling as well.

“I am glad to hear that,” he replies. “I only wish there were more couples like you in society.”

“The world is changing,” Lucienne says. “Look outside high society and you'll find not only Alphas mating with Betas, but also Beta & Omega relationships, Alpha & Alpha partnerships, and some omegas have even chosen to mate amongst themselves.”

🥰👂‍ We Could Be So Good (Cat Sebastian, author; Joel Leslie, narrator) - imma just quote TJ Alexander's review bc they're a great writer and better than me with words: "It's late 1950s New York City, and two reporters for a liberal pinko newspaper are falling in love with each other. Nick and Andy are exquisite. The vibes are immaculate. And for those of us who are wary of reading about queer historicals because we’ve all read That Type of Story Where Things End Terribly: this is not that. And thank fuck." Cat continues her incredible streak of 'low angst, mostly vibes' which I absolutely adore.

😍 Paper Things (saltandanchor) - 73K, Inception Pretty Woman AU - the PW is really just the initial set up for this incredible fic, loved loved loved it even tho I know nothing about inception except that JGL & TH had insane chemistry [this fic was begun 10.5 years ago and the author recently finished it after an 8 yr hiatus!!!! so never give up hope!]
