Sure, he's rough around the edges, but that's how he was written in the series, and later on he does soften up thanks to some other characters.

I write him not really knowing how to relate to people, as he grew up an orphan, and taken in by Kyoya. Though he's got his own people smarts.

-- Kambei, like most Samurai in his world wake up with the rising sun. He removes his earrings before sleeping, so he slides them in his ears at first light, using the reflection on his katana to see where he's moving his hands; though he's so practiced it's second nature to breathing and swinging said weapon. He also kneels in seiza position to greet the sun, pray and ask for a good day.

-- Contrary to what people [in the series] tend to think, Kambei doesn't like to waste time, if he must though, he spends it wither sleeping, or meditating to where it seems like he's sleeping.

[most prized possession? ]

-- His earrings, and different parts of his clothing. In [episode # idrr] Kambei is shown wearing garments unlike his normal clothes because he's being imprisoned. I feel like his clothing is vey important, like his sword as they're his possessions as he travels around with nothing else, save a little bit of money from doing work when he deems it necessary.

Hello everyone! I am once again here to say that I am still around despite being quiet due to the... matters affecting me in real life. On a lighter note, I’ve also been quiet because I’ve been working on a super secret project and I wanted to finally unveil it all to you this Christmas as a sort of gift! So say hello to my newest hub, @ovenmade! A place for Cookie Run muses! While I never expected to pick up any characters from this franchise ( or against my better judgement pick up more muses in general whoops ), I’ve fallen in love with Kingdom especially and found myself working on some muses before I even knew it. For the moment though, I won’t be advertising my CRKO hub anymore than just here to my mutuals. I want to take it slow and just vibe there for the time being while I get affairs here on duelcafe in order — the holidays are still busy for me, after all, and there are still a few things I need to get down there before I fully open the doors there.

I also want to say that this doesn’t mean that my TCG hub will be abandoned. I obviously have big plans for @duelcafe as implied, and some of you might’ve noticed some changes already! In short, I will be working on various things across my blogs here, but the major items on my list to complete are updating my themes to work with the new text editor ( this is the most important one ), revamping certain pages of mine ( both information and coding-wise – progress has been made here ), and just general overall organization. Like I said earlier though, the holiday season is busy for me, and I have family down visiting us. When I do have the time, know that I am focusing on getting these things done and crossed off my to-do list. I also have decided against setting up my queue here until I am more active again, so while my blogs here look inactive, please don’t worry — I’m still here in the background when I can be! And like I said, I’ll be musing on @ovenmade from time to time!

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! I’ll probably see you all here sometime in 2024. ♥

Hello to anyone who might be checking out my blog from @duelcafe! While I'm friend-only and not fully open to the public yet, I more than encourage questions if you have any for me! At the moment, I have Red Velvet Cookie ( @cakearm ), Stardust Cookie ( @starlorned ), and Strawberry Crepe Cookie ( @crepebot ) linked on my muselist / blogroll. Feel free to follow their sideblogs! Like I said in the post announcing this hub though, I am taking things slow. In-between doing some much needed work on my TCG hub and real life, I will be simply just musing here and building back up my confidence to write again. Sera’s base backstory is pretty fandomless at it’s core, so it’s not all that difficult to fit her into a variety of worlds and AUs - Which, actually, she’s got a variety of verses in various fandoms! While this blog is mainly FF with touches of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Sera has a bunch of other verses on one of my other blogs, and is the first of my OCs I look to for starting something in a new world, just because she’s so general in her storyline and only needs minor edits to fit into most fandoms/worlds. I think so far the only thing I haven’t been able to fit her into is worlds that focus more on fighting, like fighting games like Tekken, or things like Resident Evil? She’s too soft and too kind to get far in worlds like that, unfortunately, and my last choice for such settings.

