i see where you’re coming from but i deeply and truly need you to remember eddie gets up on tables and yells at people he doesnt like for literally no reason. imagine that guy trying to be normal in a room with the child he pulled out if the depths of depressive hell who seems so happy doing nerd shit who suddenly looks like this

It’s Your Birthday - Eddie Munson Headcanons

whether you’re friends, family or dating, eddie always makes a big deal out of your birthday

in the days coming up to it he’ll usually act as if nothing special or important is happening, as if he’s completely forgotten that it’s almost your special day

sometimes, however, the excitement gets to him and he will start teasing you about your birthday in the days and/or weeks leading up to it

he always seems more excited about your birthday than you are, not to mention he’s always more excited about your birthday than he ever is for his own

if he can afford it, he’ll try to buy you something nice but more often than not your present is either something hand-crafted by him or simply a showering of affection that lasts the whole day

whether he can afford a present or not, he always takes you out for your birthday

sometimes you’ll go out and grab some cheap food, other times he’ll drive the two of you wherever you want to go

if you’re dating he will definitely plan a trip to lovers lake

he’d get wayne to help him find someone willing to lend him a boat or he’d just pinch rick’s for the evening, then he’d row the two of you out into the middle of the lake where no one could interrupt you

you’d sit drifting around for hours talking about whatever came to mind

he’d definitely end up falling into the lake or at least almost falling in after messing around and tipping the boat just a little too much

if you managed not to fall in too you’d have to reach out and pull him back into the boat, trying your hardest to heave him back out of the water despite your contagious laughter 

if you fell in with him, however, well that’s a different story

if it’s cold you’d probably both clamber back into the boat and cling to each other for warmth until he got you safely back to shore

if it’s not too cold or at least bearable enough, maybe you’d give in and have a little swim, splashing each other the entire time

no matter what he had planned, it was always something you looked forward to each year

it became less about it being your birthday and more about the memories you’d create together on that very special day each year

every year he’d always promise to do better the next and every year you’d remind him that it didn’t matter if he had the money to do anything ‘special’ since it was always special simply because you were able to spend your birthday with him

Steve had listened, Eddie’s hand held in his as his thumb gently traced the back of it, brown eyes meeting brown as he made sure to not interrupt, to listen to everything the metalhead had to say to him in that moment. It felt good to Steve, not only that Eddie felt good about who he was, but that that proved to himself that he was changing as a person. Old Steve? Probably would have made fun of Eddie. Almost certainly did, though he didn’t remember him much at all other than his title of ‘Freak.’ 

Knowing that he was part of the reason that Eddie felt like he could truly be who he was was making him beam, a smile spreading across his face, as he leaned forward and claimed a kiss from his boyfriend. “Good, because I wouldn’t want you to feel like you have to hide any piece of yourself for me. I might not understand all of it. All the weird theatrics, and nerd shit, but...it’s what makes you you. And I mean...” 

Steve couldn’t help but shake his head, pressing their foreheads together with a completely cheesy grin. “You are who I am in love with, Eddie Munson. For every single side of you.”  @mvnsons​

If Chrissy had any doubts about whether or not she should go to see Eddie’s band play in one of the cities they were touring on, those doubts vanished the moment she saw him on stage. Any trace of worry about coming off as too invasive when they weren’t anything official dissapeared, instead being replaced by a sense of joy for fighting off her fears and taking the chance of travelling all the way there. Chrissy wasn’t sure if Eddie was able to see her at any point of the gig, and she wouldn’t have blamed him for not doing so, as he seemed understandably busy. But, the moment the band stopped playing and they got ready to go backstage, Chrissy exclaimed for his attention until she was sure he had seen her. “That was so good! It made the trip so worth it.” Chrissy shot Eddie a smile. “Makes me wish I could go on tour with you guys, too.”

