dev update

alright so unfortunately

i did not want to make this announcement

but i will need to step away for some time to focus on other things.

i'm in a real bind financially and need to focus on building a portfolio so i can start taking commissions and ease some of the financial burden on my family.

this doesn't mean i won't be working on duplicity. i still will be working on finishing the backgrounds and getting things together, i just won't be able to post and update as often.

i will continue to post character cards when i find the time to make them!

sorry guys, it's just.. holiday season coming up, both of the cars are having issues, i really need to do something to help out.

devlog 7/15 ::

LAAAATE night post but this is what i've been up to the last 6 hours. Just a quick little preview of the main menu and the game menu. I need to figure out a few more things, so only a couple screens are shown in this video.

I'm also thinking about getting rid of the sound when you hover over the menu buttons because it's starting to annoy me lol.

special thanks to @itsya-boi for trying to help me when i was pulling my hair out and another special thanks to @queenlilithprime for providing their scripts for me to peruse and finally figure out how to get the game menu to work.

In more big news, @winndycakes is halfway through getting the draft edited!! Yay Winn!! Just a little bit more and I can finally start getting it coded. Man, I should finish up the GUI and really start working on backgrounds haha.

I've been working on things here and there. Got a few backgrounds finished and many more to do unfortunately =w=

Going to be working on the last of the GUI things, mostly just the cursor needs to be added.

I answered all the asks in the inbox and queued those for tomorrow/later today. ouo

updates will be more frequent once the holidays are over. i'll be buckling down and finishing everyone's references/character sheets and getting the backgrounds and CGs done.

honestly i'm kind of BUZZING. i'm aiming for at least the end of february to release eue

Small update.

I HAVE been working on things and assets, it’s just been slow going. I want to wait until I can get a video of it all programmed in so I can share it. :>

Been feeling a lil sick lately too but no worries. The game is still being worked on in the background.

Hiii

It’s been a while. I’ve been battling a bunch of things IRL.

As for an update, we’re still working on getting the script edited. My tablet kind of crapped out with the cord and I need to replace it eventually. However, I did replace a part for my Apple Pencil, so I will be at least able to work on character concepts and finalize all of that!

Meanwhile, I still have medical tests and other appointments to take care of. For the foreseeable future, I don’t imagine part one being available until January, esp with holiday season coming around. Sorry! I really wanted to release it at least before Halloween but it’s not turning out that way. All good things to those who wait after all 😩

I think that about covers it for now. Take care bunnies! I’ll be posting art sometime this month 🩷🩷

i rather enjoy all of it tbh. very comfy cozy. i do still need to make a few adjustments and create the cursor for the game, but GUI is pretty much done!
