hannah's eyes flicked up from the clipboard of paperwork on her lap before she reached into a glass bowl of treats on the counter. "here ya go, lola. freebie for the road. nice and meaty." she placed it in front of the dog and almost chuckled at zane's offer. men made her hobby way too easy. "are you serious?" hannah stood up to face him, leaning against the counter.

the woman had a dark aura around her, and zane couldn't decide if he liked it or not. "really? well that's good." he said with a smile as he pet his dog. "oh, okay." zane said as he retracted his hand, she was weird. but he also kind of liked it. zane couldn't tell if she was joking or not, but he still let out a laugh. "right, i won't make a habit out of it." zane found himself standing there, even though he should probably be leaving, still he found himself not wanting to leave. "how about i make it up to you? buy you dinner?" he suggested, he didn't know where it came from, but there was something intriguing about hannah, like she was hiding something and he wanted to know what.

"i've got too many cop stories to count. best one was when i got away with pretending to be fbi right after a job in a small town. i couldn't get out of the building until the last minute and it was already crawling with feds. flashed a fake badge that i carry and they bought it." tinsley nodded at the bartender when he passed back their drinks and tilted her head back to take a long sip. "how long have you been in the game?"

"Ok, very hot. But only some people can work the asshole thing and make it attractive. He ain't one in my book, but to each their own." Danny gave a small shrug. "He's good at what he does, though. Don't say that often, but that's kinda why I took his word on you." Smirking, he turned to the bartender and requested a refill for each of them on his tab. "Oh, a fair few. Had some power-hungry cop put me in the back of his car and take me on a joy-ride once. I swear, my face was busted and that? That's a goddamn travesty."

ariana nodded at his response, fingertips brushing over her exposed throat. "nice to meet you, arthur." not feeling like taking the bus back home feeling like this, she silently considered his offer. it would give her time to relax and calm her nerves. he seemed harmless enough. "yeah, that sounds good actually. well, as long as they have mint chocolate chip. that's my go to."

He didn't care if she thought it was necessary, she was shaken he wasn't just going to leave her here on the beach. "Ari, I'm Arthur," he said softly, "I'm glad I saw you out there." She'd been too far out for anyone to help her but him. "It'll hurt for a few days but, you'll be okay," he assured her. "There's a shop not far that has some good ice cream, that could help your throat."

"it's that smart mouth that gets you in trouble, red. i've told you before and you never listen." arden loomed over rae's form and glided her thumb across her plump bottom lip. grip on her lithe wrists tightening, "what do you want me to do about it? can't decide what would be appropriate. s'hard to think straight when you're laying under me lookin' all cute and helpless and shit."

it hadn't taken long into their relationship for the redhead to figure out what exactly made the other tick, knowing that arden seemingly love to dole out punishments—and rae loved to receive them. "exactly what i wanted. now what are you gonna do about it?"

"pssh, got that fuckin' right." antonia murmured with a pop of her bubble gum. she was no stranger to dealing with seedy male clientele at work and in general, but didn't want to have eyes in the back of her head for once. "shit, really?" her eyes lit up. "cool. we can take my car, sight see on the way, stay in little motels. it'll be an adventure. up for taking off this weekend? i know it's soon, but i wanna get out of here a.s.a.p."

"me too." aurora replied through a short gasp, nipples going firm under his touch. her body relaxed against him as his hand moved closer to the soft cotton barrier that was almost damp. "fuck." aurora whispered and lightly chuckled, wondering how atlas could make her defenses melt away so easily. there was something about him that made her absolutely feral. "anything in particular you were thinking about me?"

he smirks at her playful scolding. oh his mind could go way deeper into that gutter. but he lets his hands do that instead. dipping beneath her waistband, his fingers find solace against far softer and more sensitive skin. "good," he purrs into her ear, "you're right where i want you to be too." while one hand works down between her thighs, his other hand busies himself with underneath her shirt, squeezing gently and feeling her reaction to his touch. "i've been thinkin' about you all day."

did she ever feel that! devon made a point not to forget that she started out as a human. becoming a werewolf hadn't changed her personality or moral compass. she couldn't allow that. She laughs at the question. " Yeah I know right. I knew him since back when we're in position limbo. His mom was big in the community like she used to come here and work like Mr heyward and keep things good for the little wolves. She's the reason his dad even bought the place it almost shut down "

" Whatever you say. " He flashes a toothy grin and then sniffs the air with her and sighs happily. " I dunno how you can forget i swear i pass by this place on Wednesday and it's like the holy goddamn spirit guides me inside from the smell. " He sighs again then puts on his shoes and stands up leaving her pillow on his purposely.

" C'mon flirt lets go play so i can kick your ass. " He shoves his hands in his pockets going to the door to wait for her.

"not gonna lie, i'm a big fan of surprises. especially when they're pretty and shiny." jenna beamed and brushed a finger over the diamond bracelet on her wrist. another unexpected gift from ezra. she wore it almost every day. she blushed when his eyes twinkled with pride. shaking her head, "i'm the stubborn one - okay." jenna laughed with him and her expression softened. she caressed his cheek affectionately. "i know and i love that you do, but it's more than that. i've noticed the way you look at me. the way that you open doors for me, always have a hand on the small of my back if we're in a public place or in a crowd, move hair out of my face. or am i reading too much into it?"

"i know you didn't, you didn't need to ask for any of it. and i know you have plenty to buy yourself things but i still tend to like the look on your face when you get a gift that you didn't expect" he had a charm in the way he looked at the blonde. "you're not great at it" he said laughing as he recalled some of the shitty men she had brought around over the years. "listen, me and you might argue because you're a stubborn pain in the ass, we might bicker and yell, there's alot of things we might do. but i will never not be protecting you. i've got your back jenna, that's forever".
