EAGLESWOOP - WindClan Protector

He/Him

Name Significance: His fluff as a kitten looked like wings and he was a fairly large kitten, prompting his parents to name him after the largest bird they knew of. In hindsight, it was a strong name to give the only one of their kittens to survive Brokenstar’s invasions. Perhaps his name saved him.

Struggling to find posts u've made in the past about Stoneclaw, but I love her sm. Definitely one of my BB Blorbos

I don't think I've ever put together a particular thingie on her, she's a beloved background character who tends to show up on her own in various places. Like when I talked about sign, before making the deafness guide!

BB!Stoneclaw is a gray-and-gold tortie, and the sister of Thrushwing. They come from one of the field guides, where it's revealed the two of them were sitting their vigil on the night that ShadowClan drove WindClan out of their home. In canon, Thrushwing is the survivor, but for BB, we all just kinda liked Stoneclaw's name more than Thrushwing's, so I decided to hit him with the Woman Beam.

On the night of the WindClan Massacre, Stoneclaw and Thrushwing were sitting vigil.

Daughters of Flytail and Eagleswoop, and grandkits of Tallstar himself. They were a promising young pair.

Before they even knew what hit them, they heard Brokenstar's yowl.

A squadron burst from the shadows, sliced Thrushwing's throat open, and smashed Stoneclaw's head to the ground

ShadowClan wasn't showing mercy, survivors were incidental. Their goal was to kill as many cats as possible.

Stoneclaw was dazed for a few seconds, going limp, but when she came to she leapt right back into the fray. She watched the rest of her family fold.

Tangleburr and her squadron went right for her father, Flytail, out of revenge for Lizardstripe, mobbing him and pulling him down

Eagleswoop just had a stroke of bad luck, failed to dodge, and was killed like prey

It was a horrific night, and what was once a large family was decimated to a couple of cats. She lost auncles, both parents, and her sister in one fell swoop.

Injured and aching, Stoneclaw said nothing as WindClan escaped the scene. The other survivors took it as a sign of great honor from the young warrior; that she had upheld her vow to the bitter end, even after losing so much.

But it lasted long after that night. The vigil has never truly 'ended' in her mind, so her vow of silence hasn't either.

Unfortunately, WindClan gets rough shake after rough shake from this point on, and she barely has a chance to heal in the constant barrage of violence and aggression. Between Nightstar's invasion, TigerClan, the BloodClan battle, the destruction of the White Hart woods, the Great Journey, and the Civil War... things only really started settling down years into her life, during Po3.

During the Civil War, Stoneclaw was actually ideologically aligned with Mudclaw, but took Onestar's side. She wanted to believe that Tallstar was lied to, but... she knew her grandfather better than anyone. Once the shock wore off, she had to face the horrible truth that he made a sudden, naiive decision.

It didn't take her long to stop regretting her choice, though. Her feelings are complicated, but her line too far is Mudclaw's willingness to attack his Clanmates.

Had she taken his side, she would have gone into battle with her future mate as a target. She doesn't think about it-- dismissing that she ever could have made such a choice.

Her internal monologue is a lot more afraid, frustrated, and exhausted than other cats would guess it is. Her actions don't match her thoughts.

She's hardworking, always trying to make her Clanmates comfortable, frets over her friends and family endlessly. Pair this with WindClan's assumption that her selective mutism is a "vow of silence," and most cats see her as an "ideal warrior." Someone kits should look up to and aspire to be.

She got into a relationship with Snapstorm waaaay too quickly; but luckily, Snapstorm is a really good mate.

After everything she'd been through, Snapstorm's cheerful, easygoing attitude was soothing and attractive. Snapstorm just had to say, "Hi Stoneclaw! Mice to see you around!" and then hand her a mouse for lunch and it was all over

Snapstorm was a BloodClan trader who joined along with Brushblaze, and one of the targets of the Civil War. She's a bit flighty and doesn't always think through everything she says, and doesn't worry about much either.

Their oldest kit is Buzzardclaw, who takes after Snapstorm a lot. So far I also gave them Crouchfoot in a later litter, but I've been thinking about giving them a bunch more.

The oldest litter was definitely accidental.

