The amount of payneland fics I’ve read where they are “just mates” but for some reason they just choose to put their beds together or sleep in the same bed and they’re like “yeah it’s just best friends activities”.

I mean I’m not complaining, I totally dig it but it’s so funny how they just have no reason to be doing all that

S: She wasn’t entirely clear on what they were figuring out exactly – anyone with eyes and two brain cells to rub together could see they were crazy about each other. H: He drank in the sight of Charles’ velvet brown eyes and elfin chin - he wasn’t dead. A: "Are you Hob Gadling?" D: Dream was on a bloody road trip, Matthew was playing good cop to a serial killer Hob was not at all confident wouldn’t run off to start eating eyeballs again instead of looking for these ghost kids, and Hob was just stuck at home grading stupid papers like a bump on a log. E:  Charles needed Edwin to understand everything he didn’t know how to say – that he would die a million deaths to protect Edwin.

This time loop au is getting written at a rate of about 50 words a week...but it IS getting written.
