Hi there 🌱 I hope you are doing well. My name is Naser, and I’m from Gaza. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, but I wanted to share a piece of my story — because right now, it’s the only way I know to try and survive.

This war has changed everything. I lost my mother and my sister. Our home is gone. What used to be a normal life — school, family meals, laughter — has been replaced by fear, rubble, and silence.

Now, I’m displaced with my three younger brothers. I’ve become their protector, their parent, their hope. We sleep side by side and I try to make them feel safe, even when I’m scared too.

We are trying to raise funds to rebuild our lives — to find a safe place, to go back to school, to have something to believe in again. I dream of going to university. My brothers have their own dreams too — of being a doctor, an engineer, just being kids again.

god thats so real!! i know there are like... checklist apps? there was one app i really liked where you raised a little bird based off what you did that day. i think it was called finch? you could add your meds to that ^^

Disabled system (specifically with a variable/episodic disability) culture is: Some Alter: "huh, wait we have [insert symptom] now?" Me: "We've had it for years?" Them: "What do you mean? The times I've fronted, I haven't felt that way." Me: "... are you sure your fronting didn't happen to correspond with when we didn't feel this way?" Them: "oh, very true....... Anyways this sucks, I'm leaving!" Me: ಠ_ಠ Rinse and repeat any time something happens with this body.

oh yeah i get this!! i think its really funny when people just piss off instead of being anywhere near our pain holders /lh

do you also know if it's normal to feel like you don't count as crippled because you dont ALWAYS need mobility aid?? I have severe chronic pain and H-EDS and struggle to walk without aid a lot, but I have good weeks where I can and ive been told I dont count as disabled because of it. It's made me doubt the validity of my disability a LOT

im not sure about "normal", because as they say, the baseline should be no pain and no mental health issues, BUT! it IS very common and you are valid for it!

we struggle with this often when we need to use the disable bathrooms in public and dont have our cane or our wheelchair. we also struggle with it when our cane is making things worse, so we opt to just fold it up and carry it. at the end of the day, no ones comfort OR opinion but your own matters when it comes to be disabled! you arent suddenly abled because youre having a good-pain week.

Worse is that its specific for our chest pain/breathing issues and im sourced from a war adjacent media where gassing was a thing 😭

if it helps, following your brains logic with alter sources can be really cool! chest pain is no fun, we know first hand, but on a scientific level, its very cool that a brain can see someone such as you/your source and put them in a position to deal with something theyd be "used to" :D we just think its neat!

Physically disabled system culture is not realising you're hypermobile because you usually only have non-human alters fronting and they have no idea how far human bodies are meant to bend

THIS IS SOMETHING WE CAN RELATE TO!! our partner can too! one of our partner's frequent fronters is someone with extra limbs that dont have bones (draw your own conclusions about what they are /lh /nx) and he will put us in "jail", using their arms as a stand in for his extra limbs. our partner's arms bend VERY weirdly when he is in front /lh

all asks have been queued and two have been posted! i will say i did delete some older ones that were encouragement due to hate we were getting at the time because id like to move on ^^ its still just as appreciated though!

Disabled system culture is I just had a doctor's appointment and had to bring a list (amnesia is great) and there was so much on the list that my doctor gave me 2 more appointments so we can address everything-

And now I need to get my blood drawn so I know a little is gonna front and try to punch a nurse again (only reason we don't know if we're anemic or not for sure is cuz when we got our blood drawn for tests, it got cut short by a little punching a nurse-)

oh wow!! im really glad you had a list though! i find keeping a health journal and updated list can be very beneficial :)

our current PC doctor seems to be listening to us a little better of late and we have a doctors appointment coming up soon to see if we can do some evaluations for MS before going into an MRI. good luck with the blood drawls!

hey guys!! just wanted to let you know we will actually be back soon! we have been in a very severe life dip (moving three times, insane life events, having to get restraining orders on people, yknow, the usual /lh) but we and our partner are in safe situations for now so we can come back soon!! im gonna work on queueing asks today :) !!

oughhhh we are so lightheaded at work :( weve eaten AND drank water. i cannot remember if we took our meds or not but i dont think we did…? so it might be that- they dont usually effect us this bad though, we usually just get a headache