But not unwelcome. They both responded to it enthusiastically, Stoneclaw because she suddenly felt like she would have a big family again, and Snapstorm because she loves kids and just wanted to be a parent one day.

As mentioned before, they got into their mateship very quickly. They made each other happy and that's the whole reason.

Unfortunately, they would start seeing the difficulties of their personalities clashing while raising kittens. Which I just find FASCINATING which is honestly kinda why I want to throw more kits at them (not to mention how small WindClan is, padding is super appreciated)

See, Stoneclaw is dealing from serious CPTSD. Her mutism is NOT a vow. She can't speak and it's frustrating to her.

At the same time, watching the very helpful tail-signals that WindClan uses to communicate across the distant moor reminds her of battle signals, like she had to deal with during the fights with TigerClan. It's triggering, and that's ALSO stressful.

She's also lost so, so much of her family within the span of a few years, and is dealing with attachment issues as a result. Especially to that first litter, which she would be terrified of losing.

This makes an individual who can't communicate, but is desperate to. She hasn't been able to work well in groups for years, and unlike a more solitary cat like Willowclaw, this is not the result of a choice.

Snapstorm, being an outsider, is the first and only cat to not treat her behavior like... well, some kind of solemn vow to be "respected."

And that means a lot to Stoneclaw. Even if she was poetic, these are complicated feelings which would be hard to describe.

And Snapstorm is a sweetheart, but, she is putting a lot of effort into this relationship. She's not really great at focusing on one thing for too long, and a bit "forgetful" in the way that details go missing for a while until they come back later.

So sometimes an important bit of info slips her mind, or she misses a social cue and makes a joke that's a bit gruesome, or the fact that Clanmew is her second language rears up and she forgets words or translates a Townmew idiom directly and it Does Not Work.

While all this is happening, especially with the early litter, Stoneclaw is being a helicopter parent. Too worried to give her kits the freedom they need to develop, and Snapstorm is both trying to be a good parent and a good mate.

I'm fond of the idea that when Buzzardkit was very little, Stoneclaw was the Mi. But as she started to realize that her fear of losing him was hurting both of them, Snapstorm started taking over as Mi.

I think their dynamic is interesting. I like the idea of each litter ending up having a different upbringing, because of the state of their parents each time. Stone's also going to be sticking around for a very long time; definitely the last survivor of the WindClan Massacre, by many years. It's nice to think she's eventually surrounded by kits and grandkits, growing up in a better world than she did, even if it's not without its problems.

She's also going to start using Pawspeak, being one of its foundational members after developing a little friendship with SkyClan's Fallowfern. It's cathartic to her, finally feeling like there's a new context for WindClan's old tail signs, being used to communicate in a language rather than just be used for battle and hunting.

Stoneclaw is one of my personal little BB blorbos that I think about a lot. It's fun having conflicts like this going on in the background.

Eaglekit -> Eaglepaw -> Eagleswoop  Deputy of Steepclan Eagleswoop is a serious and quiet cat. They are quick to silence arguments with a single stare, rarely having to resort to claws, or sharp words. They smooth out Agatestar, balancing the arrogant leader with a calm approach. They are good at problem solving, and remain very calm in almost all situations. After being attacked by eagle as an apprentice. They were almost carried away by the huge bird, but due to their quick thinking, managed to force the eagle to dive down so that his clanmates could attack. Once they had healed, they were given their warrior name, Eagleswoop.

Eaglepaw/-swoop- Tall, lithe, brown and white tabby tom,green eyes. Son of Kestrelwing and Snowstream. Good hunter, playful, a little suave and romantic. Likes to joke around with his friends but knows when to take things seriously. Kestrelwing and Snowstream have certain accents from coming from a completely different area so I made it to where he gets that accent too in my head. Think the cat equivalent of a French accent, but they didn't come from France,lol. Future mates with Duskpoppy.

