Resus RP #1 / Drowning
You come home from work, and the flat is eerily silent. You call my name, with no response. You don't think much of it until you push open the door to the bathroom to wash your hands and find me submerged in the tub, still and lifeless.
What are you gonna do?
(You can be my partner, my roommate or friend)

hot resus imagines.
straddling someone's hips, placing both my palms on either side of their sternum, my hands wrapped around their rib, and doing compressions that way.
similar position, but straying your palms just a bit to the left, compressing directly over the heart.
placing your resusee on their stomach, compressing just over the center of their back, pushing forwards a bit, especially on a drowning victim, getting that fluid out of their lungs.
giving the heimlich to a drowning victim, spraying frothy spittle from their mouth as you force it from their lungs.
belly compressions, having to give a compression and then immediately clear their airway, shoving fingers into their limp mouth.
mouth to mouth from the straddling position, your whole body pressed to theirs.
giving mouth to mouth while they lay against your chest, their head on your shoulder.
so fucking hot.

Mermaid Hunter's Lesson
The ocean’s depths concealed a multitude of secrets. Among them, a group of enchanting mermaids. Their iridescent tails shimmered in the oceanic twilight, drawing attention away from their fleshy halves.
Hiding amidst a city that looks like underwater ruins, they lived their lives in harmony for the most part. However, their tranquility was being threatened by an unexpected hunter— a researcher’s lapdog named Elina. Her lean and athletic form trained by years in the ocean, despite not being native, she was a force to be reckoned with.
On this day, the hunter was hot on the mermaids’ trail; the propellers attached to her back like wings pushing her through the aquatic labyrinth swiftly. Despite lacking fins, she was fast and agile, imposing a game of cat and mouse upon the inhabitants of the sea with her dart gun.
However, the chase had taken a toll on the mermaids, who tried as hard as they could to defend themselves by pretending to not exist. Among the mermaids was Seraphina, a mermaid with long, flowing, purple hair. The most daring of them all, a protector of her people. Her emerald eyes reflected a plan, honing in on the two clasps holding the helmet in place. She moved with the stealth and grace of a marine predator as she approached the hunter from behind. With a swift motion, Seraphina reached out and sliced at the straps of the clasps with her clawed fingernails, then tore the helmet from the woman’s head.
A gush of tiny bubbles erupted around them as the woman gasped in surprise. Her world was muted, the hum of her suit’s engine and her own steady breathing replaced by the solemn, haunting quiet of the deep ocean around her head. Panic blossomed on her face while her blonde hair spread out in the water, her eyes widened as the realization set in. She attempted to ascend, to break free from the depths and gulp down the sweet, saving air from above.
But the mermaids rushed to her. One of them, a lithe creature with a tail as purple as twilight, shot forward and held the woman’s arms behind her in an embrace as intimate as it was malicious. The hunter struggled, her desperate thrashes echoing silent turmoil into the sea. The mermaid’s strong arms bound her.
Another mermaid swam forward, her dark eyes meeting the woman’s. Her slender fingers reached toward the zipper of Elina's swimming suit, it yielded to her pull. The fabric parted, revealing the bare skin underneath.
The contour of the hunter's ribs, the curve of her breasts, the subtle play of muscles under the skin. The hunter's chest was heaving, a futile attempt to draw breath from a source that no longer existed.
The mermaid reached out, her fingers tracing the lines of her captive's body. Her face was expressionless, her eyes absorbing every detail, every nuance. It was as if the creature could see Elina's lungs clinging desperately to the precious air that remained trapped within, huddling to the warmth of her pounding heart. The mermaid's arms wrapped around the hunter, pressing their bodies together. Elina could feel the strong beat of the mermaid’s heart against her chest as a dark plan expressed itself in her eyes. She could see a terrifying, meticulous thought brewing but she was helpless to do anything other than find out in its unfolding.
And then, the final act of their underwater ballet commenced. The mermaid leaned in closer, her mouth covering the woman’s with an unsettling tenderness, tongue slipping between her clenched teeth. A gasp, a struggle, but it was futile. The mermaid’s gills billowed, and she began to pull, to drain the very life-giving air from Elina’s lungs. It was a violation unlike anything she had ever experienced, a theft of the very essence of life itself. The mermaid’s eyes remained open, watching her face as it contorted in desperation and agony. There was no malice in her gaze, only an intense study and a dark satisfaction. The hunter’s lungs contracted, the vacuum increasing with each passing moment, a relentless force that seemed to reach into her very soul.
