Like Mother, Like Daughter

As the sky darkened, the streets of Auradon began to calm from the normal hustle and bustle of day activities. Silence began befalling the empty halls of Beast Castle as servants said their final goodbyes of the night before heading home. Sitting down at her desk Mal, the purple haired queen of Auradon, stared down at the pile of papers Ben had needed here signatures on. It was hard to believe that now with the barrier down so much more was needing attention. Emerald hues shifted to the pictures at the side of the sturdy oak desk, there had been little word of her mother since she had been freed along with the other villains and Mal wasn't sure whether that was something good or something that should worry her.

"I bet you're having more fun than I am, mom."

Mal muttered, reaching over and picking up the picture she had of her mother while shaking her head. She had almost daily updates from her father but it was almost a rare occurrence to hear from Maleficent. A small sigh escaped from plush rosy lips as the purple haired woman placed the picture down into it's place and began to try and tackle the immense pile of work she would most likely need the entire night to complete.

A coffee is gently slid across the bar over to where he sat. Hazel hues glance at the man, and she smirks. "Just as you like it."

The book and coffee shop were bustling with customers today. Belle hardly had a minute to herself since it opened early in the morning but her father's voice echoed in her head: "busy is good". It was only when Adam walked into the place did she make time to focus on him and let her employees handle the rest for the time being.

"When you come here long enough, orders become a little easier to remember after a while." Belle's leaning her elbows on the countertop and smiling warmly. "It's good to see you again. Got anything happening today?"

It felt as though she'd only just got all her stuff unpacked and her room set up ... but now they had to leave? Gabriella followed her father into his study as she continued to voice her complaints, "I like it here in Forks. I get to spend more time with you guys out when it's cloudy. I don't want to leave."

As leader, she knew her responsibilities, one of them being having full faith in her team. Which she did...on the battlefield. No--that sounded wrong, didn't it? On and off the battlefield.

But the task at hand right now seemed almost impossible. Loomed over both of them now that Minako was a witness. She could help...she wasn't that bad of a cook purposefully ignoring the time she cooked for Rei and only made her feel worse. Nurse Minako was a menace. "Baked goods for the entire school by tomorrow? You'll be up all night."

Apparently, those things helped her in the end, it was one of the reasons why she had a line of suitors before the door even opened. She was travelling to King’s Landing to meet him for the first time before they are to wed, before they announce the king’s betrothals. Being guided by the Hand, they were introduced in the gardens. “ Your Grace, it’s a pleasure to meet you. ” She gave the proper curtsy and then looked back up to him.

"dean.." his name falling like it had once before, when they'd been in a similar situation but hell she'd been a lot more dead then ... for sure. this time she wasn't so sure what to say about it.

"But I am merciful and believe in second chances, if the culprit is deemed worthy of it."