However, as for AUs I want to try out, @honorisen, @kaibacorpbros​, and @eyesofblue-heartofgold​ are actually in the process of creating an AU in the background as I answer this! <3 Currently tentatively called Spellbound, it’s a fandomless world spanning multiple of our muses and rooted heavily in varying kinds of magic, from the lore of the Shadow Walkers - a bloodline descended from Egyptian mythology and harnessing various kinds of shadow magics in various ways, brought to life by Vel and her amazing mind - to lore based in Japanese mythology, with Sera as a fox goddess who’s lost her power after being tricked by a kid (in Kasa’s awesome hands <3) and having it taken from her, forcing her into human form, and even magics from Mew’s own epic creation! Though it’s bringing with it some canons from our blog rosters, too, Spellbound has no ties to them otherwise and is completely our creation at its core.

It’s already a madhouse and we’re well underway into bringing it to life, and it’s amazing. XD There’s magic, music, bickering, bullies and high school life, friends being made and traversing life in their different ways... I can’t wait to let it loose! <3

Physical touch and supportive words/gestures. <3 If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Sera, it’s that she thrives under these two (three?) specifically, and they boost her up and make her feel loved more than anything else I’ve seen. ‘I love you’ can get to her pretty easily, but it’s the touches paired with it, the cuddling and softness, and the care that comes with genuine support that truly make her stop and realize how much she’s cared for. Even just a hug can remind her of that even in her worst and most down times <3

The first character I first fell in love with: zanya & akatsuki kisaragi — as soon as these two came on the screen it was almost in a instant! 

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: asmodai, kiri hyoryu, ikazuchi & doctor gara! i’ve rambled & rambled & rambled about these characters with my friends sm — there’s just no words to describe how much i love these guys without going into another ramble, they’re all just great & the way they grew on me totally had something to do with how i feel about them now! especially with how u wrote kir — just WOW!

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: mm, miko mikono & chibi panda (lil guy got on my neeeerves)? idk others opinions on these two but from what i can tell they have been generally received well but not for me.

The character I love that everyone else hates: i think a lot of the characters are liked by pretty much everyone to some degree, but i haven’t seen that many ppl like davide yamazaki! i was originally gonna add him in my first roster for this blog actually!

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: none!

The character I would totally smooch: grimoire. i just think he’s hot, no other reason!

The character I’d want to be like: dai kaido, outwardly with others. i’m like him with my close friends but i want to be like that with everyone (especially on here) as well! 

The character I’d slap: kyoya gaen, holy shit. this guy tried to end the world how many times??? take a damn break!

 A pairing that I love: there’s not a lot of canon ones soo i’ll go with one that the fandom talks about! gao mikado & kazane fujimiya!

Demon Slayer

The first character I first fell in love with: zenitsu agatsuma! the screaming, especially during the spider mountain arch... i felt that.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: akaza! he’s sooo great! he’s everything & i enjoy writing him too! i like how he’s a chatter box & how that may confuse the slayers he encounters! he’ll literally chat someone up, maybe have a decent convo & kill em! there’s other reasons too, but i’d ramble! i also looove kokushibou way more than i thought i would’ve

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: daki... i’m sorry i just can’t stand her! it’s not that i don’t feel bad, i just don’t like her that much.

The character I love that everyone else hates: gyokko! he makes me laugh but everyone else found him to be annoying. fair enough. i liked watching him get bullied.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: none!

The character I would totally smooch: kyojuro rengoku, akaza, sanemi shinazugawa & mitsuri kanroji! a bunch of hotties— pfft! i’d also give yushiro a hug, holy shit. kiriya ubayashiki too!

The character I’d want to be like: nezuko kamado! she’s a really strong character, stronger than most ppl give her credit for! she was able to fight off the effects of muzan’s curse! she a really strong girl.

The character I’d slap: douma! he’s too damn much.

A pairing that I love: i’m a rare pair kind of person honestly & while my fav pairing isn’t controversial in any way, i don’t feel comfortable saying so just cuz i don’t want to even have a sliver of a chance of discourse. 

A pairing that I despise: but i’ll answer this with a controversial take, not a fan of shinobu kocho & giyu tomioka!

[ blue ] — for a sad memory

His little hands grasped at the thin blanket across his body. Rouga tried his best not to cry as he heard his parents fighting in the next room — this wasn’t a usual thing — and he merely shoved his face into his scrappy little pillow, the fact that it had no pillowcase made his cheek break out in itchiness.

There was a crash; his Father was throwing things, again. When he would do it in the day time, his mother would pick him up against her hip and they’d go to the market, or just take a walk — and wait for his Father to get out his anger — but nothing helped as the times grew more frequent.