She’d been spending some of the immense expanses of time her mom wasn’t home hanging out with Eddie since the guys seemed to like him enough and he lived right across from her. He wasn’t quite a babysitter or a friend, but something else. Maybe deep down she had another reason to spend time with him; some morbid desire to replace what she’d lost over the summer. Not that her former brother would ever try one of her creations.

She laid out bread, sweet gherkins pickles, peanut butter, and sharp cheddar cheese on the table and looked to him with a smile. “So--are you gonna try one?” She asked, as she started to construct a sandwich from all of the ingredients.

at this point, nancy and mike are the only ones who don’t respect either of their parents. they may have had their moments with karen, but they have no reason to honor either of their parents due to their neglect.

dustin and his mom have a great relationship, lucas has a great relationship with his parents, will, el, and jonathan have joyce and hopper, max takes care of her mom even if she isn’t the best, and none of the older kids have relevant parents. mike and nancy have been shown to disrespect their parents and even with nancy’s heart to heart with her in s3 and even with mike’s reunion with karen, neither of them seem to honor her. they definitely don’t honor ted.

also mike is definitely jumping off the cliff again somehow someway. mike is in more danger than any of our other characters, according to the apocalypse of peter. that definitely adds up with all the Everything Else we’ve been saying

It wasn’t that she was nervous around Eddie; at this point, being nervous was mostly her normal state of mind. “Would it be silly for me to ask if it’s real another rumor I heard about you?That you sell... stuff?” In Chrissy’s mind, dealers were shady people in alleyways, and definitely not guys as charismatic and nice as Eddie. Most importantly, dealers were guys whom people like Chrissy didn’t frequent, so finding out that someone like Eddie could be one had the potential to blow her mind.

       Billy  had just been fired from yet another job. It was hard to keep any down for long with the PTSD he suffered from, but every time he was accused of not being able to focus and slacking off, it only further pissed him off. He was practically thrown into the back parking lot behind the pizza place as his manager yelled nonsense and then slammed the door shut.

Hearing the voice, Billy looked up and was less than enthused to see the town freak had witnessed the whole  display.  ❝ Yeah, I hear you have a reputation for that, ❞ he said, not holding back the bite in his voice. He knew that Eddie wasn’t the murderer the town had once branded him as, but he wasn’t exactly in a ‘play nice’ mood.

When He’s Sick - Eddie Munson Headcanons

just some headcanons of what i think eddie is like when he’s sick (and being extra clingy with you)

when eddie is sick, you’re the first to know about it

he’s calling you over because wayne has left him alone to go to work

he sounds rough as hell over the line, full of sniffles and his voice is all groggy and scratchy

when you get there, however, you realise that although he is unwell he isn’t quite as bad as he was making himself out to be

he’s whiny and needy, curled up in bed or on the sofa with a pile of blankets and cushions

this man pouts constantly

if you thought he was a dramatic attention whore before just you wait until he’s feeling ill

he knows you’ll do your best to take care of him and he loves every second of it

he wants you making him food, sitting with him to cuddle, spending all day with him

even if it’s only a common cold, you can bet he’ll milk you for all you’ve got, making sure he’s your top priority until he’s feeling better again

if he actually is really unwell, you know

he’s too quiet and completely bed-ridden

he’s in and out of consciousness, sleeping for most of the day

when he is awake he’s barely there, his words nothing but a pained mumble as you ask him how he’s feeling and help him drink some water

although he doesn’t get too sick often, when he’s that unwell you’re always right by his side

you don’t move, even if you know he could pass whatever he’s caught on to you

when he’s sweaty you’re the one wiping him down with a cool, damp cloth

when he’s coughing you’re the one rubbing his back and pouring out some more cough medicine

when he’s sick he just wants you around, whether it’s a common cold or something worse

he just likes to lay in your arms or with his head on your lap

he wants to feel your soothing hands holding him close as you gently rub up and down across his skin as if it would take all the pain away

eddie might be a drama queen but he’s your drama queen and you can bet you’ll pamper him every second until he’s recovered

besides, as much as you’ll complain about him being so needy to be around you, you enjoy spending as much time with him as you can too