Those gentle arms squeezed around her chest, tens of the creatures gathered around to watch her slow and deliberate torment. It was as if the mermaid was tasting her fear, savoring her suffering, getting back at her for every moment she spent in the ocean. A vast emptiness that spread through her body, consuming her from the inside.
Elina felt her body give in, her futile struggles becoming slow and heavy as a flurry of bubbles stolen from her lungs passed through the creature's gills and drifted toward the surface. Her vision blurred, her thoughts scattered, her very existence narrowing down to the sensation of the mermaid’s mouth on hers, her helpless little heart’s frantic march towards oblivion into the arms of an unforgiving creature, and in the presence of many more. The hunter’s world dimmed to blackness for a moment... Then the feeling of those cruel, uncaring lips returned. As if the punishment had continued in the afterlife... they felt more vivid. The pressure on her chest felt rhythmic and forceful, then gentle, as if a head was placed upon her chest... then it all disappeared. A sudden return to consciousness was violent, filled with confusion and disorientation. Elina’s lungs spasmed, a relentless cough forcing water from her system as she heaved on the shore. Her mind was a tumultuous whirlpool, unable to grasp the reality of her survival.
The water around her legs receded with each wave. Her eyes, clouded with pain and disbelief, sought to make sense of her surroundings. The feeling of sand under her hands and the salty sting of the sea breeze seemed surreal.
A movement in the sand caught her eye, a shadow darting towards the ocean. But it was gone before she could focus, leaving her only with the haunting sound of retreating waves. An uncanny chill crawled up her spine, a realization that something inexplicable had occurred, something far beyond her comprehension.
She staggered to her feet, her body aching and her mind foggy. Something felt different, a sharp stinging of her abdomen. Glancing down, she gasped at the sight of her belly. There, etched in raw, reddened flesh, were words that sent a jolt of terror through her very soul: “Stay out.”
The meaning was clear, a warning. A message from the depths, from the creatures she had sought to hunt.
As Elina staggered away from the beach, her mind replayed the horrifying experience, the faces of the mermaids etched into her nightmares.
She heeded the warning. The ocean, once a realm of fascination and conquest, had become a forbidden territory.

I just want to be found in the depths of the ocean by a beautiful mer-person, freshly drowned and floating. Them taking one look at me and knowing there’s no breath in me and must take me to the surface right away.
I just want them to carefully lay me on the sand of the shore with my bottom half still caressed by the water, grab my shoulders and shake me a bit, calling out to me, addressing me simply as “Human!” as they notice water trickle down from the side of my mouth.
I just want them to sit me up against their frame and press slowly on my stomach as they watch the water flow more freely from my lips. Then cupping my head in their hands to look at me for any sign of change.
I just want them to cover my mouth with theirs as they continue to hold me in their arms, blowing air into me in long breaths, over and over, not doing it properly as humans do but enough to give me a chance at holding onto life.
I just want to hear them plead “Breathe human” from the seams of the veil while they lay me on the sand and press on my chest with one hand as the other holds my head steady from the movements of my heart being pumped into submission.
I just want to see them fight for my fragile human life and see their face light up as I weakly cough up more water and finally breathe, stroking my wet hair and watching my chest rise and fall rapidly in fascination. Waiting for me to slip into unconsciousness to swim me to a safer location where I could be found and cared for.

It's Okay To Cry (Bondi Rescue)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prompt: Harrison, who is usually not the type to show negative emotion, breaks down in front of Maxi after a resus gone wrong.
Third Person POV Harrison saw members of the public dragging a man from the water. He leapt from the Rhino, racing over and shouting in his radio, "Rhino to Central, a man's been pulled from the water, I need the defib!" He grabbed the man's shoulders, helping the two men holding him place him on the dry sand, beginning compressions. He counted under his breath, trying to hope that he could get him back. Whippet was suddenly next to him, Deano behind him. "Get to 30 and Deano will take over and I'll put the defib on." Whippet said. "25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30." Harrison removed his hands, and Whippet and Deano set the defib up, turning the machine on. The man wasn't breathing, wasn't moving, and Harrison started getting a sick feeling as they tried to find a rhythm and couldn't. The EMTs were just coming down Campbell Parade. "Do not touch the patient," The machine said, and Deano having been doing compressions, and Whippet, keeping the guy steady, moved their hands, pausing.
