Mission accomplie !

Après 1h30 de trajet chaotique sur les chemins de montagne pour faire une trentaine de kilomètres, nous avons été récompensés comme il se doit !

A peine arrivés aux falaises de Látrabjarg, nous avons pu apercevoir notre premier macareux ! Puis un second, puis un troisième et finalement beaucoup se sont offerts à nos objectifs et quel régal de les voir dans ce cadre magnifique ! Ils n'étaient pas seuls cependant, des pingouins torda et autres mouettes étaient également de la partie.

Après cette matinée magique, nous avons pris la route direction Ísafjörður, notre point de chute pour la nuit. Quelques kilomètres et épaves plus loin, nous avons eu la surprise de découvrir en chemin, une cascade immense, répondant au doux nom de Dynjandi !

Enfin arrivés à destination, nous avons découvert Ísafjörður, petite bourgade sans grand véritable intérêt mais qui constitue un point de départ pour les activités touristiques du coin.

Demain on s'orientera vers l'Est la tête pleine de souvenirs des Fjords de l'Ouest...

Wir starten mit dezenten 6 Grad und stürmischem Wind am Vogelfelsen Latrabjarg.

Hier gibt's die putzigen Papageieintaucher ganz aus der Nähe!

Die betörende Küste der Westfjorde beschäftigt uns anschließend sehr intensiv mit Hunderten von Kurven und noch mehr Schlaglöchern.

Fjord folgt auf Fjord. Ab und zu gibt's eine Farm mit vielen Schuckis und mittendrin interessante Verlassenschaften.