Ruefeather - dark fluffy calico tabby tom

Family: Pearblossom (mother), Fennelnose (sister) Gender / Sexuality: tom / gaaaay  Personality: shamefully gay, like forgive him father he has sinned, hes so naughty fr, secretly tho, everyone thinks he has virgin energy, but secretly hes a little perv Backstory: Ruefeather had big paws to fill, figuratively and literally, taking over for his grandfather Berryhunter when he retired. Berryhunter was a well known and loved social tom who was an incredible hunter and tracker. Trained by the response warrior,, on Ruefeather’s naming ceremony, Berryhunter retired. Of course Ruefeather is trying his hardest to fill that spot he’s taken, but he just isnt Berryhunter. Ruefeather is quiet, reserved, he’s not loud and energetic. He gets excited about things at times, but he’s particular. He’s a good hunter, just like his grandfather and his scenting skills are nearly surreal.  Ruefeather is often seen as the “young one”, the baby, must be protected at all costs vibes. He’s the one you impulsively want to leave at camp to protect the kits when a fight is happening. Except Ruefeather can really hold his own. His name comes from his pelt and his fluffy tail, there’s nothing overly fuzzy about his skills. He’s an incredible fighter, and powerful too. Despite being seen as the young one, Ruefeather is not. He has a huge thing for big strong warriors, pretty much any strong cat who proves their strength in some amazing way. He fawned for moons during his apprenticeship when Sunnystrike killed that turkey. When he isnt on some patrol or hunting, he will spend time alone, thinking about those handsome strong warriors…  Ideal Partner: the strong male lead, the quiet guy too, the chatty one, the kit of the leader prince vibes Position | Clan: Warrior | Whisperclan

Fennelnose - fluffy ginger shecat with white patches

Family: Pearblossom (mother), Ruefeather (brother) Gender / Sexuality: she-cat / bisexual  Personality: v good single mom, once upon a time not long ago i was a hoe and im admittin it vibes  Backstory: Fennelnose, granddaughter of Berryhunter was a popular young shecat in her apprenticeship. Trained by a popular queen, Greywillow, she can put any tom in his place. As a young warrior she gained a lot of attention from the toms of the clan, its no surprise within a year, she’s pregnant. Now with her kit, she truly has no clue who the father is of her kit. All the toms who slept with her of course do their best to step up, knowing no one is sure who the father might be. Fennelnose has a great support system, and cant wait for her brother to mentor her son, Eaglekit.  Ideal Partner: true father of Eaglekit, not true father who just loves her fr, the one who didnt even sleep with her who has been the best friend, fellow single mother?, single father, maybe even someone who bonded with eagle, like how bracken bonded with snowkit Position | Clan: Queen | Whisperclan

Family: Fennelnose (mother), Ruefeather (uncle) Gender / Sexuality: male / bisexual - molly leaning  Personality: he likes to be the big spoon with girls, but the little spoon with boys, hes a guys guy, if he was a human he’d watch everyone one of his home teams games, a little condescending when he’s being endearing he cant help it Backstory: Trained by his uncle Ruefeather, Eagleswoop never knew who his father was, which meant most of the toms his mothers age did their best to keep their eyes out for him. It was sweet. Eagle is a good boy. He is now a young warrior positioned as Ruefeather’s sidekick, and does his best to make up for his uncles lack of social stamina by being friendly. He’s chatty with everyone, and always willing to gossip. He’s a big cuddle bug, and is never going to say no if a she-cat wants to spend some alone time together, definitely not learning from his mothers hoe phase.  Like his uncle though, Eagleswoop began to admire the strong warriors of the clan just like Ruefeather. He has to admit, he wouldnt refuse snuggling up between a pair of big strong paws after a long day, tom or molly. Ideal Partner: the shecat who wants kits, the new beefcake warrior, a greystripe type dude, a Firestar type dude, give him someone who is trying to overcome their social anxiety, or someone who already has who is like “man i appreciate you” Position | Clan: Warrior | Whisperclan

deadstar (deadfoot as leader) au

tallstar died when windclan was chased out so deadfoot was left picking the pieces of the destroyed windclan. he couldn't go get his 9 lives directly because of the shadowclan threat. but he appointed (why are there NO known windclan cats between the birth of tallstar's half-siblings and wrenflight's canonical kits (as far as I'm concerned ashfoot and morningflower aren't related to onewhisker and tallstar) yeah eh (scours the minor character pages for tpb) lizardtooth! (the unnamed tabby warrior that accompanied morningflower to windclan's camp after windclan came back home)