"No rhythm detected." Deano swore, resuming compressions as Whippet got the machine started again. Again it said not to touch the patient, and Deano and Whippet moved. It's already been five minutes.
"No rhythm detected." Deano sat back. "We have to call it." Harrison felt his world stop moving. "No. No, no, he..." He panted, sitting on his knees and heels. The EMTs arrived then, and Deano passed the man's body to them. Harrison was numb. He's dealt with a few resuses before, and sometimes, they didn't make it, but it was still hard. He blinked, staring at the sand, a deep imprint where the boy had been. He didn't hear the bustle of the crowd that had formed disappearing, didn't hear Deano packing away the defib. Whippet touched his arm. "Come on." He was silent on the way to the Tower, silent when he entered. He was pretty sure he was...what's the word? Dissociating? Something like that. Everything felt numb and distant, like he was underwater and too tired to reach the surface. Tears burned his eyes, and he struggled to keep them back. He sat at the desk, hearing faint words, but not catching the meaning. Maxi was suddenly there, grabbing Harrison's hands, rubbing his thumbs along his palms. "It's okay to cry, Hutz. None of is will judge you." And Harrison bawled, like a little kid, wishing he could've saved the man, horrified that he couldn't. Maxi wrapped him in a hug, whispering things that Hutz couldn't hear over his own sobs.
Someone put a hand on his back, and he heard Chappo's voice. "Shift's almost over, Hoppo said to just take him home." "Okay," Maxi said, standing and pulling Harrison up.
The team was still gathered, and they looked at Hutz soflty. "Hey." Whippet touched his arm as he passed. "It's oaky. We can't save everyone, okay?" "Kay." Hutz said. "Love you, Hutzy!" Jethro shouted from the locker room. "Love you."
As Hutz sat in the car, headed home, he thought, I'm not alone. And Whippet's right. We can't save everyone. But I will be better.

I was feeling extra needy tonight so I wrote a lil story for me. I had the idea for an all day event with multiple codes, this was the first one.
Sh found me in the bathtub, naked and still, she didn’t realize I’d drowned right away, only after a few moments did she realize I was not coming to the surface for air.
The water loudly splashed around me as she plunged her arms into the tub, hooked them under my arms, pulling my graying body from the tub, my torso flopping over lifelessly as she moves her arms down around my torso and heaves her fist up into my sternum, I fold over lifeless as water rushes out of my lungs and onto the floor, she’s yelling now “baby you gotta wake up for me” as my limp body crumples to the floor.
She calls 911 and tries not to panic as she tells the operator she needs an ambulance because her wife drowned. She starts to panic mode as she rolls me onto my back and sees my blueing lips reporting to the operator that I am not breathing and interlocking her hands in between my breasts and pump hard and fast counting to the operator as she went, water and mucus gushing out of my mouth as she pounds and counts over and over all the way to 30. The woman on the phone tells her to roll me to my side and wipe the mucus out if my mouth, she notices how purple my face is turning and starts to panic but the operator calms her down enough to tell her to tilt my head back, squeeze my nose shut, seal her mouth over mine and breath deep into me until my chest rises. She does this three times but I’m still not taking in air on my own, the operator tells her to continue compressions and she pounds harder than before, breaking a rib as she forces a sick huff out of my mouth, forcing the oxygen she just gave me through my bloodstream. She gets to thirty again and gives me two more deep breaths. Without being told she gets back into my chest and continues her pounding, I keep trying but I can’t take in air, “that’s it baby breathe” she says as she tilts my head back again to force more air into me, I feel the air catch up with my gasps and I am able to take in air on my own. I gasp loudly as my burning lungs heave in my chest. “That’s it! She’s breathing.!” The operator tells her to roll me on my side so I can breathe easier. I am so weak I can’t move, just desperately try to heave in air. She leans down and covers my mouth with hers and forces hot damp air into me. Someone places an oxygen mask over my face and start sucking in high flow oxygen, my mind clears slightly and I can open my eyes but move nothing else.
The paramedics pull my wife away and start attaching heart monitor leads all over my torso. They roll me onto a stretcher and I feel an iv being put into my arm, my mind clears slightly more and I become aware of the ache in my chest from my wife’s rounds of CPR and how exposed my naked body is. The paramedics cover me with a blanket and my wife comes to me, she has tears in her eyes as she tells me she will be right behind the ambulance and will meet me at the hospital. I try to comfort her but I am still too weak. I am loaded into the back of an ambulance and the doors close as a paramedic radios my stats into the ER. Female, 30’s, drowned, reviviré, minimally responsive, chaotic heart rate, possible heart attack, 35 minutes out.

