Found on this afternoon fossil hunt, these pieces and this rock with the tiny brown echinoid in it. Now 3 bigger rocks with echinoid in it. I reblog the next post with this piece.
Some of the new fragments of flint with the sea urchin outer shell, spine imprints in contrast to each. Often are barely to see only on one or a line segment on the surface from the original fossil.
These molds are only piece from the laying of the previous part of the sediment, in which the fossil was embedet.
Only one - two dot of the once spine mold from the previous liening. Resembles an little like octopode sucker nubs.

Hyposalenia is a genus of regular echinoids (sea urchins) from the Cretaceous period, typically found in Greensand deposits. These echinoids are characterised by their symmetrical, globular test and neatly arranged tubercles that once supported spines. They lived in shallow marine environments, contributing to the rich biodiversity of the Cretaceous seas.