(lizardtooth is also the father of runningbrook, tawnyfur, and robinwing wc larchsong. they are littermates despite what the canon allegiances made you think). anyways when fireheart and graystipe went to bring back windclan deadfoot did a little detour by the moonstone to get his 9 lives. he came back and assured his position against the other clans very strongly. he wasn't going to let anyone bully windclan anymore. when his son, eaglekit became an apprentice, eaglepaw he was very proud. one time he went out with eagle and eagle's mentor when brokenstar's rogues (not broken himself) attacked the trio, leaving eagle's mentor dead, eagle badly wounded and deadstar having lost a life.

later when it was discovered that these were brokenstar's rogues and that bluestar/thunderclan were keeping the old war criminal as a prisoner in their camp deadstar was furious and demanded that bluestar kill broken. when she refused he planned with shadowclan to get rid of brokenstar for all the clans’ wellbeing. the attack happened, but this time brokenstar was killed and bluestar died. tigerclaw became thunderclan’s leader as he’s always wanted and made darkstripe his deputy. he was always suspicious of graystripe being disloyal so he banished him. gray went to riverclan (this was before silverstream had her kits so they are born safely in riverclan and she lives) fireheart also had to leave because tigerstar still didn’t like fireheart at all he went to deadstar asking for somewhere to stay. deadstar accepted fireheart in windclan. 

to prove his loyalty he’s given gorsepaw as his apprentice. deadstar was obviously going to keep an eye on fireheart, but he wanted the young fire to prove himself worthy to the rest of the clan (also tallstar may have told deadstar that fireheat was his son-in-law so he better be nice to fireheart). fire lives a pretty okay life in windclan. lizardtooth doesn’t fully trust him at first but they warm up to each other (especially after runningpaw took a liking to fireheart). eaglepaw gets his warrior name eventually, eagleswoop. everyone is very proud of him. especially ashfoot and deadstar. gorse, running, tawny and larch are also proud of their friend and train even harder to become warriors aswell. 

one day at the end of leaf fall windclan is attacked by the combined forces of thunderclan, led by tigerstar and riverclan, led by leopardstar. eagle is sent to shadowclan to plead for help. cinderstar(cinderfur) relunctantly agrees and the two clans work together to fend off the attack. during the fight lizardtooth is killed by tigerstar, who in revenge gets dogpiled by runningpaw, tawnypaw, larchpaw, gorsepaw, eaglestorm and fireheart. tigerstar is now dead and darkstripe is thunderclan’s leader. everyone is very sad about the death and deadstar makes fireheart his deputy. gorsepaw is also made a warrior; gorserunner. leopardstar used the weak darkstar to take over thunderclan and combing river and thunder into leopardclan. 

leopardstar is very petty and tries multiple times to take over shadowclan and windclan, but in one pretty banal fight she loses her final life to a very tired deadstar and now blackclaw is riverclan’s leader. darkstar uses this to become leopardclan’s leader by killing blackclaw. and he attacks the two clans more viciously before a real final confrontation against windclan and shadowclan where he dies, dustpelt becomes leader of thunderclan, and riverclan is now led by stonefur. 

then there’s a little break of a two years and a half or smt and it’s tnp time! fireheart’s kits with ravenpaw. squirrelflight and slateleaf(leaf) are windclan’s chosen (slate is a medicine cat). runningbrook and ferncloud’s kits spiderleg and shrewbite are thunderclan’s, reedwhisker and hawkfrost go for riverclan and quietwhisper goes for shadowclan (quiet is still mute in this) they go to the sundrown place and meet midnight. on their journey hawk and slate become “close” and all admire quitewhisper for quins natural leading abilities.  they lead the clans to the lake. when they arrive cinderstar dies. his deputy had died on the way to the lake and he didn’t name another deputy so now shadowclan has a power vacuum with only the old runningnose and littlecloud to deal with the chaos.

