Can you draw Ed from Tonic Trouble.
He’s technically not from Rayman but I think his design and vibes fits Rayman’s world so well. Plus characters from his game cameos in Rayman 2
Tonic Trouble is pretty cool too! Although I only know it from video essays, it really feels like Rayman's funky cousin

Here's a complication of some of my favorite ships! 3 oc X canons and 3... not??
These have been my OTPs at least once in my life. So I think they all should be celebrated. Yippee gay people!!

Their headcanon is, because of a crazy game of telephone, Ed accidentally took credit for defeating the Robo Pirates. He has no clue what’s going on skdgbskfnvbjsnfgb poor dude

TFW you accidently cause an ecological disaster of the wacky variety
On a more serious note, you know how I said last year, starting from my 30th Birthday, I would make it a rule to at least make one doodle every Monday and post a photo of one of my drawings from my school sketchpads every Friday?
Yeah, I kinda fell out with that. OOPS.
But ya know what, screw it! As I’m now more active here than on twitter now more than ever, I’m gonna get back into the groove of things, starting with this doodle (I admittedly got carried away with) of the hapless janitor-turned-hero Ed Boy from the game Tonic Trouble (1999, released months before Rayman 2 that same year)!

Ed! The hero of Troublesome Tonics
I think this guy's identity is so rooted to Rayman that there's even room for him to shine. His design, some gameplay mechanics, final boss and sountrack feel so Rayman, but theres few things that are him and that's the characters, they're so expresive and wacky (sadly you get to know almost nothing bout them), he's also more puzzle focused than combat focus
The idea of a resistance in a twisted world where a drunk barbarian becomes a ruler bc of simple tonic can and this dumbus has to fix all bc of an accident is so cool, it could be cool to bring him back
Idk those r my thoughts I rlly like the game even tho if it feels so wonky at times and the level design is confusing as hell sometimes (I played the n64 version btw I'm aware there are more versions just like with R2 smh)

You ever heard of Tonic Trouble it’s an enjoyable platform that Ubisoft made to test the 3D engine that lead to Rayman 2. I just enjoy the deranged designs and vibes of it cause sometimes it scratched that Earthworm Jim vibe I enjoy.
Also I have a soft spot for any character design that looks like this.
Take a look at the intro for example. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvXVN2W5D-g
oh @scentedwonderlandpoetry, the rabbit hole you sent me in
I never seen the intro until now? And then I ended up watching a full playthrough? Twice??
I was aware of TT's existence but I didn't really think much about it until this ask and omg you're SO right about the EWJ vibes! Ed is so goofy and expressive (and has Jim's tube head design).
also how many ubisoft characters have david gasman voiced now
