Insomniacs Anonymous being my highest ever performing fic means so much to me yoi guys don't even understand. The amount of love I have for that story and I genuinely think it's one of the best things I've ever written. The characters and their experiences are extremely personal to me. And the fact that it has just under 6,000 reads as an OC X Edmund Pevensie NARNIA AU. IN THE NARNIA FANDOM PUBLISHED IN 2023. And the entire concept being so completely niche. If you've ever read this fic and interacted with it I literally love you. I wrote that fully for myself but every person who cares bless you. Also are you okay? How's that childhood trauma work going? Hopefully you find your autistic bisexual sword boy soon. Still searching for mine too.

To anyone wondering, Ive been hard at work and happy to write the finale for Insomniacs Anonymous, but of course my laptop broke last week. So progress has been very slow going as I can only write at work during a short window between prep for the day and when my kids show up for class. I spent the last five days battling customer service reps and long story short I will be buying a new laptop this weekend. In the meantime, the issue is resolved so I no longer have to spend every moment of my free time at home dealing with that, and it works enough for me to write with it, I will be able to get the chapter done in the next couple days.

Sorry for the delays. My misfortune waits for no one.

New Fic Just Dropped

Yes. In the year of our Lord 2022...I have started a new Edmund fanfiction. Those of you who have for some reason glimpsed my wattpad know it’s not the first, but I’m never gonna go back and complete that complete trilogy rewrite canon divergence what-if fic because I was insane for starting it.

This however, will be a short run (I always say that, but look what happens). But for real this time. Nevermind that the first 2 chapters are 21 pages total single-spaced. Anyway the first two chapters are up because I don’t care if the fandom is long dead, I am Narnia trash first and foremost so I’m writing it damnit and you can’t pay me to stop.

Summary:   As soon as Charlotte meets Lucy Pevensie, it's obvious they're going to be best friends. Things aren't so smooth and amicable with her youngest brother Edmund, however. He's arrogant and rude, a textbook debate club boy, and he knows how American girls feel about his accent. Frustrating though he is, Charlotte keeps finding herself stuck with him, and slowly glimpsing a side of him few people see. Perhaps they aren't so different after all...

A modern AU in which Edmund and OC are basically Elizabeth and Darcy, enemies to lovers slow burn. They’re both insomniacs and have a penchant for going on night adventures when they can’t sleep. There’s angst of course. And Lucy is gay as hell, she’s also the OC’s best friend. Read if you like:

This chapter is extremely hard. I thought framing it as court documents would make it easier and more matter-of-fact, a less traumatizing way to get through the material. Instead, at least for me, it was so much worse. That said, please be aware of the trigger warnings- this chapter contains graphic discussion of child abuse, neglect, and cPTSD. Also a grueling trial with some very questionable ethics. 

All that said, I swear to GOD it gets better after this. This is absolutely as dark as it will go. Next chapter is going to be ALL BOPS GUYS. SUPER ON THE UP. THE TEAM WILL BE UP AND WINNING. Plus relationship development!!! I swear!!!