duststar tries to use this mess to poke at shadowclan’s borders and take land from them, but he’s defeated multiple times by cats led by quietwhisper, who eventually is chosen to become shadowclan’s new leader; quietstar. duststar becomes more rude and stops ferncloud and runningbrook, who he had allowed to meet “in secret” but where on very thin ice, from meeting up. he also becomes way more strict than before, ready to fight anyone who poses a threat to the warrior code and thunderclan. at one point he even starts banishing cats who broke the code; goldenflower (for having been mates with tigerstar in the past) bramblethorn and tawnyfang for being tigerstar’s kits, ferncloud and her kits for halfclan reasons; etc. in the end there were just a pawful of thunderclan warriors left because every infraction was a reason to banish a cat for duststar (look he’s not possesed, he’s just very, very traditionalist and became tired with how the code wasn’t respected enough and finally he snapped and banished cats for any infraction, no matter how small)

many cats joined one of the other clans after being banished. ferncloud went to windclan with her kits where she lives very happily, golden and her kits joined riverclan... eventually the other leaders were kinda tired of duststar’s nonsense so they teamed up to attack thunderclan and stripped duststar of his remaining lives and eyed ashfur(his deputy) very suspiciously before he became too fearful and decided to make another cat deputy and drop off the leader role. so now brindleface is brindlestar, thunderclan’s leader!

while this was happening slate was having an affair with hawkfrost. he tried to use the chaos of the fight against thunderclan to kill stonestar, but was stopped by barbet (who knew of her sister’s affair). slate was expecting hawk’s kits and was starting to panic. she met up with reed(who hawk was also having a relationship with and he proposed to preten the kits were his and hawk’s) so now grousekit(jay), lionkit and minkkit(holly) were being raised in riverclan by reedwhisker, with bramble, tawny and golden’s help since brambs and tawny are the kit’s half auncles. eventyally the 3 become appretices; grousepaw to stonestream(he’s not an elder), hollypaw to mintfur and lionpaw to mistyfoot. 

the dark forest shenanigans still happen with hawkfrost using his status as the kids’ father to convince them to trust him (he train all his kits) and he convinces grousepaw that stonestar is a bad leader, grousepaw fucks around a little and somehow strips one of stonestar’s lives off. mink lears what happened and is shocked. she tries to get grouse to calm down and pretend nothing happened and Stop Killing Stonestar For Starclan’s Sake. grouse calms down and stops meeting up with hawkfrost. but then lionpaw has meeting with slateleaf’s apprentice heatherpaw and they are really close, to minkpaw’s dismay. and mink has to force lionpaw to leave heatherpaw and not see her again. (she does this while fighting her on feelings for willowpaw)

during one gathering reedwhisker is talking to slate and squilf discretely and assfur overhears them talkning about the kits. they are discussing wether or not they should tell the kits that slate is their mother. assfur who had been courting squirrelflight but had been rejected pounces on this as a way to hurt her. he discretely gets in riverclan, while passing trough windclan as a way to attact squilf’s attention, she obviously chases him and he finds grouse, lion and mink, now warriors; grouseclaw, lionblaze and minkflight. he corners them and tells squilf thet he’s going to kill her niblings to hurt her, but mink interupts this by jumping on assfur and demanding an explanation. he smugly tells her that slateleaf is their mother and that reedwhisker isn’t their father at all. 

then he pushes her off and runs away; grouse, lion and mink ask squilf what this meant, it couldn’t possibly be true, but she ahs to admit that assfur was right, but she admits that he’s right. the 3 run away into riverclan and find reedwhisker. they pul him to the side and ask why reed never told them that he wasn’t their father. reed told them everything he knew; reed and hawk were a known couple in riverclan, but he was also seeing slate. when he died, after attacking stonestar slate was expecting his kits. squirrel asked reed if he could do them a solid and pretend slate’s kits were his with hawkfrost. some time before the kits were due slate and squilf went off on a starclan mission and slate gave birth to the kits, they then met up with reed and the 3 named the kits before reed took them back to riverclan. 

so now there are some problems and mink is going nuts. then during the gathering assfur asks his mom brindlestar is he could make an announcement and called out reed, squilf and slate for the 3 illegal kits which was very awkward for everybody and slate was shunned, but squilf did one thing before getting her status destroyed and that was asking ass how he knew about the whole thing, after what she gave a detailed explanation of that bitch eavesdropping to a convo he had no reason listening to, harassing her non stop for not being interested in being his mate (from another clan at that! so he also broke the code!), crossing windclan territory, not following the rule of the 3 foxlenghts and threatening to kill 3 riverclan warriors for the sole reason to hurt her. 

