eiw and cake forgetting the world around them when they’re together

The hesitation! That moment of choice! Cake never hesitates with Eiw... except when it's something so big he doesn't know what to do with it, he doesn't know how to express it.

And this is why he hesitated. No girlfriends. No one else in his heart besides Eiw. And he wants to be clear about that. That there's no one else.

That their first love is still waiting in his heart.

But he's still afraid. He knows that first love is just that, first love, first chance, that he's been gone for four years, that Eiw has been living a life for all that time with so many people.

This is Cake seeking reassurance, seeking to know that Eiw waited for him in every way, hoping that Eiw will tell him that their love is not just something he imagined, not just something he dreamed up while they were apart and he was waiting to go back home.

Cake watches Eiw sleep with shining eyes because he loves him but there is still time and distance between them and they have both grown and changed in their time apart and those worn edges that they once had have been worn away on other people now.

And Cake loves Eiw but he loves Eiw in a way that has to be learned because what he loves is a memory four years old that has changed and he needs to accept and to love those changes all the same as he loves the Cake that was in his memories.

The episode was amazing like always of course but I'm sorry y'all I can't get the "then I'll be gay with you" line, listen I know I know it was supposed to be serious and heartfelt but I almost choked laughing at that, fucking hilarious

So, twelve percent, lots of things happened

They're adorable lets start there

That intro scene was needed

I can't tell if the jealousy stuff is genuine or if they're just short of "doing couply things" or sth (im expecting and hoping that they're not actually that serious) (cake looooves to hear how special they are to each other and eiw reminding him was sweet yeah) i think if something actually bothered eiw , from the public affection stuff cake wouldn't do it, they know each other well enough i think and you can see how all the stuff that attributed to their fight becomes kind of a joke now , the tension has released i think.(take a shot every time i say i think)

I always love seeing cake talk about eiw to other people, he's just so casual with others and he brings his love and obsession into that so firmly but casually

The english was funny but im not judging what gets them on what i WILL JUDGE because THE ECLIPSE DID IT TOO: THESE BOYS HAVE VACANT HOMES, empty houses where they can go and do their thing and fOR SOME REASON bOth akkaye and eiwcake decide that THEY NEED COMPANY AROUND FOR THEIR FIRST TIMES, like babe, i get that shit happens and its realistic yeah but twice in a week is noticable and I just find it very funny that both shows waited for the ONE TIME that someone's around for their first sex scene.

I was thinking throughout the english and the whole episode really how eiw went from thinking about this stuff as something that will never happen to being showered with them, i love yous and kisses and all

The "you like girls", "i can be gay with you" was just because cake hasn't stopped to think about his sexuality beyond the fact that he liked rin and he loves eiw and im okay with that, im guessing (and maybe hoping a bit) that it's brought up again, for no other reason other than the fact that it just seems a little weird to go with the "its girls and him" thing the only ones that pulled it off for me were jackjanto and eiw probably feels it hanging over them a little bit sometimes

I too drank a lot last night and for a second eiw's little crazy "don't do drugs kids"thing worked,i am amazed, i actually felt my self thinking "yeah what the hell am i doing" wow

Friend groups in general, so nice and casual and just the right amounts of fun , love it

I needed a moment to let cake's feelings sink in, he threw me off with how he was last week and i was feeling a little defensive but it's not just that it's that we've seen eiw love and love and cake too but romantic love , romantic love so forceful and so huge so complete so all consuming, thinking about it makes me skip a breath or two they trully are each other's everything and there's SO MUCH love that comes with that. They really love everything about each other.

Four years apart and he never forgot, neither of them ever forgot, and now they can share an embrace again after so long apart, can be together again in a way that is muscle memory and desperate wishes and Cake can feel the shape of Eiw in his arms again, Eiw can feel the warmth of those arms again and they are back home.

Home might have changed but this part of home has stayed the same.

They are just the sweetest, most loving boyfriends and I love that they can still be there for each other in joy and in pain and no matter what happens, they stay together and find comfort in each other's arms.

Cake really did go from 0 to 100 in terms of his relationship with Eiw. Just... this boy didn't so much have an oh moment as he did a 360 spin in midair and landed exactly where he was but also, somehow, in an entirely new location.

I love them so much and their entire relationship is so cute and sweet and loving and understanding and built on knowing each other and loving each other and tears and the truth and openness and it's beautiful.

Eiw gets to be comfortable and happy and himself no matter what, to be open about being gay with his fellow students, to have a comfortable place he can land that isn't just Cake is great. And Noey instantly clocking them is great. She knows and she supports and she loves her friend so much and it's great.

Honestly, the change between Eiw now being the one who knows more people and is more open and Cake looking to him for everything and instantly leaving people behind for his sake is absolutely poetic.

Eiw is the one creating space this time, he's the one who has his own world and his own friends and his own life and Cake is the one who wants him there at every moment, at his side, there to wake him up and there to be taken care of by him as well. He wants every second he can get with him.

Cake watching Eiw talk to his seniors and their comfort with him, the way they chat with him, the way they know him... he wants that to be him again, to be the one that chats with him and knows him and loves him, yes, loves him.

I think Cake knows more about his feelings towards Eiw than he wants to admit, even to himself. Because he is so jealous and possessive and so quick to seek his attention, quick to demand him at his side. He wants to be able to be everything to Eiw, like he was, and maybe more.

Cake is holding himself together desperately for everyone in his life and he's pushing Rin away because he knows she's going to leave him and he's aching but as long as he can put a smile on his face for Eiw he feels like he can still be himself.

But it's also because part of why he broke up with Rin was because he wanted to spend more time with Eiw. He broke up with her because of how much he wants to be with his friend, how much he wants to stay with the person he knows will always choose him in the end.

Cake keeps waking up early because he just can't sleep. He's so excited and desperate for his time with Eiw. He needs this time and he needs this chance and he's just desperate for what they have not to end even though he knows it will end and that it must end.

They just need each other so much. They've always needed each other and now they have to live three years without that need, without a familiar part of their heart and soul, without this touch and these words and these voices

Cake's role as Eiw's protector is deeply ingrained in his self-image, a central part of how he views himself in relation to others and especially in relation to Eiw. To lose that part of himself, to realize that Eiw doesn't need him to protector anymore is going to shake him to his core.

That's why he's going to lash out, that's why he's so desperate to cling to Eiw rather than his other friends. Eiw is still the center of his self-image, the center of his emotional world. He says he was never a player in America and I'd wholly believe he never made any long-lasting commitments in America because he was always caught up in Eiw back home.

But Eiw doesn't need a protector. Not the same way. He needs a friend, a lover, someone important to him, the chosen other half of his soul... but not a protector and Cake is going to have to realize that he is part of Eiw's life but Eiw's life has expanded.

They have to learn how to communicate after a lifetime of simply understanding each other with familiarity and that's going to hurt.
