I am posting Eileen Gu today for the first time since the Olympics which were... a long time ago now. I was actually all set to post her a few months ago and then she got injured and didn't compete so I watched the X Games without her in them. Anyway, there is really nothing that triggered her being here other than it's how my brain works. The last time I wrote about the controversy surrounding her and I didn't defend her so much as point out most people who were critical of her were really only upset because they felt like they lost. I still feel that way, I know the people making noise about it but it doesn't mean that she is right either. I do have issues and am never entirely sure how to address them mentally that she is willingly and enthusiastically being a propaganda piece for an Authoritarian regime. It's a lot to put on someone young and yet here we are. I am never really sure how that makes me feel about her. I am sure since this is the internet I'll get an ask if anyone still send them (someone did tell me I am  coward for only letting people who have followed me for 2 weeks message me or leave comments. I am fine with that) to tell me... something about how whatever is fine. You are welcome to your opinion, though I will make it clear every tankie can go fuck off and die. You guys are barely a step above internet nazis and also I am pretty sure when the revolution comes you guys are going to be the first against the wall. Hilarious that the internet is full of very online people who sit all day in their comfortable bedroom at their parents house who think when the workers rise up they'll make them the leader. All that said... well, it's a long way of saying why I don't post Eileen Gu more often. She is not just an internet influencer in the sense that she is one of the most talented athletes in the world. She's also not just an internet influencer in the sense that she works hand in hand with an oppressive regime and I would hope we are all well awake to the dangers of autocracy across the world at the moment. Of course, I think there are thousands if not hundreds of thousands of influencers who would also gladly take her place politically for more money, so she is only unique in that she has more value than them. All this just means that while she is beautiful and talented, I end up not posting her as often as I probably would if she was just skier Eileen Gu. I guess the last thing it makes me think is all the people who get angry at everything and want politics out of whatever it is they want to mindlessly absorb. The politics were always there, you just weren't paying attention. Today I want to fuck Eileen Gu.
