Would anyone be interested if I opened a ~ $5USD donation raffle (accepts credit/debit and Paypal) for a commission that looks something like this? Fully rendered, 1 character, half body.

This is a sketch (from yesterday) and wasn't intended to be posted so it's a lot less clean than what I'd do for a commission (particularly the coloring. My lineart tends to be a bit messy). However, I wanted to get this started and I don't have much recent art in my portfolio so I included this.

Legit: The only thing about this episode that I'm upset about is that it's a side character that's confirmed trans on-screen. Because outside of that, the whole episode is freaking awesome.

This episode was amazing. I do like that they explicitly made May trans on screen! I was worried they weren’t gonna say anything in the show and just keep it to “it’s confirmed by word of god” which I personally feel (and I could totally be wrong, this is just my cishet opinion) isn’t the best kind of trans rep? Because WoG can just be easily ignored or not even known at all. Like, you wouldn’t know May is trans if you don’t follow Kdin or anyone who’s following her. I like how May said with her whole chest “I’m not anyone’s son.” That’s fucking dope

It’s a pattern that’s been around for at least 6 years and I don’t think the writers will stop anytime soon. The animators are their scapegoats and it’s such bullshit.

To me, it doesn’t matter if they didn’t intend for the interactions to be flirty. They were seen as being flirtatious and the writers need to stop deflecting blame/making excuses, get off their high horse, and own up to their fuckups, which I doubt they’ll ever do.

I'm a fan of Apex of the World as a CF boss song, and all I can say is… Fair point. That should have been a pre-boss song for CF and a unique song should have been done for the final boss map.

See, for CF it makes sense because Rhea’s backstory isn’t expanded on, so for that to be the final theme it adds to the “We need to stop this character because we think she’s evil.”

Funeral of Flowers works so well because Rhea’s backstory IS expanded on, so we find out that she isn’t some tyrannical psycho who is deluded into the thought of betrayal, but moreso a victim of genocide who lived in constant fear of herself and her family dying. So when she goes insane, Funeral of Flowers is perfect because we have to put down the shell of someone who once was soft and kind and gentle.

Therefore, when Edelgard’s a boss in Azure Moon, there should have been something more tragic to her theme because to Dimitri, that’s his childhood friend/step-sister who feels that she can’t trust him enough to find a path to peace with him. Something with the main notes of Edge of Dawn’s chorus, less hopeful sounding than Apex of the World. Maybe sample “Unfulfilled”.

I added Mohammed Hijazi's campaign as it nears its goal. Mohammed's elderly father urgently needs surgery.

The Alanqar family has finally hit their initial goal of €58k. However, the family is currently in danger and can't focus on reaching out to get the final €2k they need (see my post here). Please get them out as soon as possible!

I think that maybe someone guessed what would happen in the Volume's finale, so the writers scrambled the animators to change it for that bullshit "subvert expectations" reason. Because that's what it feels like. It really feels like they did all of that for the singular and sole purpose of "subverting expectations."

If that’s the case they also subverted the expectation of the show to be fucking good imo

I’m getting back into soul eater and jojo part 5 for now, no critique, just full on enjoyment, (I have a series I’m fixing from the ground up but it’s pretty old and i’m just doing it for me, I doubt people want to get into it.) plus those of you who know me and want to chat have my discord, you can hop in anytime, and for those who don’t but want you, welp I’m still here.

Still it’s nice to know many people enjoyed my “hot take” on rwby, sometime I forget how much of an impact I’ve had on the community, but don’t wanna get too sentimental.
