inspiration saturday/seven sentence sunday

all in one and a week late! thank you @penny00dreadful for the tag, and if you know me at all you know where this is going. we're talking PIRATES BABY

inspiration: this started out as a simple conversation in the discord that went something like: "@eddiemonth day 11 is pirates and kinktober day 11 is sensory deprivation (blindfolds). what should i do???" which has devolved with startling speed into what is shaping up to be a novel-length ofmd au which in all honesty will not be released for a while because it's turning out to be much longer than i expected it to be. so I give you this very small moodbord that I've cobbled together from random pinterest images, and yes, there is jimmy buffet neon included here. and yes, it is set in the early 18th century. it is a very unserious au, with lots of silly funtimes and also lots of general pirate antics

Steve eyes him up and down, then makes a face. “You’re the boss?”

“Eddie,” he says. Then he clears his throat, and in a lower voice, “The Dread Pirate Munson.”

Steve just shakes his head. He takes a breath, squinting at the stairs that he assumes lead to quarters. There’s a door at the top, which isn’t barred, but the slightly-scary-definitely-insane pirate is between him and freedom.

“Alright, dread pirate,” he says. He plants his hands on his hips. “What are you going to do with me?”

“I already told you, we’re –”

“And I already told you, ransoming me isn't going to work,” Steve says. “So?”

Eddie blinks. “Well, we can’t just give you back.”

“Then you can either kill me,” Steve says, jutting out his chin. “Or you can find me a bed. Either way, you’re getting me a pair of shoes and some fresh clothes, because whether I’m staying here or dying, I’m not doing it like this.”
