Day 100 - DusTIYS

For my 100th day, a Draw This In Your Style(DTIYS)! Rules and an announcement under the cut :)

As we all may know, Dusttale is by Ask-Dusttale

DTIYS RULES

Tag me @/daily-dusttale in your art! And also tag it as #DustDTIYS for organizing purposes!

It has to be Dusttale. Duh. However-

You don’t have to draw these two versions of DT!Sans+Player! You can draw any other versions of them that I have on here, or your own!

The DT!Player can also be a DT!Frisk, if you want.

No GenAI, obviously. Or tracing. You can trace this over if you want to figure out the posing, but I suggest you don’t trace for your final line art, thank you.

You can change up the posing, but try to keep the general composition for the characters(like Peer covering Mur’s socket, Mur blocking Peer’s attack, etc).

The Background can be whatever you want if you want to change it.

The injuries can be whatever you want EXCEPT for the one on Peer/This Player’s hand because it looks like Mur’s Eyelight a bit and I like that :) But if you’re drawing your own guys/not Peer and Mur, then do whatever.

Colors can also be whatever you want. Get creative<3

The Announcement is that I’ll be taking a break! It was very exhausting to draw/post daily, because even when I did scheduled posts, I still drew on those days to schedule or just work on stuff for later 🫠 The break will be for only a week, hopefully, and then I’ll be trying to get back into daily drawing! Thank all of you for engaging with my work <3

Now, I will collapse into a pile of dust. Ta ta!

Went with Peer and Mur, since i don't really have a DT player design and Peer was an interesting drawing experience. Had a lot of fun with this one because the original reminded me of Abnormality Dancin' Girl, so i took some inspo from the clip for the perspective

Dried leaves crunched beneath his feet as he walked, dark eyes fixed on the ground as he followed the unseen and fading trail. It was a faint shadow, a stain in the air and earth itself, and was fading even still. That lingering wrong energy dwindling with the passage of time... To him it was like a hum, a soft whisper in his mind, and he was determined to follow it to wherever it lead. There were trails such as the one he currently followed lining Hawkins, he'd found. Some were as the one he currently walked- ever softening- while others were sharp and jagged and still bristling with a thing both familiar and unknown to him...

Jack had left his motorcycle parked along the road in order to follow this path, hoping that perhaps a more faded one might lead him to the answers he sought. He paused in a small clearing, dark eyes scanning the area until they fell upon a tree. Approaching he dropped down to a knee and moved to press his palm against the trunks, fingers tracing along the bark. He inhaled sharply through his nose before letting it out in an exasperated huff upon the realization that this trail simply ended here... as though it had entered into the tree and vanished entirely.

Another dead-end.

"Son-of-a-bitch..." The biker muttered with a shake of his head, standing back up and stuffing a hand into his jacket pocket. He pulled a pack of cigarettes out and plucked one from the slightly-crumbled pack before stuffing it between his lips. He wasn't going to get anywhere at this rate... The trail was running colder by the day and he was no closer to his answers now than he was a week ago- or a week before that- or a month- or a year- or-

The hair at the back of his neck bristles and he wrinkles his nose in frustration, the air growing heavy around him. The branches creak unnaturally, twisting and slowly snapping with every thump of his heart... red ring pulsing in his eyes for a moment. He shakes his head and reaches back into his pocket to fetch his lighter next- the pressure easing as he  quickly regained his composure...

He still had time to figure this out- to understand- surly he would.

He at least had to try...

            escaping the labs meant that there was    NO RETURN  to the town of hawkins .  .  . or so she had thought. the scars left on her from dr.brenner were beneath the surface of her pale skin , making it hard to trust others. after all , she was different. with the powers of illusion , it was only a matter of time before she had learn to use it for her OWN personal gain. gain meaning FREEDOM. 

          she could have sworn she recognized a young girl with brown hair at STARCOURT mall. the one branded with ‘ 011 ‘ on her wrist , matching the ‘ 006 ‘ on her own. the anxiety she feels is high , but she needs to talk to 011. there must have been a reason the girl was DRAWN back to this hellish town. 

             tris is trying to be as sneaky as possible , instead , makes her stick out like a sore thumb with her ‘ SUSPICIOUS ‘ movements. the blonde comes to a halt , pivoting on her feet only to stumble a bit back to reveal the boy in front of her.  

     ‘       geez ! ‘  

        ‘ were you following me ? ‘

he is trying — trying to hold himself back at snapping at the kid, trying to get some semblance of control over the situation. jim closes his eyes. he counts to ten, head tilting, lips drawn into a tight line and then:   ❝ what i hear, is your constant nattering when i expressly asked for quiet. ❞       he is… failing.

LISTENING to the familiar voice of Dustin on the other end of the receiver, Joyce tries to hide her chuckle. She knows this isn’t the first time he’s called, but it’s nice to actually talk to him for a change. Plus, the boys aren’t home and someone has to answer the phone. “Oh honey, I–” It’s too soon. At least in Joyce’s mind it is. “Soon, I’m sure. We’re still settling in, and unpacking, and getting the boys into a new school with El… What’s the next holiday coming up?”

IN — CHARACTER : QUESTIONNAIRE.

1 ) WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE ?  She smells like a place you seem to remember from your childhood but you can never quite remember what made that smell, it just kind of rushes to you and send you back, makes you feel nostalgic. 

2 ) HOW OFTEN DOES YOUR MUSE BATHE / SHOWER ?  ANY HABITS ?  She prefers to shower every other day, avoiding baths as much as she can. It reminds her too much of the sensory deprivation chambers. She prefers to shower only at night just before bed with really warm water. She absolutely cannot stand lukewarm water. 

3 ) DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY TATTOOS OR PIERCINGS ?  She doesn’t even have her ears pierced. Not that she’s afraid to, but she’s just mostly never had a use for them! Besides that just the 011 tattoo on her wrist. She has no intention of ever getting another one right now.

4 ) ANY BODY MOVEMENT QUIRKS ( EX : LEG SHAKING ) ?  El is very quiet and reserved and usually has very bad spatial awareness to begin with so most of the time she’ll attempt to take up as little space as she can. Oftentimes folding her arms or keeping her hands in her lap. She will always try to smallen herself. . 

5 ) WHAT DO THEY SLEEP IN ?  Always in PJs or at least shorts and a shirt. Sometimes one of Mike’s shirts or even a sweater, depending on the weather.

6 ) WHAT’S THEIR FAVORITE PIECE OF CLOTHING ?  Hopper’s shirts. She wears them occasionally, otherwise she really love things with bright colours! 

7 ) WHAT DO THEY DO WHEN THEY WAKE UP ?  She sits up and immediately and gets out of bed, though its been years she's still on the regimen from the labs.  

8 ) HOW DO THEY SLEEP ?  POSITION ?  Most of the time she’ll ball up in a fetal position. It’s where she feels the most comfortable. She sleeps with a big fluffy blanket she’d previously stolen from Hopper’s couch. It was likely meant to be for decoration but it’s her’s now.

9 ) WHAT DO THEIR HANDS FEEL LIKE ?  Soft, gentle to the touch. She doesn’t let her nails grow out very far so even if she should happen to grip down rarely will you ever feel her nails digging into you. 

10 ) IF YOU KISSED THEM, WHAT WOULD THEY USUALLY TASTE LIKE ?  Most likely like black tea. She becomes really obsessed with it very quickly. Otherwise whatever lip gloss she happened to get from Max. So something hyper-sweet.