“No. NO!” Dave yelled as he dropped everything and ran to the dock where he was just in time to witness his partner Kris plummet to the water like dead weight.
She was an extremely heavy sleepwalker. Being doused by water would not even wake her up, and measures were set in place so that this particular scenario wouldn’t happen. It’s not supposed to happen. Where was Elena? Why did Kris head to bed so early? She never does that before he comes home from work, goddamnit. They should’ve never moved next to a fucking lake.
Frantically stripping off his work blazer, he quickly scanned the spot in the water where Kris went down, the water still bobbing slightly and rippling in every direction. In he dove.
The water, much colder than he expected it to be, was nearly pitch black, and all he had in this moment was the reliance of feeling. Luckily the spot he dove in was the exact place his sleeping partner was sinking, all he had to do was reach out his hands-she should be there. It took a second longer than he’d hoped but his fingertips finally felt the soft strands of Kris’ floating hair…then her face…then her torso, which he wrapped his arm around and sprang upward.
Breaking through the surface, he took in a massive gulp of air, though it hurt his lungs due to the cold. Kris was unmoving in his arms. He wasted no time in swimming to the lake’s edge with one hand, doing his best to keep Kris’ head above the water.
Reaching the grassy edge, Dave paused for a few seconds, catching his breath and finding the strength to drag Kris fully onto the flat grass.
“KRIS,” he yelled to her, shaking her shoulders, “OPEN YOUR EYES! KRIS!”
He didn’t know how long she was under, perhaps a minute or two. But he knew full well that she would’ve taken in water right away in an unconscious state.
He opened her mouth with shaking hands, not knowing, or caring really, if it was from the cold or adrenaline. A small stream of water fell from the side of her lips. He turned her head all the way to the side to let as much out as possible. Turning her head to face him again, he noticed her skin paling by the second.
He brought his ear to her parted lips and waited. Her chest wasn’t rising, he felt nothing on his cheek. There was no breath.
Parting her lips more and pinching her nose, he inhaled deeply and brought his mouth over hers, breathing hard until all his air left him. He pulled away and placed his fingers on her neck. A very faint and thready pulse could be felt. It gave him hope but he knew it wasn’t enough to give the body the blood flow it needed.
“Breathe for me, Kris,” he whispered as he bent down to give her another breath. He watched her chest rise out of the corner of his eye and watched it fall with no return as he pulled away. Immediately he went to working her chest.
One hand over the other in between her breasts he pushed, hard and steady, over and over, breathing out huffs of air with each compression. “C’mon.”
After 30 he stopped, placing his ear onto her soaking chest, the sheer fabric of her night shirt barely getting in the way of his listening. To his relief, he heard her pulse stronger this time, and sat up to check the pulse point on her neck, which felt stronger there as well.
She still wasn’t breathing. And in the middle of giving Kris a breath he heard a voice cut through the air behind him.
“Oh my god!!! Oh my god what happened?!?!?” Elena’s yell rang as she desperately ran toward the scene.
“Call an ambulance and get some towels, NOW. She’s not breathing,” Dave yelled before Elena fully reached them. What he said made her turn on her heals rapidly and run inside.
He returned his attention to Kris and blew hard into her mouth once more. Puling away, he moved one hand to her forehead as he bent his ear to her lips. He closed his eyes, listening, waiting. Nothing.
But he saw something when he opened his eyes. Her hand…it moved. Did it? Yes. And it was moving again. It jerked. She was fighting.
He looked at her face and though her eyes were still closed, her mouth was moving just slightly, as if trying to take in air but her lungs were not getting the signals to expand.
“Breathe,” he said as he dove for her mouth to give her the aid she needed. He breathed hard and then pulled away again. Her head jerked forward and she released a strained croak, still visibly trying to inhale on her own but being unable to.
“That’s it! Give me a breath, Kris, c’mon,” Dave said as he rubbed his knuckles on her sternum and breathed into her lungs once more.
He finally heard that beautiful sound. Kris gave a short exhale and then one long gasp. Her lungs expanding on their own while simultaneously expelling more water that forced its way out of her mouth. Her coughing and gasping was music to his ears.
His relief, though, quickly shifted to anger in wanting to know how. the hell. this could have happened.
………………………………………………
Just a lil something, was in the mood to drag someone out of the water tonight 👀
