The new 2023 Ducati Monster SP scores fully adjustable Öhlins suspension with a sportier calibration than its siblings. Another upgrade is the fitment of Brembo Stylema calipers along aluminium flanges for the 320 mm front brake discs (0.5 kg lighter than the Monster equipment). The electronics see a general recalibration of all the Riding Modes, and therefore of all the electronic controls, to make the most of the changes made to the chassis, and the arrival of the new Riding Mode Wet, designed to offer greater safety on the bikes on wet surfaces. Standard equipment includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control, all adjustable to various levels of intervention. New Black on Black Livery for the Panigale V2: when boldness meets performance. A refined combination of sportiness and elegance, the Panigale V2 moto compact transmits power at first sight. The super sports bike from Borgo Panigale is ready to give track riding enthusiasts unique emotions, thanks to its high performance, the result of intense research by Ducati technicians. The Panigale V2, characterised by compact and muscular lines, is equipped with sophisticated electronics, designed to let the rider exploit its performance in total safety. The true sports bike DNA is also confirmed by the new standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres.

For 2024, Ducati updates the colour range of the Panigale V2 with a new Black on Black Livery, which accompanies the classic Ducati Red. The new livery enhances the bold character of the Panigale V2. The predominance of dark matt grey is intercut with the presence of glossy black elements, for a refined final combination. The livery is completed by the Panigale V2 logo and the red details on the tank, fairings and wheels. Another new feature introduced by the Black on Black Livery is the saddle, with renewed graphics and materials. The Panigale V2 is a muscular but compact bike, with essential design and decisive profiles which transmit power without losing the typical elegance of Ducati sports bikes. The surfaces of the bike, tailored around the Monocoque frame, highlight the shapes of the Superquadro twin-cylinder, while the front is dominated by the two air intakes that integrate the full-LED headlamp. The "double layer" fairing - which sees a main fairing extending upwards to ideally embrace the tank and a secondary one with the function of an air extractor - offers the typical essentiality of Ducati sports bikes, emphasising elegance and uniqueness.

A sporty style that integrates fully with the power expressed by the Panigale V2 engine, the 955 cc Superquadro twin-cylinder. Euro 5 approved, the Superquadro is as enjoyable to ride on the road as it is powerful and responsive on the track, with its 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and a torque value of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Safety and total bike control are always guaranteed by the electronic equipment of the Panigale V2, based on the use of the 6-axis inertial platform. The electronic package includes ABS Cornering EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2 and finally Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, which helps the rider to optimise the stability of his or her Ducati in extreme cornering conditions. Together with the celebratory Panigale V2 Bayliss, the Panigale V2 is the only twin-cylinder in Ducati's Panigale range. Every Ducatista can make their Panigale V2 unique thanks to a wide range of accessories in the "Configurator" section  of the Ducati.com website, where all the components of the Sport package are available, designed to enhance the racing spirit of the bike. Es el campeón que habla en pista. El '1' ganó la carrera larga tras aprender del Sprint, al ser agresivo al inicio y gestionar después JAIME MARTÍN Lusail "Yo trabajo en silencio". Con una sonrisa burlona y estas simples palabras resumía Pecco Bagnaia cómo había pasado del cuarto lugar del Sprint, sufriendo, a imponerse en la carrera larga de MotoGP en Qatar. No es impostura, es su forma de ser: todo corrección, todo mesura, todo tranquilidad... todo inteligencia. Así ha ganado sus dos títulos en la clase reina -y el de Moto2, que algunos olvidan- y así comenzó el ataque a su cuarto entorchado en un 'revival' de lo que hacía en 2023: dar la vuelta a ciertas pruebas cortas que se le atragantaron para vencer cuando más puntos se otorgan. Porque el '1' ganó la carrera en la primera vuelta, en concreto en las tres primeras curvas: Era quinto en parrilla, pero al partir, casi se toca con Aleix Espargaró. Tuvo que irse por fuera y le fue bien, pues ya se colocó tercero en el ángulo inicial. Al instante rebasó a Brad Binder y, al momento, a Jorge Martín. Casi de una tacada abortaba el plan de fuga de Martinator y encontraba aire fresco y libre de las turbulencias que hacen subir la presión de los neumáticos. Luego había que saber gestionar todo y lo hizo con la maestría habitual. Ni permitió que el sudafricano se le arrimara. El italiano admitió que aprendió la lección del sábado. "Era muy importante cambiar la estrategia en las primeras vueltas respecto al Sprint. Intenté ser un poco más agresivo porque sabía que mis prestaciones y mi potencial eran lo suficientemente buenos para permitirme gestionar una distancia si podía ponerme al mando", expuso. El de Chivasso dio la vuelta a la tortilla. "El Sprint fue una buena lección también para saber cómo obtener las prestaciones con la nueva moto. Estoy contento porque supimos entender cómo mejorar la situación y eso me da una gran motivación", proclamó. Porque él, como Jorge Martín o Bastianini, los de la GP24, se lamentaron mucho de las malas vibraciones que tenían en su rueda trasera. Eso siguió para los tres, pero en menor medida. Y el que supo controlarlo todo mejor fue Bagnaia, es decir, el de casi siempre. Lo malo para los rivales es que este resquicio de duda de la nueva arma 'ducatista' parece esfumarse, al menos para el transalpino. "Lo bueno es que si tenemos otra vez ese problema ya sabemos hacia qué dirección ir", advirtió. Martinator, a medias Eso podría ayudar a Martinator, tercero con su misma máquina. "No puedo pilotar como me gustaría, no puedo tocar el freno de atrás, no puedo utilizar mis habilidades para ir rápido, pero he podido ser competitivo en otros puntos, pero empezar así, como vengo de otros años, a mí me da confianza, me genera estar contento", decía con un sabor agridulce. El madrileño se lamentaba, entre otras cosas, de ser algo 'blando' en los compases iniciales. KTM, la cara y Aprilia, la cruz La 'sorpresa' en lo positivo fueron las KTM, especialmente con Brad Binder, segundo. "Sí, pero nosotros vamos ya al cien por cien, mientras que ellos, las Ducati con Bagnaia y Martín, todavía no", aseveraba. La 'decepción' llegó para las Aprilia, sobre todo, para Aleix Espargaró. Fue el que mejor acabó en el Sprint, finalizando en el 'podio', pero en la cita larga todo se torció desde la arrancada. "Algo no iba bien con el agarre trasero desde la primera vuelta. Ni pude pelear. Con todo, me voy de Qatar sabiendo que tengo una moto competitiva, aunque pienso que perdí una buena oportunidad. De todos modos, el Mundial es largo", explicó. El esperado drama llegó para las Honda y las Yamaha. Su travesía por el desierto parece que será muy larga. Como ya lo fue en 2023, porque el Mundial 2024 empezó como acabó el anterior, con Bagnaia hablando en la pista y siendo ya líder.