at least now assfur is also in trouble. reed and squilf don’t really get punished, they are somewhat mistrusted by their clanmates but that’s it. slateleaf is demoted from her healer status, leaving heatherbloom as windclan’s sole healer and assfur is banished from thunderclan for the whole list of crimes he commited. he does some annoying shit, but is quickly found dead because that bastard thought he could fight a fox on his own and died. but one day slateleaf was found, heavily wounded and barely alive. she was nursed back to health, but she didn’t know what had happened. minkflight has also dissapeared for some reason and is thought to be dead after being gone for half a moon. 

lion and grouse look for her, but never find her anywhere. in thunderclan ivykit and dovekit are born to whitewing and birchfall. the kits sneak out of camp one night and fall into the lake, but are saved by a dark figure. ivykit doesn’t think much of it, but dovekit wants to meet the figue again and sneaks out again. but this time she gets lost too far and is wounded. the dark figure finds her again adn treats her wounds. she presents herself as storm, a rogue that wa passing by when she was the two kits escape. she was going to leave when she found dovekit outside of camp again. 

dovekit really admires storm and want to come with her, but storm tells her to return to her home, with her family as they would miss her if she left like that. but dovekit sneaks after storm and now it’s too late. a blizzard occurs and storm cannot bring dovekit back to camp as the kit would freeze to death. storm constructs an imporivised camp close to a small body of water and keeps dovekit warm at all cost. she learns dovekit how to fish (she breaks the ice on the water by using heavy stones) and they survive by pure chance honestly. then ove kinda forgot that she had to return home and spent time with storm even after the blizard was done. 

ivykit is really sad because everyone thinks dovekit died. she blames herself because she didn’t stop dovekit from going outside again. she becomes an apprentice, her mentor is sorreltail and she trains fairly normally. during a gathering she meets hollowpaw, lionblaze’s apprentice and the two become friends realy fast. they always meet up at gatherings and have good times together. dovekit and storm continued living peacefully, dove had now become dovepaw and storm was “mentoring” her, which dovepaw didn’t spend too much time thinking about honestly. the one day they are wandering and see the lake and dovepaw is struck with immence homesickness for some reason and wants to go to thunderclan again. 

storm tells her to go as she won’t come with dovepaw, but dove pleads and storm agrees to go with her to thunderclan, but then she’d leave. when the two entered thunderclan territory they found ivypaw and hollowpaw meeting up (in secret) and ivy and dove finally reunited. hollowpaw was kinda confused by this and storm explained that she had found dovekit outside and protected her until she came back now. and this is when lionblaze joins the stage. he had followed hollowpaw’s trail because he had been sneaking out for a while and lion saw storm. he recognised minkflight. he was so happy to find her again, but she didn’t feel well meeting her family again. 

lionblaze wanted her to see grouseclaw and reedwhisker again. he was deputy now and mintfur was their leader, mintstar. she reluncantly agreed to come with lion. dovepaw went to thunderclan with ivypaw and hollowpaw followed lion and mink. while crossing windclan territory they met a patrol, led by squirrelflight and accompanied by slateleaf and shrewbite. squirrel and slate greeted lion (they had become kinda close since the reveal, not parent-kit close but something akin to auncle-nibling) and slate greeted mink aswell, but mink was very awkward around slate and hurried away. she enters riverclan camp and is greeted by reed and grouse. she is invited to stay for a while and she accepts. her family is vry happy to have her back (yes even the grumpy grouseclaw)

she spends some days in riverclan until the gathering where she is invited to come, she goes and meets dovepaw again. dovepaw is super happy to see stormminkflight at the gathering and tells her eveyrthing about her return to thunderclan. her parents were so happy to see her again and she was so happy aswell and she finally spent time iwith her sister after all this time and everything is so great now! she’d just wish sto-minkflight was also a part of her life in thunderclan. mink is really happy for her, but feels really uncomfortable on the island, as the last time she’d been here assfur had shared the secret of her parentage and her life had fallen appart. 

