Unknown to many, we almost lost Mommy.

Her cancer had become highly aggressive this quarter, spread to other parts of her body, and resulted in pulmonary edema and skin metastasis. The overproduction of fluid in her lungs and the burning pain of lesions on her skin were connected to her breast cancer, and had caused her to be rushed to the emergency room twice in a span of only a month and a half.

If you had been following her story, you knew she (1) had ovarian cyst that resulted in her hysterectomy, (2) had brain tumor which calcified, (3) had breast cancer that resulted in her double mastectomy, (4) had carpal tunnel syndrome from an incident at her workplace, and (5) has lymphedema which were triggered by both 3 and 4.

This timeline seems to show that life had not been completely kind to her for the past 26 years. But despite her and our "whys?", she embraces God's plan for her life, and posts bible verses in her Facebook stories to remind all of us to continue trusting God even in the most heartbreaking and unfortunate situations.

And now, as we are once again reminded that life is a vapor that appears for a little while then vanishes, our family thanks God for the lives we have borrowed, and promises to cherish each day even more that we are complete. Because after all, if we look at things from a different perspective, it has been 26 years of miracles and counting