Silently he cried, muffling his mouth with the pillow, just hoping he’d not have the same itchiness in his mouth. He was allergic to whatever the pillow was made from — later he learned that it was a type of cotton, made in his hometown, by children his own age back then — and his tears dampened the material, stinging his eyes.

Pretty soon the crashing and yelling stopped. and the rickety door to Rouga’s room opened. He was deathly silent, hoping they hadn’t heard him sobbing. Heavy steps lumbered toward the bed — a makeshift pile of sheets and patchwork — and Rouga smelled it: Alcohol.

He held his breath as a hand was placed on the side of his head. “Brat, so glad you’re sleepin’ but I hate to do this to ya...” Ruffling his hair. Rouga felt the hand leave in the darkness; he wanted to grab it at the last moment, but stopped himself. 

His Father’s steps went from the room as his parents suddenly made up like they always did, though his Mother was crying. “How can we—” And she sobbed into her husband’s chest.

“It’s for the best, we can’t stay here. Ya know I don’ wanna hurt ‘im.” Rouga’s Father said as he looked back at the door to where his son was cradled and sleeping he thought.

Rouga heard his parents leave and close the door behind them — though they locked it because they still loved him — and he cried again, beating fists against the blankets, not knowing the reason.

"What an odd question. Of course not. Not only can I not die, I am Misterican so of course not. Mistericans are not reborn and there is only nothingness for us when we die. Mistericans are Mist kind, Sky Children. From the Sky we are born and to the Sky we return. When we die, there is only the nothingness of the nature we become.

The natural world around you is made of my kin. Our spirits being made of Mist as they fade into nothingness and we become the great heavens and the clouds above. I am sure my Mother's spirit became that of the Moon and my father the Sun . It would only be fitting. My brother is the Morning Mist and my once guard the sparkling stars above our heads.

SOME UPDATES !

Credits are completely updated across all blogs!  There are also now designated tags for where and which blog I am using something for.  All of these items are now viewable on my hub; they were posted privately as to not spam the dashboard, but are all of course linked in the credit section of my overview + navigation page and in any of my rules for my sideblogs as well.  Along with that, there is now a post that includes all of the icon batches I’ve found and am using ( if I haven’t outright made them myself ) just to keep them in one place and easy link to / properly credit!  

I’m adding music widgets to my blogs!  None of them are autoplay ( nor will they ever be ), and I’ve done my best to make sure that all songs are consistent sound-wise so that one song won’t be wildly louder than the previous.  Though this is really only applicable to duelcafe, as it’s the only blog of mine that has multiple songs on it.  Still — no player will be set to max volume, or even half for that matter.  My character sideblogs will get one song each, which will be rotated every now and then as I see fit!  I’m not finishing adding players to all my blogs yet, but look forward to them.  

I edited the coding of my themes with responsive centering for desktop!  Well, at least for the blogs that didn’t already have it ( which would be duelcafe, seamtorn, and waterlord. )  This means that no matter the screen size of someone’s device, bigger or smaller than my own, my blog will still appear centered on their screen.  If you notice any problems with my themes and they are not centered on your screen for some reason, let me know!  I’ll try to figure out why that is.  I’ve done my best to test and make sure things are in proper order, but it’s hard since I only have my own screens to go off of, so I can’t be 100% certain if works for everyone and their respective devices.

(( My favorite character to cosplay is hands down Daimon Masaru from Digimon Savers. I feel like i can do anything as him, and his character in the series just gives me strength to be the man I am inside. I might just be a bit more daring while wearing him too. ))

Who have you cosplayed the most?

(( I’ve cosplayed Aoyagi Ritsuka from Loveless the most. A total of 6 times over my cosplay years. He’s my all time favorite character and is even the conglomerate of my alter. ))

Who is a character you want to cosplay but haven’t yet?

(( There are a lot of those, one of which I have the cosplay for, but can’t fit into it and that’s Mikaela Hyakuya from Owari no Seraph. I bought it off Ebay and got a size too small-- I also have a wig my friend styled for me, ironically when I showed them the first few episodes of the anime. ))