some days after the gathering she leaves riverclan. she tries to avoid getting seen by a windclan patrol, but is caught by heatherbloom. she asks what she’s planning to do now. as she recognised her fur on slateleaf. storm answers that it’s none of heatherbloom’s buisness, but heather retorts that attacking a cat from another clan and nearly killing them is against the code and she shoul know better. mink retorts that her whole existnce is against the code and slate is the reason why. heather is very annoyed but lets her go. storm leaves windclan and goes to say goodbye to dovepaw. this time she’s maing sure that the energetic apprentice stays in thunderclan.

dovepaw is sad to see her leave, but she accepts it and says goodbye. grouse and lion are detressed since their sister left once again and ask dovepaw if she knows something. she tells them that storm left the clans again. but they don’t have time to look for her a lot since reedwhisker died mysteriously and now the brothers are mourning their father and stonestream is made deputy. and there’s dark forest drama that has been happenning in the background and now the dark forest is preparing to attack the living. storm had spent a lot of time thinking after her talk with heatherbloom and was returning to the clans hen the dark forest attacked. she saw slateleaf and squirrelflight being attacked by hawkfrost and killed him. she apologised to slateleaf for wanting to kill her that one other time and mother and daughter spend some seconds being close before the battle continues being a mess. 

storm sees dovepaw being attacked by some dark forest warriors and teams up with ivypool to make them flee. eventually the battle is done and storm sees her brothers help each other. they see her and talk with her. she doesn’t want to be a part of riverclan anymore, she is going to be a loner, but if she’s allowed she will visit her family from time to time. she says the same thing to dovepaw and the two say goodbye to each other. dovepaw and ivypaw become warriors after the battle; dovestorm and ivypool. storm visits the clans every so often and starts forming a bond with slateleaf. she also visits reedwhisker’s grave every time she’s close to riverclan. wishing she’d been there to help her father.

For the past few days, I've been trying to make ends meet with this tree. WindClan's biggest problem is how very few cats it has in-canon, with the Erins practically forgetting an entire generation between Tallstar's Revenge and TPB. As a result, I had to make this thing nearly from scratch.

The result is before you; there are 122 cats on this chart at the moment! I've used Missing Kits to try and patch the "bald spot" in the timeline, but I admittedly did have to scrounge up a couple cats here. There are still no OCs on this tree, but some unnamed background characters have been given names.

(I am also watching authorial statements like a HAWK in the hopes they will drop more names I can use to pad out some of the single-kit litters, like Appledawn's single kid Adderstone there)

I also have tried to balance the size of this Clan with BB!ThunderClan's count by ASC. There's now a little over 30 cats in this Clan.

"Tortoiseshell Queen" from Fire and Ice; may just be Quailheart or Storkfeather, if not, her name will be Ruffclaw

"Gray Tom" from Fire and Ice; if named, he will be called Chipstone.

Swiftstar, Dalestar, Thrushbreeze, and Larkstripe's unnamed honor sire are all characters in Ripplestar's Rot, but they're just a bit too far back to be relevant at the moment.

Hareflight (FQ) is from the same time period. If they show up again, their name will be Harefrost.

Whitetail from Tigerclaw's leader ceremony was a WindClan cat in BB; she doesn't show up to his ceremony in this story, but she could appear on the tree at some point. If she does, her name will be Whitetuft.

From Code of the Clans, I am holding onto; Pebblefur, Acorntail, Morningcloud, Cloversplash, and Gorseclaw who would be renamed to Whinclaw.

Several leaders and Clerics could appear if BB ever went further back than Ripplestar's Rot. Swiftfoot, Stonestar, Duststar, Dovestar, Featherstar, Fallowstar, Rabbitstar... plus Mudpuddle, an ancient deputy.

Wanderkit and Muddyclaw from the Adventure Game are from WindClan; but currently not needed

Brightheart's surrogate kittens, Ambermoon, Snowbush, and Dewnose. Some could show up here if needed.

NOTE: If any of these characters show up again in canon, or are confirmed by authorial statement to have a different name, I will abide by that and update accordingly (unless the name is, of course, a conflict).

CHANGELOG: I tell you why I did the things and also point out what's different

Because this Clan was so empty and full of orphan warriors, I was able to completely make it however I wanted.

I also tried to make sure that MODERN WindClan is still VERY clean. Most of canon's "orphan warriors" are totally capable of being mixed with just about anyone else who's around in WindClan.

This is so I can accommodate just about whatever the Erins throw at us... within reason of course. Never doubt the Erin's ability to ruin a family tree.

In BB, Sunstrike and Furzepelt have expanded roles and survive to at least TBC, so I decided they would get Slightfoot. They're the kind of girls who would raise a rebel like him.

Ryestalk has been moved out of the Mist/Hare family. I have more need for her as a clean cat; and a better story to tell of her being afraid of tunneling. Her mother, Leafshine, died in a collapse.

I wanted to find some sort of in-between cat for Pigeonflight and Cranberrysplash, but unfortunately, I ran out of cats. She is probably adopted; found abandoned.

Fernstripe might move around in the future; for now she is a later birth to CranberryxDrizzle. If she moves, it'll probably be to SunxFurze.

Whiskernose is older now because I reworked his purpose in the Dark Forest

Drizzlefall was initially Runningbrook's child. When she dies in TNP, Webfoot raised her alongside his own kid, Rustlebush. They are marked as siblings for that purpose.

Mudclaw and Whitewater of ShadowClan had an unimportant fling during the journey. They both agreed it was an honor siring and would be kept quiet-- but Whitewater became a supporter of his during the rebellion.

When Mudclaw was smote by StarClan, she felt that the kittens were cursed.

She contacted Torear and arranged for him to take his nespring, but the night of the meeting, a snowstorm tore through the Clans. She couldn't take the runt, else he would freeze.

So, she kept Owlclaw of ShadowClan, and Harestar and Kestrelflight went to WindClan.

Brushblaze and Snapstorm are both ex-BloodClan, they did trading with WindClan just after the BloodClan battle, when Tallstar and Firestar opened up peace talks with the defeated Scourge.

Hareheatherbreeze and the Onestar Drama

So of course, one of the bigger changes in BB is that Harestar, Heathertail, and Breezepelt are in a polycule. I did a LOT with this fix in mind.

Onestar is now a single kitten. In Clanmew, his prefix is "Ul-arra," a whole fraction.

This was an expression of grief, as his mother Larksplash died in childbirth, along with his siblings. Cloudrunner was distant, unfortunately never recovering from the ordeal.

Him and Larksplash were quite old to be having a litter, and they knew the risks, but Onestar always felt like Cloudrunner blamed him, in a way.

Eventually, he wanted to raise a child. Whitetail honor dammed for him, and offered open coparentage, but Onestar politely declined. It was known Whitetail was Heathertail's parent, but they weren't very close.

Probably through a shared grievance with Onestar and feelings of responsibility over Heather, Whitetail and Brushblaze became very close. They eventually had two kittens-- Smokekit and Galekit.

Onestar interpreted this as them both trying to tell him they knew about Smoke, slipping further into paranoia towards the end.

Heathertail LOVED the two of them right away.

Unfortunately, Brushblaze laid down his life saving Kin refugees, including Heathertail and Breezepelt, by collapsing an escape tunnel on top of himself.

Galerunner and Smokehaze were only a few months old at the time.

Hareheatherbreeze will be keeping Brindlewing, Appleshine, and Woodsong! Brindlewing was first, with Apple and Wood coming in a second litter.

Tallstar's Family

In Tallstar's Collapse, Talltail leaves WindClan for a long period of time. He wandered with Jake and his family of nomads, eventually finding foundling kittens and deciding to adopt them with him.

But, eventually, he couldn't resist the pull of homesickness, and the desire to try and fix things in WindClan. He tried to leave the family he'd made behind-- but Fly followed him.

Talltail, naively, believed that Fly would remain innocent. That the kid would be above the battle culture of the Clans. He was wrong.

Fly became a ferocious warrior, even competing with him for the deputy position. If Talltail hadn't been quick or keen enough to kill an adder that was going for Heatherstar's grand-nephew, Flytail may have become leader of WindClan.

The kit was named Adderkit for this event, later becoming Adderstone.

Flytail, his mate Eagleswoop, and one of his daughters died in the WindClan Massacre. Talltail had already lost two half-siblings in the war.

What was once a large family was reduced to Tallstar, Stoneclaw, Wrenflight and her children.

Stoneclaw put off having kits for a time, eventually having two one-kit litters with her mate, Snapstorm; Buzzardclaw and Crouchfoot.
